Extensive reading helps students not only gain reading proficiency, but also improve the overall language competence by reading for pleasure outside of the class, while intensive reading develops reading skills by reading in the class. 2. The novel, Dead Poets Society, is a story about high school students who find their identities with the help of their teacher.
