플립 러닝을 활용한 학문 목적 한국어 발표 수업 모형 연구

Abstract

The purpose of the study is to find ways to enhance the ability of Korean learners for academic purposes by developing a teaching-learning design model that combines flipped learning with Korean presentations for academic purposes. The amount of research has increased on the guidance on teaching Korean language for academic purposes as the number of international students and the dropout rate have increased by a great deal; however, the 'writing' area has become more important than 'speaking'. Presentations and discussions has been emphasized focusing on learner-centered activities in college classes; therefore, speech skills for academic purposes are essential for international students to participate in classes and practice activities in practice. On the other hand, flipped learning, which is a learner-centered teaching method, has attracted attention due to the development of technology. Therefore, this study aims to investigate "How to organize a Korean presentation class for academic purposes using flipped learning" as a research topic and to present a teaching model as follows. Chapter 1 describes the purpose and necessity of this study while examining previous studies related to flipped learning and speaking presentation education for academic purposes. Chapter 2 summarizes the characteristics, structure and significance of flipped learning; the components of presentation classes and the processes are summarized in stages. Chapter 3 examines how flipped learning in this study will be structured, the tools for its composition, and applies flipped learning to presentation classes. Chapter 4 presents a model of a class for a lesson for each stage of the lesson plan that the study has discussed in the previous chapter. The activities of each flipped learning stage are established with the theme of "Environment and Energy": selecting a topic, setting up presentation strategies, structuring presentation discourse, and practicing presentation expressions by practicing discourse markers. Chapter 5 summarizes the contents of Chapter 1 through 4 to present the result, implications and limitations of this study.;본 연구는 학문 목적 한국어 발표 수업과 플립 러닝을 결합하는 교수·학습 설계 모형을 개발하여 학문 목적 한국어 학습자들의 발표 능력을 고취시킬 수 있는 방법을 모색하는 데 목적을 두었다. 외국인 유학생 수의 증가와 함께 중도 탈락률 또한 큰 폭으로 상승하고 있는 시점에서 학문 목적 한국어 교육에 대한 지도 방안 등 연구량이 증가하였지만 최근까지는 ‘말하기’보다 ‘쓰기’ 영역이 더욱 중요시되었던 것이 사실이다. 그러나 최근 대학(원) 수업에서 학습자 중심으로 진행되는 등 발표와 토론이 중시되면서 학문 목적 말하기는 외국인 유학생들이 실제적으로 수업에 참여하고 과제 활동을 하는 데 필수라고 할 수 있겠다. 한편, 테크놀로지 기술의 발전으로 학습자 중심 교수법인 플립 러닝이 주목받고 있다. 이에 본 연구에서는 ‘플립 러닝을 활용한 학문 목적 한국어 발표 수업을 어떻게 구성할 것인가?’를 연구 문제로 설정하고 수업 모형을 제시하고자 하였는데 각 장을 살펴보면 다음과 같다. 1장에서는 본 연구에 대한 목적과 필요성에 대해 서술하고 플립 러닝과 학문 목적 말하기 발표 교육에 관련하여 선행 연구를 살펴보았다. 2장에서는 플립 러닝의 특징, 구성 그리고 유의점을 정리하였으며, 발표 수업의 구성 요소와 진행 방법을 단계별로 정리하였다. 3장에서는 본 연구에서의 플립 러닝이 어떻게 구성될지, 그 구성에 따른 도구들을 살펴본 뒤 발표 수업에 플립 러닝을 적용하였다. 4장에서는 앞 장에서 살펴보았던 수업 설계의 각 단계에 맞춰 한 차시에 대한 수업의 실례를 제시하였다. ‘환경과 에너지’를 주제로 주제 선정 및 자료 조사에서의 발표 전략과 발표 담화 구조화, 담화 표지 연습으로 발표 표현 익히기를 플립 러닝 단계별로 활동을 구성하였다. 5장에서는 1장부터 4장까지의 내용을 총정리하여 본 연구의 결과와 의의 및 한계점을 제시하였다.
