우리나라 중등학교 학생들의 생활속 대중음과 학교 정규 음악수업의 대중음악 활동 실태 및 요구에 관한 조사

Abstract

본 연구는 중등학교 학생들이 일상생활 속 대중음악 활동의 모습과 교과서 안에 기재되어 있는 활동을 중심으로 학교 정규 음악 수업에서 학습자들이 어떤 수업을 받고 있는지 파악하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 이러한 연구의 목적을 위해 서울시에 소재한 중, 고등학교 학생 206명을 대상으로 설문을 시행하였으며 연구 방법을 통해 얻은 자료는 SPSS 통계프로그램을 사용하여 분석하였다. 또한 설문지로 충족되지 않는 부분을 면담을 통해 보강하였다. 연구의 결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 첫째, 중등학교 학생들이 실생활에서 가장 많이 접하는 음악은 대중음악으로 나타났으며, 특히 감상을 통해 대중음악을 접하고 있었다. 그 외에도 악기연주, 창작활동(작사, 작곡, 랩 만들기)등 다양한 음악활동을 통해 대중음악을 즐기고 있는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 대중음악교육을 받아본 학생은 전체의 30%의 비율로 비교적 적은 수의 학생들이 접한 것으로 나타났다. 대중음악 수업에서 중등학교 학생들이 받아본 영역별 활동은 가창‘악곡의 특징을 살려 노래 부르기’, 기악‘악곡의 특징을 살려 개성 있게 연주하기’, 감상‘리메이크된 곡을 원곡과 비교하여 감상하기’, 창작‘악곡의 가사를 바꾸어 넣어보기’로 나타났으며, 수행평가에서는 ‘가사의 의미와 특징을 살려 노래 부르기’, ‘하나의 악곡을 정하여 악기로 연주’하였다는 결과를 얻을 수 있었다. 셋째, 학생들이 대중음악교육에서 원하는 활동은 다음과 같이 나타났다. 영역별로 가창‘가사의 의미와 느낌을 살려 노래 부르기’, 기악‘드럼이나 리듬악기로 악곡을 연주하기’, ‘악곡의 특징을 살려 개성 있게 연주하기’활동을 선호하며, 기타(Guitar)를 배워보고 싶어 하는 학생들이 많았다. 감상영역 에서는 ‘한 가수(혹은 그룹)나 작곡가의 여러 곡을 찾아 감상하기’, ‘리메이크된 곡을 원곡과 비교하여 감상하기’ 활동을 선호한다는 것을 알 수 있었다. 마지막으로 창작영역에서는 ‘악곡이나 주제에 어울리는 뮤직 비디오를 만들기’를 선호한다는 것을 알 수 있었다. 창작영역의 응답을 대중음악교육 경험과 비교하여 본다면 학생들은 실제 창작 수업을 받지는 않지만, 창작 활동에 관심이 높다는 것을 알 수 있다. 본 연구는 대중음악교육의 실태를 파악하고 대중음악 수업 활동에 대한 학습자들의 요구에 대해 알아봄으로써 대중음악교육이 발전하기 위한 방향을 제시하는데 의의가 있다. 본 연구를 바탕으로 학생들이 원하는 대중음악교육의 모습을 보다 세밀히 관찰하고 교사가 지향하는 대중음악교육의 모습을 접목시켜 다양한 모습의 대중음악교육 프로그램이 개발되기를 기대한다.;The purpose of this study is to find out what kind of classes the students are receiving in the regular music class in the school, focusing on the activities of the middle school students in the daily life and the activities in the textbooks. For the purpose of this study, 206 middle and high school students in Seoul were surveyed and the data obtained through the research method were analyzed using SPSS statistical program. In addition, interviews were used to reinforce the questionnaire. The results of the study are summarized as follows. First, the music that middle school students most frequently encountered in real life appeared as popular music. Especially, they watched popular music through appreciation. In addition, he has been enjoying popular music through various musical activities such as playing musical instruments, creating activities (writing, composing, and making a rap). Second, a relatively small number of students received the popular music education at a rate of 30%. Secondary school students in the popular music class receive activities in the following categories: 'singing songs with the characteristics of music', 'listening to the characteristics of music', 'listening', comparing the remake with the original 'And' changing the lyrics of the music '. In the performance evaluation, it was found that' singing songs with the meaning and characteristics of the lyrics' and 'playing a musical instrument with one song' were obtained. Third, the activities that students want in popular music education are as follows. I prefer to use songs and songs to sing songs and songs, to play music with drums and rhythm instruments, and to play songs with characteristics of music. There were many students who wanted to see. In the listening comprehension area, it was found that they favored the activities of 'listening to a song (or a group) or listening to a song of a composer' and 'listening to a remake of the song compared to the original song'. Finally, I found that I prefer to make a music video that matches music or theme. Comparing the response of the creative area with the experience of popular music education, students do not receive actual creative lessons, but they are interested in creative activities. The purpose of this study is to present the direction of the development of popular music education by understanding the actual condition of popular music education and understanding the needs of the students for the activities of popular music class. Based on this research, we hope to develop various kinds of popular music education programs by closely observing the state of popular music education desired by students and incorporating the figure of popular music education that teachers are aiming at.
