국내 과학의 본성 관련 최근 연구 동향

Abstract

과학의 본성은 국내외 과학교육에서 중요한 목표가 되는 요소이다. 그럼에도 불구하고, 과학의 본성과 관련한 국내연구동향에 대해 분석하고 검토해 본 연구는 부족한 실정이다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 국내 학술지에 발표된 과학의 본성과 관련된 논문들을 대상으로 연구주제별, 연구방법별, 연구대상별 연구 동향을 살펴보았다. 특히 연구방법 측면에서는 크게 질적연구, 양적연구, 혼합연구로 나누었으며, 수업방법과 관련한 연구는 수업내용에 따라 명시적 접근방법과 암시적 접근방법으로 분류하여 분석하였다. 본 연구의 결과 및 결론을 요약하면 다음과 같다. 첫째, 연구주제별로 분석하였을 때, 과학의 본성에 대한 인식을 조사해본 연구가 가장 많았고, 다음으로는 과학의 본성에 대한 인식을 향상시키기 위한 수업 방법 및 프로그램에 관한 연구, 교과서와 교육과정에 제시된 과학의 본성에 관한 연구 순이었다. 연구방법 측면에서는 양적연구, 질적연구, 혼합연구 등 다양하게 사용되었으며, 양적연구의 비중이 많았다. 또한 연구 대상은 교사와 학생이 주를 이루었으며, 그 중 중·고등학생을 대상으로 한 연구가 가장 많았다. 둘째, 과학의 본성에 대한 인식 조사는 연구에 사용한 검사 도구에 따라 분류해보았으며, 교사의 경우 과학의 본성에 대한 인식조사 연구 초반부터 현재까지 대체적으로 과학의 본성에 대해 전통적인 관점과 현대적인 관점의 중간적인 입장을 갖는 것을 볼 수 있었다. 반면 학생들은 연구 초반에는 과학의 본성에 대한 현대적인 관점을 갖지 못하였으나, 최근에는 비교적 현대적인 관점을 갖는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 과학의 본성에 대한 인식을 향상시키기 위한 수업방법은 명시적인 접근방법과 암시적인 접근방법으로 살펴보았다. 일반적으로 명시적 접근 방법을 사용하였을 때가 암시적 접근 방법을 사용하였을 때보다 과학의 본성에 대한 인식을 긍정적으로 변화시킨 것으로 나타났다. 이와 같은 연구 결과를 바탕으로, 과학의 본성과 관련한 연구가 꾸준히 지속되고 있지만, 과학의 본성에 대한 올바른 인식을 갖도록 하는 것이 쉽지 않음을 확인하였다. 따라서 과학의 본성을 올바르게 함양시킬 수 있도록 다양한 수업방법을 개발하는 연구가 꾸준히 이루어져야 할 것이다. ;In this study, I analyzed the trends of domestic research on the nature of science through the articles related to the nature of science published in Korea from 1975 to 2018. We also looked at how the perception of science has changed in the past studies, and what teaching methods have been applied to improve the understanding of the nature of science. The conclusions and suggestions of this study are as follows. First, the research on the nature of science was the most studied, followed by the study of teaching methods and programs to improve the perception of nature of science, the nature of science presented in textbooks and curriculum Research. The research methods were quantitative research, qualitative research and mixed research. Most of the studies on the recognition of the nature of science were carried out in quantitative researches. After applying the teaching method to improve the awareness of the nature of science, the researches that confirmed the degree of change of recognition were often used the mixed research. In addition, most of the studies (48.3%) were conducted mainly for middle and high school students, and about 29% of all papers were for teachers. Second, the cognitive research on the nature of science was categorized according to the examination tools used in the research. Teachers' perception of the nature of science From the beginning to the present study, I can see that it has an intermediate position. On the other hand, students did not have a modern perspective on the nature of science at the beginning of the research, but recently they have a relatively modern viewpoint. Third, the method of teaching to improve the perception of nature of science was examined by explicit approach and implicit approach. In general, the use of an explicit approach has positively changed the perception of the nature of science rather than the implicit approach. In the class using the explicit approach, science history and role play were used. Among the explicit teaching methods, when using reflective class with discussion and inquiry activities, it is helpful to improve the perception of nature of science correctly I could see. Based on the results of this study, the suggestions of this study are as follows. The study of the nature of domestic science focuses on the study of the perception of the nature of science and the research on the teaching methods to improve the perception of the nature of science positively is insufficient, It is necessary to study more actively about teaching methods for improvement. In addition, despite the emphasis on the nature of science within the curriculum, many students and teachers have not had a modern perception of the nature of science and have found it difficult to change from traditional to modern perception. Therefore, it is necessary to continuously study various methods of teaching to develop the nature of science properly. In particular, teachers' awareness of the nature of science affects the formation of students' conceptions of science, so teacher training for teachers' nature education needs to be strengthened.
