침습적 외상 기억의 조형적 표현

Abstract

경험을 바탕으로 한 기억은 연구자에게 내재된 감정들과 함께 발현되어 크고 작은 행동으로 연결된다. 각 경험들은 기억으로 남아 특정한 감정으로 내면에 존재한다. 그러므로 기억한다는 것은 당시의 상황 뿐만 아니라 특정한 감정을 되새기는 것이다. 이러한 과정 속에서 연구자는 특정한 경험 후 지금까지 살아오며 스스로 변화된 행동에 대해 집중적으로 관찰해 보았다. 본 논문은 연구자의 10대 시절 교우관계에 있어서 오래된 기억이 지금까지 일상의 삶에 영향을 끼친 감정에 대해 시각적 언어를 사용해 청소년기의 관계 소멸을 경험한 후 정서적 변화를 겪으며 나타난 태도, 감정 상태를 조형적으로 표현하고자 한 것이다. 이를 위해 첫째, 이론적 접근을 통해 우선 심리학에서 침습적 외상 기억이 감정에 미치는 결과를 살펴보았다. 둘째, 관계 상실이 청소년기에 미치는 영향에 대한 문헌 연구가 수행된다. 셋째, 조형 표현으로 연구자가 얘기하고자 하는 감정에 대한 표현이 타당한지에 대한 이론 연구도 진행한다. 현대 미술에서 외상 이후 감정 표현과 관계 상실 후 정서적 표현을 한 사례를 살펴보고, 조형적 연구에서 연구자의 작업 주제와 관련된 작가의 작품과 조형적 표현과 관련된 작품 사례를 연구하였으며, 이를 통해 연구자가 주제에 접근하는 방향에 대해 탐구하였다. 그리고 이러한 연구과정에서 기존의 구체화된 작품의 사례 연구를 통해 실제 작품을 제작할 때 참고하였다. 작업 진행을 위해 드로잉으로 먼저 작업을 구상하였고, 투명성 효과를 이용한 공간 구축적 작품제작을 위해 전체적으로 낚싯줄, 투명사(Monofilament thread)를 주재료로 사용하였다. 그리고 뜨개질(Knitting) 기법을 이용하여 관계들이 꼬여가고 혼란스러워지는 상황을 은유적으로 표현하고자 하였으며, 그 중 코바늘을 이용한 크로셰(Crochet)기법을 통해 낚싯줄을 코일의 형태를 가진 하나의 실로 만들었다. 이렇게 제작을 한 이유는 실을 엮어 가는 과정이 연구자가 살아오면서 만들어가는‘관계 맺음’과 유사하다고 판단했기 때문이다. 이를 바탕으로 총 7 개의 작품이 제작되었으며, 일반 섬유 소재로 나타낸 평면에 국한되지 않고 투명한 소재로 공간 속에 연출하는 조형 언어의 배경을 만들 수 있는지 실험해 보았다. 이 과정을 통해 연구자가 경험한 일과 감정, 그 이후의 변화는 특별한 것이 아니라 그와 유사한 일을 경험한 사람이라면 누구나 겪는 과정임을 알게 되었다. 이를 예술로 표현하는 것은 작품을 통해 타인과 공감대를 형성하며 소통의 가능성이 있음을 확인하였다. ;Experience-based memory is expressed with the emotions inherent in the researcher and leads to large and small actions. Each experience remains a memory and exists inside with a particular emotion. Therefore, to remember is to reflect not only the situation at the time, but also the particular emotion. In this process, researchers focus on the behavior that has lived so far since a particular experience and changed themselves. This paper is intended to provide a figurative account of the feelings of the my long-standing memories of friendship as a teenager that have influenced everyday life so far. Visual language refers to the attitude and state of emotions that have emerged through emotional changes after experiencing the disappearance of relationships in adolescence. In the theoretical approach to this, first look at the effect of invasive trauma memories on the emotions in psychology. And aesthetics studies are conducted on the effects of loss of relationships on adolescence. I will also study whether the expression of emotion that I want to talk about as a form expression is appropriate. In modern art, I looked at examples of post-traumatic emotional expressions and post-traumatic emotional expressions, studied examples of works by authors related to the subject of a my work, and explored the direction in which the my approached the topic. In this course of study, I refer to the case studies of existing concrete works to produce real works. To proceed with the work, I first planned the work with drawing, and to create a space-constructed work using the transparency effect, I used fishing lines and a monofilament thread as the main material.And using the Knitting technique, I wanted to metaphorically express a situation where relationships became twisted and confused, and I made the fishing line into a thread in the form of a coil through a crochet technique using a crochet. The reason for the production is that the process of assembling threads is similar to a relationship that I make throughout my lives. Based on this, a total of seven pieces have been produced and experimented on whether the background of the language is created in the form of a formative language that is produced in space with transparent material, not limited to the plane represented by ordinary textile materials. My experiences, emotions and subsequent changes are not unique, but are a process that anyone who has experienced similar things. Expressing this with art creates a consensus with others through the work and confirms that there is a possibility of communication. They could create a background of the language of sculpture in a transparent material, not limited to the plane represented by ordinary textile materials.
