자아개념과 자아의 형성

Abstract

This thesis is a research on crafted bowls for the further understanding of an ego. It is intended to present how the ego of oneself confronts with that of others, as well as discovers and investigates itself through deep thoughts. In addition, this thesis is to interpret and recreate a norm of the ego-growth followed by ego-disclosure reflected by the bowls. Shortly, following is about a consistent progress of the ego from establishment and reification to visualization, which is rooted from personal experiences of the researcher. Ego is consequential layers of interactivity on the basis of the one playing multidimensional roles in society; the very ego enables itself to transform actively – that is to say, questioning who I am is to determine how I live. The idea is expanded by displaying the bowls in a different way to represent that the ego transforms each moment. Color and texture of clay diversify shape and size of the bowls, which is associated with the ego that cannot help but transform in accordance to the interactions with various people. The meaning of work is enhanced by the bowls of highly harmonized disposition while they reflect the diversity of egos. As an entire record of the individual ego, this thesis is about the researcher who fosters the research further inside. Additionally, it shows that it is significantly necessary to communicate with a variety of people, which cultures the ego at last, and it is promoted to sustain overall growth of the ego through this research.;본 논문은 자아에 대하여 탐구한 과정을 그릇으로 표현한 조형적 연구이다. 자아에 대한 고찰로써, 본인 스스로의 자아를 상세히 대면하고, 나아가 타인의 자아에 직면하여 변화와 성장하는 과정을 그릇으로 표현하고자 하였다. 또한 본 연구자는 자아의 긍정적 성장에 있어 자아개방의 중요성을 인식하고, 만남에서 오는 자아의 상호작용에 대하여 연구하였다. 그것은 동시에 타인과의 만남을 계기로 변화하는 자아개념에 대한 고찰이기도 하다. 자아개념은 타인과의 상호작용 속에서 형성된다. 이러한 자아개념이 역동적으로 축적되어 형성된 자신에 대한 인식을 바탕으로 자아는 자신이 나아갈 방향을 선택하여 성장해 나간다. 이를 삶 전체의 시점에서 바라본다면 자아에 대한 인식(나는 어떤 사람인가)이 삶의 방법(어떻게 살 것인가)을 결정한다고 할 수 있다. 본 연구자는 자아 표현의 매개체로 그릇(器)을 택하여, 다양한 배치를 시도하며 상황에 따라 변화하는 본인의 자아개념을 표현하고자 하였다. 그릇은 형상과 크기뿐만아니라 태토의 색감과 질감에 따라 다양하다. 이러한 그릇의 구성적 다양함은 다른 경험에 의해 형성된 다양한 자아개념을 표현하기에 효과적이었다. 자아개념들이 어떻게 조화롭게 어우러져 하나의 자아로 성장해 나아가는지에 대한 고찰을 그릇의 형상으로 표현하였다. 본 연구는 조형작업을 통하여 연구자 본인의 자아성장의 과정과 타인과의 만남을 통해 변화해가는 자아개념을 기록하고 긍정적 자아 성장을 도모하고자 하였다.
