불안한 시대의 무기력한 인간 표현연구

Abstract

Modern society dominates the power of nature with the most advanced technology of any time in the past, thereby satisfying all the material desires of human beings. Despite the increasingly convenient times, the mental health of humans living in them is becoming increasingly impoverished. Industrialization and mechanization are fueling the inhumanization of human nature, and in today's society with inherent uncertainties, anxiety is becoming more prevalent. From the past to the present, the constant study of the underlying meaning of anxiety shows that anxiety has become an essential element of human life. Modern people who live in this age live a life dominated by anxiety. Today's post-capitalistic economic system produces infinite competition and poor income families, causing social unrest. Under these structures, humans feel threatened by survival as well as social threats that they may be ostracized from their groups. The repeated experience of failure in unpredictable and unavoidable circumstances puts a person in a sense of helplessness that no matter how hard he tries, he cannot overcome the current negative situation. In today's society, the background that causes lethargy comes from an environment that everyone has to fail at any time. Modern people live through numerous failures amid the heated competition of an era that is changing rapidly. Repetition of failure experiences, such as academic failure, business failure, and marriage failure, is the cause of "weapons," which can be easily found not only by mentally ill people but also by ordinary people living in our time. This study begins with the experience of lethargy you feel when you can't solve a situation no matter how hard you try and do your best. This experience was driven by the idea of incompetence and worthlessness that led to the expression of a human being who was in a state of inanimate desire to do what he was supposed to do. Therefore, the purpose of this research is to formulate the impotence as a process of life that can be experienced by anyone and to create an opportunity to live in a society that induces lethargy, and to live in a society that induces lethargy. In this study, human figures are common. The human body expressed in the work did not specify age and gender as one of its own, distorting it thinner and longer than the actual rate as a way to more effectively express feelings of inactivity, and presented an image of a limp, powerless descent. These expressed human beings were meant to be alone in each work, and to project images of people voluntarily isolating modern individuals from various sources of violence. Through these expressions, researcher wants to ask us who are living in this age if you are living in lethargy now.;현대 사회는 과거 그 어떤 시대 보다 첨단의 기술력으로 자연의 힘을 지배하고 있으며 그로 인해 인간은 원하는 모든 물질적 욕망을 충족할 수 있게 되었다. 점점 더 편리해져만 가는 시대적 상황 속에도 불구하고 그 안에 살고 있는 인간의 정신건강은 점점 더 피폐해져 간다. 산업화, 기계화는 인간성의 비인간화 현상을 더욱 부추기고 있으며, 불확실성이 내재되어있는 현대사회에서 불안은 더욱 팽배해져만 간다. 과거부터 현대에 이르기까지 불안의 근원적인 의미에 대한 연구가 끊임없이 이루어지는 것으로 미루어 보아, 불안은 인간 삶에서 빼놓을 수 없는 기본적인 요소가 되어버렸다는 것을 알 수 있다. 현 시대를 살아가는 현대인은 불안에 의해 지배되는 삶을 살고 있다. 오늘날 후기 자본주의 경제체제는 무한경쟁과 빈익빈 부익부를 양산하며, 사회구조적인 불안을 야기하고 있다. 이러한 구조 속에서 인간은 경쟁에서 도태되어 생존의 위협을 느끼는 동시에 소속된 집단에서 배척당할지도 모른다는 사회적위협까지 느끼게 된다. 예측할 수 없고, 피할 수 없는 상황 속에서 반복된 실패의 경험은 사람으로 하여금 아무리 노력해도 자신의 의지로는 현재의 부정적인 상황을 극복 할 수 없다는 무력감에 빠지게 한다. 현대 사회에서 무기력을 야기하는 배경은 누구나 언제든지 실패할 수밖에 없는 환경으로 부터 발생한다. 현대인들은 빠르게 변하는 시대의 과열된 경쟁 속에서 수많은 실패를 경험하며 살아간다. 학업 실패, 사업 실패, 결혼 실패 등등 실패 경험의 반복이 ‘무기력’을 유발하는 원인이며, 이는 정신적으로 병적 질환을 갖는 사람들뿐만 아니라 우리 시대를 살아가는 평범한 사람들에게도 어렵지 않게 발견할 수 있다. 본 연구는 아무리 노력하고 최선을 다해도 상황을 해결 할 수 없을 때 느끼는 무기력의 경험으로부터 시작된다. 이러한 경험은 자신이 무능력하고 무가치 하다는 생각에 사로잡혀 마땅히 할 수 있어야 하는 일을 할 수 없는 무의욕의 상태에 놓여 있는 인간을 표현하게 된 원동력이 되었다. 따라서 본 연구는 누구나 겪을 수 있는 삶의 과정으로써의 무기력을 조형적으로 표현해보고, 이를 통해 무기력을 유발하는 사회에 살고 현대인들에게 자신의 삶은 지금 어떠한가를 되돌아 볼 수 있도록 하는 계기를 만들어 보고자 함에 그 목적이 있다. 본 연구에서는 공통적으로 인체의 형상이 등장한다. 작품에 표현된 인체는 본연의 존재로서의 인간을 표현하고자 나이와 성별을 하나로 특정 짓지 않았으며, 무기력의 감정을 보다 효과적으로 나타내기 위한 방법으로 실제 비율보다 얇고 길게 왜곡하며, 힘이 없어 축 늘어진 하강의 이미지를 나타냈다. 이렇게 표현된 인간들은 작품마다 홀로 존재하는 모습을 띠며, 현대의 개인을 폭력하는 여러 가지들로부터 자발적으로 고립시키고 있는 사람들의 모습을 투영해보고자 하였다. 이러한 표현들을 통해서 연구자는 이 시대를 살아가고 있는 우리들에게 지금 당신은 무기력 하게 살고 있지는 않은가에 대해 되묻고자 한다.
