Abstract

본 논문은 본인의 석사과정 졸업연주 프로그램인 루드비히 판 베토벤(Ludwig van Beethoven, 1770-1827)의 『Piano Sonata in f minor, Op. 57』, 로베르트 알렉산더 슈만(Robert Alexander Schumann, 1810-1849)의 『Fantasiestücke Op.12』, 클로드 아실 드뷔시(Claude Achille Debussy, 1862-1918)의 『Images Ⅱ』에 관한 연구이다. 베토벤의 『Piano Sonata in f minor, Op. 57』은 1804년부터 1806년에 걸쳐 작곡된 곡으로 총 3악장 구성이며, 중기 소나타의 특징이 잘 나타나는 작품이다. 제 1악장은 f단조의 전형적인 소나타 형식의 곡으로 격한 감정을 나타낸 악장이다. 제 2악장은 D♭장조의 변주 형식으로 주제와 4개의 변주로 구성되어 있다. 제 3악장은 f단조의 소나타 형식의 곡이며, 나폴리 6화음의 사용으로 베토벤의 대담하고 혁신적인 수법을 살펴볼 수 있다. 슈만의 『Fantasiestücke, Op. 12』는 독일 낭만주의 작곡가 겸 작가로 알려진 E.T.A. 호프만(Ernst Theodor Amadeus Hoffmann, 1776-1882)의 소설『Fantasiestücke in Callot's Mainer (칼롯 풍으로 쓴 환상 소곡집)』중 ‘금항아리’에서 영감을 받아 작곡한 작품이다. 총 여덟 개의 곡으로 이루어져 있으며, 각각의 곡에 제목이 붙어있는 표제음악으로 부제들은 각 곡의 분위기를 함축적으로 나타낸다. 1907년에 작곡된 드뷔시의 『Images Ⅱ』는 ‘Cloches à travers les feuilles(나뭇잎을 스치는 종소리)’, ‘Et la lune descend sur le temple qui fut(황폐한 절에 걸린 달)’, ‘Poissons d'or(금빛 물고기)’의 총 세 곡으로 이루어져 있다. 그는 인상주의 음악의 대표적인 작곡가로서, 전통적인 조성과 화성 법칙에 얽매이지 않고 곡의 분위기와 음색을 표현하는데 다양한 음계와 화음, 리듬을 사용했다. 또한, 곡의 제목이나 지시어에서 볼 수 있듯이 상징적이고 묘사적인 표현들은 신비로운 분위기와 색채감을 나타낸다. ;This paper is a program annotation of 3 pieces: L.v. Beethoven's 『Piano Sonata in f minor, Op. 57』, R. Schumann's 『Fantasiestücke Op. 12』, C. Debussy's 『Images Ⅱ』, which were performed in the author's graduate recital for the Master's degree. L.v. Beethoven(Ludwig van Beethoven, 1770-1827)'s 『Piano Sonata in f minor, Op. 57』, composed from 1804 to 1806, consists of three movements. And, this sonata clearly shows the characteristics of the middle period. The first movement in f minor, is written in the form of typical sonata allegro form. The second movement in D ♭ major is composed of a theme in eight bars and four variations. The third movement is cast in a sonata form in f minor. And, the use of the Neapolitan chord and the elongated coda reflects Beethoven's bold and innovative methods. R. Schumann(Robert Alexander Schumann, 1810-1849) is a representative composer of German Romanticism. His piano work『Fantasiestücke Op. 12』, written in 1837, was inspired by <Fantasiestücke in Callot's Mainer> written by E. T. A. Hoffmann, This musical work is comprised of eight pieces with descriptive titles. These pieces are characterized by the use of cross rhythm, syncopation, and canon. Composed in 1907, C. Debussy(Claude Achille Debussy, 1862-1918)'s 『Images II』 consists of three pieces. He is a representative composer of the 20th-Century Impressionism in music. He used various scales such as pentatonic, wholetone scales, parallel chords, and cross rhythms, to express the poetic and evocative atmosphere of each piece, as implied in the titles.
