Abstract

This study is a study on Gabriel Fauré (1845-1924)’s music, Violin Sonata No.1 op. 13. G. Fauré is a representative French composer from the end of the 19th century to the beginning of the 20th century. He founded the 'National Music Association' with the César Frank (1802-1890) and Camille Saint Sans (1835-1921) after the Franco-Prussian War in 1870 and played a pioneering role in French instrumental music. G. Fauré's music is characterized by a flexible rhythm and a long breathing melody in the classical framework, creating the fame of G. Fauré. <Violin Sonata No.1, in A Major, op.13>, which shows these musical characteristics of G. Fauré, has great significance in the fact that Faure began the first step of chamber music under the influences of French music of the time. This song is composed of 4movements in the form of 1st movement 'Sonata', 2nd movement 'Sonatine', 3rd movement 'Ternary form' and 4th movement 'Sonata Rondo'. In each movement, it shows the original form and various independent musical phrases of G. Fauré. This study examines French music history in the late 19th century, and discusses the life, works, and musical characteristics of G. Faure. In particular, this study presents various perspectives on the understanding of music by the performers through the analysis of works of <Violin Sonata No.1, in A Major, op.13>. ;본 논문은 가브리엘 포레(Gabriel Fauré, 1845-1924) Violin Sonata no.1 op. 13에 관한 연구이다. 포레는 19세기 말에서 20세기 초에 활동한 프랑스의 대표작곡가로, 1870년 보볼 전쟁 후 프랑크(César Frank, 1802-1890)와 생상(Camille Saint Sans, 1835-1921)과 함께‘국민음악협회’를 창립하며 프랑스 기악음악의 선구적인 역할을 하였다. 포레의 음악은 고전적인 틀 안에서 유연한 리듬과 긴 호흡의 선율 등으로 포레만의 선율을 만들어내는 것이 특징이다. 본 논문에서 연구하게 될 <Violin Sonata No.1, in A Major, op.13>은 이러한 포레의 음악적 특징이 잘 나타나있고, 당시 프랑스의 시대적 영향을 받아 실내악의 첫 걸음을 시작했다는 것에 있어서 큰 의미가 있는 작품이다. 이 곡은 전체 4악장 작품으로 1악장 소나타 형식, 2악장 소나티네 형식, 3악장 3부 형식, 4악장 소나타 론도 형식으로 구성되어있다. 각 악장에서는 기존의 형식과 포레만의 다양한 독자적인 음악어법을 보여준다, 본 논문은 19세기 말 프랑스 음악사를 알아보고, 포레의 생애와 작품, 그의 음악적 특징에 대해서 다룬다. 특히 본 연구는 <Violin Sonata No.1, in A Major, op.13>의 작품 분석을 통해 연주자들이 포레의 음악을 이해하는데 있어 다양한 해석의 가능성을 제공하고자 한다.
