- Abstract
라흐마니노프의 첼로를 위한 작품들 중에서도 하나뿐인 첼로소나타「Sonata for Cello and Piano in g minor, Op.19」이 작품은 후기 낭만시대의 자유로운 소나타 악장 형식으로 총 4개의 악장으로 구성되어있다.
본 논문은 라흐마니노프 첼로소나타「Sonata for Cello and Piano in g minor, Op.19」(1901)에 관한 분석연구로 작곡가의 생애 및 작품에 대해 알아보고 음악적 특징을 연구하여 이 작품을 연주하는데 도움을 얻고자 한다. ;This thesis is about maintaining musical Romanticism outnumbered by his strong Nationalism colleagues in Russia, Sergei Rachmaninoff(1873-1943) is one of the Russia born composers and pianists as well in the late 19th century. Affected much by Tchaikovsky he composed a lot of beautiful and lyrical melody of music.「Sonata for Cello and Piano in g minor, Op.19」(1901) clarifies well enough not only his unique and romantic skill to compose, but also optimizes the role of piano even if it is a cello sonata.
It is the sole cello sonata of Rachmaninoff. This music consists of 4 movements, which is the free sonata movement style depicting the late Romanticism. The first movement, a transformed sonata movement style, is grouped in 5 parts; slow tempo introduction, exposition, development, recapitulation, and Coda, and especially the recapitulation skips the primary theme of exposition. The second movement describes g minor subdominant key of c minor tonality and is divided in 4 parts; A-B-A-Coda with fast tempo Scherzo style. The third movement has E♭Major key which is the relative key with the second movement, and is composed of 3 parts with slow and lyrical melody. The forth movement has G Major tonality which represents the same tonic with the first one's g minor key and is divided in 5 parts in typical sonata form; introduction, exposition, development, recapitulation, and Coda.
Hereby this thesis is a research and analysis for「Sonata for Cello and Piano in g minor, Op.19」and the motivations for this thesis are; to look out his life and music, to examine his musical characteristic, and to help the people better play this music.
