중학교 협력종합예술활동 중 뮤지컬수업에 대한 학생 인식 및 개선방안

Abstract

본 연구의 목적은 중학교 협력종합예술활동 중 뮤지컬수업에 대한 학생인식 및 개선방안을 조사 연구하는 것이다. 이를 위해 중학교 3개교의 262명을 대상으로 설문조사를 하였다. 설문지는 일반적 특성, 협력종합예술활동에 대한 인식, ‘협력종합예술활동 중 뮤지컬수업’에 대한 인식‘협력종합예술활동 중 뮤지컬수업’ 만족도로 구성하였으며 총 30문항으로 구성하였다. 수집한 자료의 분석은 연구문제에 따라 빈도분석, 기술통계, χ²검정을 사용하였다. 심층 면담은 6명을 대상으로 실시하여 자료를 수집하였다. 질문지는 지도교수의 지도아래 제작하였으며, 일반적 특성, ‘협력종합예술활동 중 뮤지컬수업’에 대한 만족도, 협력종합예술활동 중 뮤지컬 수업’에 대한 인식, ‘협력종합예술활동 중 뮤지컬수업’ 만족 질문으로 구성하였다. 심층면담은 모든 내용을 녹음하여 전사하였으며, 전사내용을 범주화하여 질적으로 분석하였다. 본 연구의 결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 첫째, 협력종합예술활동을 경험한 모든 학생들이 협력종합예술활동의 실시 목적에 대해 정확하게 인지 할 수 있는 교육이 필요하다는 것을 보여주고 있었다. 둘째, ‘협력종합예술활동 중 뮤지컬수업’에 대한 인식을 조사한 결과, ‘협력종합예술활동 중 뮤지컬수업’은 대부분 교과 간 협력 운영과 창의적 체험활동 운영으로 이루어지고 있었다. 이는 규칙적인 수업이 이루어지지 않고 체계성이 떨어진다는 것을 보여준다. 셋째, ‘협력종합예술활동 중 뮤지컬수업’에 대한 필요성을 조사한 결과, 대부분 학생들은 ‘협력종합예술활동 중 뮤지컬수업’이 매우 필요한 수업이라고 하였지만, ‘협력종합예술활동 중 뮤지컬수업’이 자신에게 큰 도움이 되지 않는다고 응답한 학생들도 있었다. 넷째, ‘협력종합예술활동 중 뮤지컬수업’을 통해 향상된 점을 조사한 결과, ‘협동심 향상’과‘자신감 향상’이 높게 나타났다. 이는 ‘협력종합예술활동 중 뮤지컬수업’을 하면서 학생들이 작품의 완성도를 위해 서로 협력하고 협동하였다는 것을 보여주는 것이며, 무대 경험이라는 낯선 도전을 통해 자신감이 향상된 것으로 유추할 수 있다. 한편 ‘협력종합예술활동 중 뮤지컬수업’의 중요 목표인 ‘인성 교육에 도움’을 받았다고 응답한 답변의 빈도가 낮게 나타났다. 이는 갈등과 의견 충돌이 생겼을 때, 그리고 원만한 해결을 보지 못했을 경우, 학생들은 인성 교육이 향상되지 않은 것이라고 인식하고 있다는 것을 보여준다. 다섯째, 학생들은 뮤지컬 작품을 준비하는 과정에서 교사와의 충돌이 잦아져 심리적으로 위축되었다고 했으며, 준비하는 시간이 많이 부족해서 아쉬웠다고 했다. 여섯째, ‘협력종합예술활동 중 뮤지컬수업’에 대한 만족도를 조사한 결과, 학생들의 만족도는 상당히 높았다. 특히 ‘수업 만족도’, ‘협력 교과 만족도’, ‘수업 후 관계 만족도’, ‘개선된 점’의 네 가지 하위영역 중‘수업 만족도’가 가장 높았다. 학생들은 ‘협력종합예술활동 중 뮤지컬수업’수업에 매우 만족했으며, ‘협력종합예술활동 중 뮤지컬수업’의 영향으로 전반적인 학교생활에 대한 만족도도 높아졌다는 것을 알 수 있다. 따라서 ‘협력종합예술활동 중 뮤지컬수업’이 소기의 목적을 달성하기 위해서는 다음과 같은 개선방안을 제안한다. 첫째, ‘협력종합예술활동 중 뮤지컬수업’이 정규 수업이 되어야 한다. ‘협력종합예술활동 중 뮤지컬수업’이 다른 교과와 같 정기적으로 이루어져야 하며, 작품을 완성할 수 있는 수업시수가 보장되어야한다. 둘째, ‘협력종합예술활동 중 뮤지컬수업’ 전문교사를 양성하기 위한 다양한 교사 연수와 교수법 연구가 필요하다. 셋째, ‘협력종합예술활동 중 뮤지컬수업’에 대한 지식과 기술만을 요구하는 것이 아닌 인성교육 지도를 할 수 있는 수업 도구를 개발해야 한다. ;The purpose of this study is to explore the perception of students taking cooperative integrated arts activities in middle school. This study is based on the conducted survey of 262 students from three middle schools and in-depth interviewing of the six subjects’. The questionnaire consists of 30 questions measuring the common properties, the perceptions of cooperative integrated arts activities, the perceptions of "cooperative integrated arts activities - musical class," and the satisfaction with "cooperative integrated arts activities - musical class". To answer the research question of this study, this article employs frequency analysis, descriptive statistics, and Chi-Square analysis. The questions for the in-depth interview were created under the guidance of an academic adviser; they comprises questions about the common properties, the perceptions of cooperative integrated arts activities, the perceptions of "cooperative integrated arts activities - musical class," and the satisfaction with "cooperative integrated arts activities - musical class". This study uses qualitative research method to analyzes all the in-depth interviews recorded and transcribed. The results of this study are as follows: First, this study shows that all the students participating in the said activities need to be educated to be aware of the purpose of the cooperative integrated arts activities. Second, based on the students' responses to "musical class of the cooperative integrated arts activities," it is revealed that the said class has been offered mostly under the circumstances of collaboration among classes and composed of the creative field activities, showing that the said class has not been regularly offered and falls short of systemicity. Third, in a survey of the necessity for "musical class of the cooperative integrated arts activities" most students responded quite positively to the said class, but some of them said that it was not really helpful to them. Fourth, when it comes to the enhanced point through musical class of the cooperative integrated arts activities, "team spirits" and "self-confidence" are the most improved aspects by which it can be inferred that students have worked together and cooperated while attending the class, getting more confidence while achieving stage experiences at the same time. On the other hand," personality education," one of the most important purposes of the cooperative integrated arts activities, is the least effective point. This means that the personalities of students have not improved when conflicts and disagreements among students were not resolved properly. Fifth, students have responded that they were daunted psychologically in their conflicts with the teacher, and they felt the lack of time for preparation. Sixth, the satisfaction survey shows high level of students' satisfaction with ''. Especially, among the satisfaction on class, cooperation among subjects, relationship after class, and improvements, "class satisfaction" is the highest. The students have satisfied a lot with the musical class included in the cooperative integrated arts activities, by which their overall satisfactions with school life have also increased. Therefore, based upon the results mentioned above, this study suggests as follows: First. the musical class of the cooperative integrated arts activities are to be a regularly organized one. It is to be regularly scheduled just like other classes, and substantial class hours are to be provided toward the completion of artwork. Second, various teacher training programs and studies for teaching methods are essential for securing more professional teachers for musical class. Third, class tools and materials are to be developed for humanity education as well as for knowledge and techniques for musical class.
