스토리텔링을 활용한 음악감상수업의 설계와 적용연구

Abstract

본 연구의 목적은 스토리텔링을 활용한 음악감상수업 설계 및 적용에 대해 연구하는 것이다. 중학교 2학년을 대상으로 개발되었다. 연구자는 연구의 목적을 이루기 위하여 스토리텔링에 대한 연구, 음악 감상수업에 대한 연구, 스토리텔링을 활용하여 수업에 적용시킨 연구로 구분하여 분석하였다. 본 연구는 서울지역의 A중학교 2학년 학생 74명과 경남지역의 B중학교 2학년 학생 51명, 총 125명과 서울지역의 A중학교 음악교사 2명과 경남지역의 B중학교 음악교사 1명, 총 3명을 연구대상으로 선정하였다. 연구방법에서는 대상과 자료수집, 측정도구, 자료 분석에 대해 기술하고자 한다. 양적 연구 도구 설문지는 음악교육 교수 및 교사, 전문가 등 4인의 검토 과정을 거쳐 수정ㆍ 보완 하였다. 지도안은 총 8차시로 구성되어 있으며, 스토리텔링을 활용한 음악감상수업을 설계 및 적용 위해 1차시에는 마왕, 2차시에는 사계 합주 협주곡, 3차시에는 동물의 사육제, 4차시에는 오페라“카르멘”, 5차시에는 호두까기 인형, 6차시에는 백조의 호수, 7차시에는 오페라“요술피리”, 8차시에는 뮤지컬“오페라의 유령”을 제재곡으로 선정하여 스토리텔링을 활용한 총 8차시의 음악감상수업 지도안을 개발하였다. 이어지는 연구결과 및 해석에서는 스토리텔링을 활용한 음악감상수업 설계 및 적용을 한 결과 수업만족도를 높이기 위한 음악감상수업의 지도안의 재구성(보완점)에 대해 기술하고자 한다. 한편, 결론 및 논의에서는 스토리텔링을 활용한 음악감상수업 설계와 적용을 위한 음악감상수업의 재구성에 대해 다시 한 번 언급하고자 한다. 또한 이를 위한 구체적인 방안에 대해 논의하고, 이를 근거로 시스템과 교사, 학생을 중심으로 한 개선 방안에 대해 제언하고자 한다. 본 연구의 결과를 정리하면 다음과 같다. 첫째, 스토리텔링을 활용한 음악감상수업은 감상곡의 내용을 쉽게 이해 할 수 있으며, 학생들의 표현력과 상상력을 증진 시켜 학습흥미도가 높아졌다. 스토리텔링을 활용한 음악감상수업은 감상내용을 쉽게 이해 할 수 있도록 도와주며, 감상을 통해 얻은 자신의 생각을 표현하는데도 도움이 되고, 다양한 상상을 하게하며, 스토리텔링을 활용한 음악감상수업을 통해 얻어진 느낌이나 생각을 쉽게 표현 할 수 있다는 결과를 도출하였다. 둘째, 스토리텔링을 활용한 음악감상수업을 통해 이해와 공감을 바탕으로 하는, 자신의 생각을 이야기하는 의사소통능력을 길러 소통중심의 활동 감상 교수가 원활하게 이루어 졌다. 스토리텔링을 활용한 음악감상수업을 통해 감상곡에 대해 이해한 내용을 친구들과 공감하며 이야기 할 수 있으며, 스토리텔링을 활용한 감상수업이 친구들과 수업내용을 공감하는 부분도 많아 졌으며, 감상수업시간에 모둠별로 친구들과 이야기 나누는 시간도 즐거운 것으로 나타났다는 결론을 도출하였다. 셋째, 스토리텔링을 활용한 음악감상수업은 학생들이 평소의 감상 수업과는 달랐으며, 수업 시작 전, 수업 중, 수업의 마무리 과정에서 매우 흥미롭다는 결과가 도출되었다. 스토리텔링을 활용한 음악감상수업을 통해 평소의 감상 수업과는 매우 달랐으며, 수업은 시작 전, 수업 중, 수업의 마무리 등의 모든 과정들이 매우 흥미로웠던 것으로 나타났다는 결론을 도출하였다. 현재 비교적 감상에 대한 연구는 많이 이루어지고 있으나 스토리텔링을 활용하여 감상수업에 적용시킨 연구가 부족하기 때문에 다양한 연구 설계가 이루어 져야 할 것이다. 이와 같은 결과를 통해서 음악감상수업의 다양한 수업 설계를 연구를 계속 하여야 하고, 교사들의 음악감상연수를 지원하여 교사의 능력이 향상되고, 교사는 다양한 경험과 배움을 통해, 학생들에게 다양한 방식의 스토리텔링을 활용한 음악감상수업을 진행 할 수 있게 될 것이며, 음악감상에 필요한 성능이 좋은 다양한 기자재를 구비하여 시스템을 정비함으로, 학생들에게 스토리텔링을 활용한 음악감상수업이 활성화되기를 기대한다.;The purpose of this study is to understand the development and application of a music listening class which utilizes a storytelling method. It was developed for 8th grade students. In order to achieve the purpose of the study, the researcher analyzed both the storytelling method and the classes which implemented such method to effectively draw out the result. This study selected 125 students and 3 music teachers in total, 74 2nd grade students from A middle school in Seoul, 51 2nd grade students from B middle school in Gyeongnam, 2 music teachers from A middle school in Seoul and 1 music teacher from B middle school in Gyeongnam. It will explain about the target, the tools used and the analysis of the data to describe the method of the study. The survey used to gather quantitative data was revised with reviews from 4 experts including music teacher and professors. The curriculum is comprised of 8 classes, and 8 different musical pieces are selected accordingly to implement the storytelling method into music classes. The following is the list of musical pieces that are selected for the development of the curriculum: The Elf-king for the 1st class, , The Four Seasons for the 2nd , Carnival of the Animals for the 3rd , Opera “Carmen” for the 4th, Nutcracker for the 5th, Swan Lake for the 6th, Opera“The Magic Flute” for the 7th, and the musical “Phantom of Opera” for the 8th class. Subsequently, it will explain the result of the data and provide an analysis of effective methods to revise and improve the curriculum and the satisfaction of the classes that implemented the storytelling method. In the result and discussion section, it will reemphasize the revision on the development and application of the music listening class which applies the storytelling method. Subsequently, it will suggest specific methods that focus on the improvements of the system, teachers and students. The result of the study is as the following: Firstly, music listening class with the implementation of storytelling method help students to easily comprehend the music piece and enhanced students’ expressions and imagination ultimately increasing students’ learning interest. Secondly, music listening class implementing storytelling method allowed students to improve their communication skill by understanding and sympathizing with the music pieces, stimulating communicative classes. Ferent from other music classes, illustrated by high interest from students before, during and after the class.
