교통약자를 위한 지하철 환승 안내 모바일 앱 사용자경험 연구

Abstract

As the subway transfer section gets complicated, the movement of the transportation vulnerable in the subway transfer section is not guaranteed. Thus, the theme of this study is the mobile app user experience design of subway transfer guide for the transportation vulnerable. The objective of this paper is to provide the better user experience(UX) by drawing the improvement method to easily and quickly arrive at the destination for ordinary people and the transportation vulnerable experiencing the inconvenience to move through subway. This study is composed of total five chapters and the contents are as follows. Chapter 1, as the introduction revealed the background, objective, range, and methods of this study. Chapter 2, the theoretical background, it defined the definition and characteristics of 'the mobility handicapped' which are the main users of this study. This study conducted theoretical research of 'universal design' considering that the subject of this study is the mobility handicapped. It also examined mobile app interface characteristics and route-finding principles, given that the subject of this study is a transfer information digital application. In Chapter 3 case study, it analyzed ‘Seoul Subway Transfer Information’ mobile web of Cooperative Federation for the Disabled, ‘muui’ and 'Subway Safety Guard' application of Seoul Metro. It aimed to analyze the characteristics of each service by analyzing the information structure and defining the screens. In addition, it surveyed overseas cases and mobile apps for subway transfer information for the general public. In Chapter 4, survey of users, it investigated the disabled subway users in the field survey site and the facilities in the subway. It conducted a preliminary interview by selecting the mobility handicapped who are the main users, and observed the movement process of subway route by using 'muui' mobile web 'Seoul Subway Transfer Information' and 'Seoul Subway Safety Guard'. Then, it analyzed the strengths and weaknesses of each function based on the checklist universal principles. The findings investigated by qualitative research were comprehensively analyzed through affinity diagram. In Chapter 5, suggestion for improving user experience, service objectives were drawn based on the above survey, and the screen design of the subway transfer information mobile app that reflects user requirements was proposed. In Chapter 6, conclusion drew the final conclusion and limitations of this study. As a result of the above research, it is meaningful in that the improvement direction of subway transfer information service is suggested comprehensively considering the characteristics of the mobility handicapped who use wheelchairs and mobility assistive devices. Based on the future improvement direction, it is also necessary to evaluate the usability of prototype.;본 연구는 지하철 환승 구간이 점차 복잡해짐에 따라 교통약자들이 용이한 지하철 환승 구간 이동을 보장받지 못하고 있다는 점을 고려해 교통약자를 위한 지하철 환승 안내 모바일 앱 사용자 경험 디자인을 연구 주제로 삼았다. 이에 본 논문은 비장애인뿐만 아니라 지하철을 통한 이동에 불편을 겪고 있는 교통약자를 위해 교통약자들이 더욱 쉽고 빠르게 목적지에 도착할 수 있는 개선 방법을 도출하고, 더욱 나은 사용자 경험(UX)을 제공하는 것을 목적으로 하였다. 본 연구는 총 6장으로 구성되어 있으며 그 내용은 다음과 같다. 1장 서론에서는 본 연구의 배경과 목적을 밝히고 연구의 범위와 연구 방법을 제시하였다. 2장 이론적 배경에서는 본 연구의 주 사용자인 ‘교통약자’의 정의와 특성을 알아보았다. 본 논문의 대상자가 교통약자인 것을 고려하여 ‘유니버설 디자인’의 이론 조사를 진행하였으며 연구 대상이 환승 안내 디지털 애플리케이션인 것을 고려하여 모바일 앱 인터페이스 특징과 길 찾기 원리에 대해 살펴보았다. 3장 사례조사에서는 교통약자를 대상으로 한 장애인협동조합 ‘무의(muui)’의 모바일 웹 ‘서울지하철 환승지도’와 서울교통공사의 애플리케이션 ‘지하철 안전지킴이’를 분석하였다. 두 서비스의 정보 구조 분석과 화면 정의를 통해서 각각의 특징을 분석하고자 하였다. 그 외에 기타 해외사례와 비장애인을 대상으로 한 지하철 환승 안내 모바일 앱을 조사하였다. 4장 사용자조사에서는 현장 조사 장소에서 장애인 지하철 이용객을 관찰 조사 하였으며 역사 내 시설현황을 조사하였다. 주 사용자인 교통약자를 선정하여 사전인터뷰를 진행하고 ‘무의(muui)’의 모바일 웹 ‘서울지하철 환승지도’와 서울교통공사의 애플리케이션 ‘지하철 안전지킴이’를 이용한 지하철 경로 이동과정을 쉐도잉 관찰 하였다. 이후 유니버설 원칙에 의거한 체크리스트를 기반으로 각 기능별 장단점을 분석하였다. 이후 정성 조사를 통하여 조사된 내용을 어피니티 다이어그램을 통하여 종합 분석하였다. 5장 사용자 경험 개선 방안 제안에서는 앞서 조사한 내용을 바탕으로 서비스 목표를 도출하고 사용자 요구사항이 반영된 지하철 환승 안내 모바일 앱의 화면 설계를 제안하였다. 6장 결론에서는 본 연구의 최종 결론과 한계점을 도출하였다. 위와 같은 연구 결과로 휠체어와 이동보조기기를 이용하는 교통약자의 특성을 고려한 지하철 환승 안내 서비스의 개선 방향성을 종합적으로 제시했다는 점에서 의의가 있다고 하겠다. 향후 개선 방향을 근거로 프로토타입에 대한 사용성 평가 또한 보충해야 할 필요성이 있는 것으로 사료된다.
