Abstract

Introduction ▪ Purpose: To develop English communicative skills for seniors at a lifelong education center. ▪ Target learner: 60+ years old (approximately 20 students, mixed gender) ▪ Rationale: TBI and CLT approaches allow learners to expand their use of the English and develop their motivation and positive attitude. ▪Proficiency: Low-Intermediate High (according to ACFL) Method ▪ TBI ▪ CLT Expected Outcomes: ▪ Improve the four language skills (speaking, listening, writing, reading) in general. ▪ Learn vocabulary and grammar in meaningful context. ▪ Develop general cultural knowledge using the English language.
