결합과 해체를 통한 트로피형상 식기디자인 연구

Abstract

현대인들의 삶의 질이 점차 높아지면서 주거공간과 식문화가 다양해졌고 식기 선택 기준 또한 변화하고 있다. 식기는 단순히 음식을 담는 실용적 목적을 넘어 우리들의 미적 욕구를 충족시키고 생활에 긍정적인 요소를 가져다주는 역할도 하게 되었다. 예를 들어 하루를 보았을 때 식기를 사용하는 시간 보다 오히려 보관하고 있는 시간이 더 길다. 그러므로 본 연구자는 식기 보관 시에 미적 요소를 극대화하고 인테리어 장식으로서의 역할을 하도록 디자인 하고자 하였다. 이에 결합과 해체의 원리를 적용한 식기디자인에 관해 조사하였고 그 원리의 확장 가능성을 연구하였다. 특히 이동과 보관에 편리하도록 수직적 결합방식에 중점을 두어 디자인을 전개하였다. 수직적 결합방식의 응용을 통해 식기를 다양한 방식으로 구성할 수 있는 가능성을 제시하여 현대인들의 미적 욕구를 충족시키고자 하는데 그 목적이 있다. 본 연구자는 식기들을 수직적으로 결합하여 트로피모양으로 형상화하는 것에 디자인적 초점을 두었다. 트로피의 곡선과 직선이 균형을 이루는 아름다운 조형성, 사람들의 생활에 승리와 영광과 같은 긍정적인 요소를 제공한다는 점, 그리고 단순한 소비재가 아닌 상징성으로 감상된다는 점 등에 디자인적 의미를 찾았다. 본 논문에서는 결합과 해체를 응용하여 총 6개의 작품을 제작하였고 대량생산이 가능한 캐스팅 방법을 이용하였다. 제작과정을 통해 유의한 점들과 얻은 결론들을 요약하면 다음과 같다. 첫째, 식기의 기본인 실용적 기능을 중요시하였다. 결합과 해체의 원리로 미적요소의 확장을 시도하였지만 식기 본연의 기능성을 잃지 않도록 유의하였다. 둘째, 예술성과 장식성을 고려하여 결합과 해체의 방법을 연구하였다. 셋째, 사용자가 임의로 수직적 결합을 할 수 있게 디자인함으로써 식기의 사용과 보관 시의 즐거움을 확장하였다. 넷째, 이러한 목적을 위하여 제작 시에는 식기의 굽 형태와 직경을 맞추고 형태의 변형을 최소화하고자 몰드에서 소지를 분리하는 시간에 유의하였다. 본 연구자는 결합과 해체의 원리를 이용하여 식기가 용기라는 본질을 벗어나지 않되 현대인의 미적요소 또한 충족하도록 디자인하였다. 트로피형상의 예술성과 식기의 실용성을 동시에 만족하는 디자인을 연구함으로써 현대 도자식기 개발을 시도하고자 하였다.;As the quality of life of modern people is getting better, residential space and food culture have diversified, and the standard of tableware selection is changing. The tableware has also served to meet our aesthetic needs and provide a positive experience in our lives, beyond the practical purpose of simply putting food on the tableware. For example, When you see a day, you have more time to keep the tableware rather than to use it. Therefore, this researcher tried to maximize the aesthetic elements when storing the tableware and to design it to serve as an interior decoration. So, it surveyed the tableware design applying the principle of combination and disassembly and studied potential for expansion while examining the cases of tableware design applying the principle of combination and disassembly. Especially, it was intended to develop the design by focusing on a vertical combination method which is convenient for movement and storage. The purpose of this study is to meet the aesthetic desires of modern people by presenting the possibility of making the tableware in various ways through the application of the vertical combination method. This researcher focused on the design of shaping the tableware as a trophy by combining it vertically. It found a design meaning in that there is a beautiful formativeness that the curve and the straight line of a trophy, it provides positive elements such as victory and glory in people's lives, and is not simple consumer goods, but can be symbolically appreciated. In this paper, six worked were produced by applying the combination and disassembly, and casting methods that can mass-produce were used. The significant points and the conclusions obtained through the production process are summarized as follows. First, It emphasized the practical function, the basics of the tableware. It tried to expand the aesthetic elements by the principle of combination and disassembly, but it was careful not to lose the original functionality of the tableware. Second, it studied the method of combination and disassembly in consideration of artistry and ornamentality. Third, it expanded the pleasure of using and storing the tableware by designing it for users to randomly do the vertical combination. Fourth, for this purpose, this paper paid attention to the time required to separate the substrate from the mold in order to adjust the shape and diameter of the tableware and to minimize the deformation of its shape at the time of production. This researcher designed the tableware to meet the aesthetic elements of the modern people, without leaving the essence of the tableware as a container, by using the principle of combination and disassembly. It tried to develop modern ceramics tableware by studying the sign which satisfies the artistry of trophy shape and the practicality of the tableware at the same time.
