바람의 움직임을 표현한 도자조형 연구

Abstract

본 연구는‘아무도 바람(Wind)자체를 볼 수 없다’는 문장의 호기심에서 시작되었다. 우리는 보이는 것이 전부라 여겨지는 세상 속에 살고 있다. 하지만 그 안에는 보이지 않는 것들이 무수히 존재하며 바람도 이에 속한다. 어떤 누구도 바람(Wind) 자체는 볼 수 없지만 어디에나 존재하고 언제나 느낄 수 있다. 자연현상의 하나인 바람은 육안으로 식별되지 않으나 감각으로 느낄 수 있는 공기의 움직임이다. 바람의 발생원인은 따뜻한 공기가 위로 올라가고 차가운 공기가 그 자리를 메워가는 순환운동의 연속이 바람을 만들어 낸다. 우리가 시각적으로 인지하는 바람의 존재는 바람이 일으키는 다양한 매체들의 움직임을 통해서 이다. 바람이 물을 만나면 파도가 되고, 금속을 만나면 소리가 되고, 나뭇가지를 흔들며, 더위를 식혀준다. 바람을 느낄 수 없는 고요한 날에도 우리 주변 공간을 머물며 흐르고 있다. 연구자에게 바람이 형상화 되는 장면은 자유스럽고 자연스러운 동적인 선들로 인식되었다. 이는 들판의 풀, 흔들리는 나뭇가지의 잎사귀, 꽃잎의 흩날림 들로부터 오는 선 들이다. 자연 속 식물이라는 매개체를 통하여 움직이는 바람의 형상은 무안한 자유로움과 다양함을 느끼게 해주었으며 이를 흙이라는 소재로 표현하고자 한다. 본 연구는 바람이 순환하는 과정에서 생기는 율동성과 방향성에서 그 형상을 찾으려 하였으며 표현 대상의 매개체는 앞서 말한 식물의 이미지로 제한하여 표현하였다. 또한 눈에 보이지 않는 바람을 식물 이라는 매개체를 통하여 도자 조형 안으로 들여오고자 하였다. 정적인 도자작품으로 동적인 바람의 움직임을 표현하는 것이 본 연구의 지향점이다.;This study was started with the curiosity of a sentence 'Nobody can see the wind itself.' We live in the world where what we can see is everything. However, there are numerous invisible things, and the wind is one of them. Nobody can see the wind itself, but everybody can feel its existence everywhere. The wind, which is one of the nature phenomena, is not distinguished with the naked eye, but it is the movement of air felt by the senses. The cause of the wind's occurrence is the succession of circulation in which warm air goes up and cold air takes the spot. We perceive the existence of the wind visually through the movement of various media that the wind causes. When the wind meets water, it becomes waves. When it meets metal, it becomes sounds. It also shakes tree branches and cools off. Even on a still day when the wind is not felt, the wind stays and flows around us. To me, the scenes that the wind is projected were recognized as free and natural dynamic lines. These lines are from grass in the field, shaking leaves of the tree branch and flying petals. The shape of the wind that moves through the media of plants in the nature gave me infinite freedom and diversity, and I intended to express it with the material of soil. This study tried to find the wind's shape through rhythmicity and directional nature that are created in the process of the wind's circulation, and to express the media of the expression objects by limiting the plant images as mentioned above. This study was intended to bring the wind into the ceramic modeling through the media of plants. The intention point of this study is to express the dynamic movement of the wind with static ceramic works.
