자하 하디드 작품에 나타난 연속면의 조형성을 응용한 패션디자인 연구

Abstract

현대사회가 급속하게 변화되면서 인간은 개성과 가치관의 다양화를 추구하게 되었다. 이러한 사회적 환경은 인간의 욕구에 영향을 미치며 삶의 질적 향상을 가져왔다. 예술의 범위가 확장되면서 예술의 각 장르별 경계가 흐려지고 있는데 건축, 회화, 조각, 디자인 등 여러 분야가 융합되어 새로운 가치를 창출하고 있다. 또한 이러한 협업은 디자인분야에서 다른 장르의 특징을 모티프로 응용한 작품을 통해 나타나고 있다. 이에 본 연구에서는 자하 하디드의 건축 및 실내디자인, 산업디자인, 전시구조물 등 다양한 장르에서 나타난 연속면의 조형성을 분석하여 그 구성요소와 원리 및 배열방법을 작품에 응용하고자 하였다. 자하 하디드 작품에 나타난 연속면은 수직축, 수평축 및 사선축의 기하학형태 및 유기적인 형태가 다양하게 나타나며 긴장감과 역동성의 조형적 특성을 지니고 있다. 이를 패션디자인에 도입함에 있어서 자하 하디드 작품에 나타난 딱딱한 소재의 질감을 다양한 두께의 부드러운 패브릭 질감으로 재해석하여 작품에 응용하고, 유기적인 연속면의 특성을 지닌 독특한 질감과 형태를 패션디자인에 표현하고자 하였다. 본 연구의 목적은 자하 하디드 작품의 조형성을 바탕으로 한 연속면의 원리를 활용하여 다양한 방법으로 단면형을 배열함으로써 연속면이 형성하는 독특한 공간감과 양감을 지닌 새로운 패션디자인을 제시함과 동시에 패션디자인의 표현영역을 확대하고자 한다. 본 연구의 내용 및 방법은 다음과 같다. 첫째, 연속면 원리의 정의와 특성에 관하여 알아보고 연속면 원리의 기준을 구성요소와 구성방법으로 나누어 살펴보며 문헌을 통하여 연속면의 조형적 특성에 대해 알아본다. 둘째, 문헌과 웹 문서를 통하여 연속면을 응용한 예술과 디자인 사례를 살펴보고 컬렉션지, 패션 정보 사이트 등을 통해서 현대 패션 디자인에 나타난 연속면 사례를 살펴본다. 셋째, 학위논문 및 단행본, 학술지 등을 통한 문헌 연구를 통해 자하 하디드 작품의 형성 배경과 작품세계에 관하여 알아보고 연속면 원리를 토대로 자하 하디드 작품에 나타난 연속면의 조형성을 분석한다. 이를 토대로 자하 하디드 작품에서 분석한 연속면의 조형성을 구성방법과 다양한 각도에 따른 연속면의 배열방법을 통하여, 단면 형의 확장으로 이루어진 연속면 입체형태를 독창적이고 효과적으로 나타내고자 한다. 연속면의 다양한 배열방법으로 구성한 작품은 총 6벌을 제작, 제시한다. 본 연구를 통해 얻은 결론은 다음과 같다. 첫째, 연속면의 원리는 구성요소와 구성원리에 따라 단면형이 형성되고 배열방법에 따라 연속면의 입체가 형성된다는 주요개념을 토대로 한다. 여기서 배열방법은 수직축 단면, 수평축 단면, 사선축 단면으로 나뉘어 평행배열과 회전배열 안에서 평면적 혹은 입체적으로 배열될 수 있다. 또한 단면형은 직선, 꺾임선, 곡선방향으로 연속배열 될 수 있다. 둘째, 연속면의 원리에 의거하여 자하 하디드 작품에 나타난 연속면을 분석한 결과 기하학적이거나 유기적인 단면형의 주된 사례들을 관찰할 수 있었으며 이러한 단면형의 반복과 점이를 평면적으로 혹은 입체적으로 다양하게 전개한 특성을 찾아볼 수 있었다. 셋째, 자하 하디드의 작품을 형성하고 있는 부드럽고 유연한 곡면의 기하학적 유기적 형태의 다양한 조형미와 연속면 배열 방법에 따라 나타나는 공간감, 양감 등의 조형적 특성을 패션디자인에 응용한 결과 자하 하디드 작품의 연속면 조형성에 의한 독특한 디자인을 창출해 낼 수 있었다. 넷째, 작품의 색채에 있어서 백색을 사용함으로 모노톤의 밝은 색채에 의해 연속되는 면과 면 사이의 공간감, 음영효과에 의한 입체감 및 풍성한 질감의 표현을 극대화할 수 있었다. 다섯째, 자하 하디드의 작품에 나타난 연속면 배열방법을 응용함에 있어서는 반복과 점이의 구성원리를 바탕으로, 촘촘한 간격으로 형성된 연속면은 얇은 원단을 사용하여 치밀한 밀도를 표현했고, 넓은 간격으로 형성된 연속면은 두꺼운 원단을 사용하여 느슨한 밀도로 디자인하여, 소재의 특성 및 연속면 배열의 밀도 변화에 의한 다양한 조형미를 나타내었다. 여섯째, 자하 하디드 작품소재의 조형적 특성을 재해석하여 활용함에 있어서 다양한 두께의 부드러운 패브릭을 사용한 결과 비치는 오간자 원단으로 풍성하면서도 가벼운 이미지와 더불어 양감을 표현할 수 있었고, 네오프렌 원단으로는 연속면의 단면 하나 하나의 형태미와 연속적인 배열의 흐름을 강조할 수 있었다. 본 연구는 연속면의 원리를 응용한 패션디자인의 선행연구가 미미한 가운데, 연속면의 형태와 질감을 응용하여 패션디자인의 표현 영역을 확대하고 패션디자인의 무한한 가능성을 제시하고자 하였다. 또한, 자하 하디드 작품의 조형성을 연속면 원리를 중심으로 분석하였다는데 의의가 있으며, 이를 기반으로 자하 하디드 작품의 연속면 조형성을 패션디자인에 적용한다는 점에서 선행 연구와의 차별성을 가진다.;Human has pursued various personality and values in the rapid change of modern society. This has led to social upheavals affecting human desire, which has blurred the boundary between genres of each art. In other words, architecture, painting, sculpture, design, and other fields are merged to create new value. In the field of design, this collaboration appears as a work applying the features of other genres as motifs. In this study, I will analyze the serial planes of Zaha Hadid in various genres such as architecture, interior space, industrial design, and exhibition structure, based on the principle of serial planes as a basic molding principle. The principle of serial planes can realize a serial plane according to the constituent elements and the arrangement method, and it is possible to express serial solid shape by the arrangement of the sectional shape. Zaha Hadid works create solidity and order in the geometrical form and softness in the organic form in the flexible space. Also, depending on the method of constructing the works, the shape in which the sections are serially arranged varies in direction depending on various angles such as the vertical axis, the horizontal axis, and the diagonal axis, and tensions and dynamics appear. Zaha Hadid works mainly have various plane images depending on the matte and glossy texture. In order to express this in the work, I analyzed the formative nature of her work and tried to apply the shape and texture of the serial planes to fashion design. The purpose of this study is to propose a new fashion design expressing the spatial feeling of the facade forming the serial plane by arranging the serial planes at various angles by utilizing the principle of the serial planes based on the formality of the Zaha Hadid work, In order to enlarge the expression area of the image. The content and method of this study are as follows. First, I study the definition and characteristics of serial plane principle, divide the criteria of serial plane principle into constituent elements and serial method, and study formative characteristics of serial planes through literature. Second, I will examine arts and design cases applying serial planes through literature and web documents, and examine examples of serial planes in modern fashion design through collection magazines and fashion information sites. Third, the background of the Zaha Hadid work and the world of the work are studied through literature studies such as theses, monographs, and journals, and the formability of the serial planes in Zaha Hadid works is analyzed based on the serial planes principle. Based on this, I intend to present the serial form of the serial planes analyzed by Zaha Hadid's work creatively and effectively through the composition method and the arrangement method of the serial plane according to various angles. A total of six pieces of work composed of various arrangements of serial planes are produced and presented. The conclusions of this study are as follows. First, applying a variety of formative features of organic and geometric forms of smooth and flexible curved planes that form the works of Zaha Hadid, and the spatial features, I was able to create a unique design by cotton formability. Second, by using ivory color in the color of the work, it was possible to maximize the expression of the sense of space, the three-dimensional effect by the shadow effect, and the rich texture between the serial plane and the plane due to the bright color of monotone. Third, based on the principle of repetition and dot formation, the serial planes formed at closely spaced intervals represents a dense density by using a thin fabric when applying the serial plane arrangement method shown in the works of Zaha Hadid, Was designed with a loose density using a thick fabric and exhibited various formative characteristics due to the characteristics of the material and the density change of the serial plane arrangement. Fourth, by utilizing the transparency and opacity characteristics of Zaha Hadid's work, I could express the richness with the light image and the light image with the organza fabric. The neoprene fabric consisted of the one - I was able to emphasize the flow. In this study, I propose new possibilities of fashion design by expanding the expression area of fashion design by applying the shape and texture of serial plane while the previous study of fashion design applying the principle of serial plane is very small. In addition, the analysis of the formality of the Zaha Hadid work centered on the serial planes principle, and it is meaningful that the serial formability of the Zaha Hadid work was applied to the fashion design.
