Johannes Brahms Viola Sonata No.2 in E♭Major, Op. 120에 관한 연구

Abstract

본 논문은 브람스 (Johannes Brahms, 1833-1897) 의 Viola Sonata No.2 in E♭Major, Op. 120 작품에 대한 연구이다. 요하네스 브람스 (Johannes Brahms, 1833-1897) 는 신고전주의의 대표적 작곡가이다. 바로크와 고전주의 형식, 음악 기법에 자신만의 음악적인 입장을 고수하면서 자신만의 색깔로 표현하였다. 보수적인 작곡기법의 바탕위에 자신만의 서정적이고 낭만적인 아름다운 감성을 잘 융화시키고 표현한 작곡가이다. 브람스는 일생동안 24곡의 실내악 작품을 작곡했고 4개의 교향곡과 관현악곡 등 많은 작품을 남겼다. Viola Sonata in E♭ Major Op. 120 은 브람스의 두 번째 비올라 소나타이자 마지막 곡이다. 고전적인 형식을 배경으로 자신만의 낭만주의적 요소들이 표현된 곡이다. 이 곡은 3개의 악장으로 구성되어 있는데, 전형적인 소나타 형식 속에 다양한 음악적 특징을 살펴볼 수 있다. 고전주의 양식을 가지고 있으나 낭만주의의 서정적 선율과 음악적 특징이 결합된 작품으로 평가된다. 본 논문은 브람스의 생애와 음악적 어법, 당시의 시대적 배경을 연구함으로써 브람스가 표현하고자 했던 그의 음악관을 살펴보기로 한다. 이 곡의 전 악장을 중심으로 형식, 선율, 화성진행, 리듬형태 등 다양한 각도에서 분석하여, 브람스의 음악적 성향과 작품구조와 형식을 이해하는 것을 목적으로 한다.;This thesis is a study on <Viola Sonata No.2 in E♭Major, Op. 120> by Johannes Brahms (1833-1897). Johannes Brahms (1833-1897) is a representative composer of neoclassicism. In his own color, he expressed his own musical position in Baroque, classical style and music technique. He is a composer who blends the lyrical and romantic beauty in his own way to the characteristics of romantic music while preserving conservative compositional techniques. During his lifetime, Brahms composed 24 pieces of chamber music, 4 symphonies, and many orchestral works. <Viola Sonata in E♭Major Op. 120> is Brahms' second and final viola sonata. It is a song that expresses his own romantic elements in the background of the classical form. Consisting of three movements, various musical features are found in the typical sonata form. Despite its classical style, it is evaluated as a combination of lyrical melody and musical features of romanticism. This thesis examines the life of Brahms, musical language, and the historical backdrop of the times to examine the view of music that Brahms was trying to express. The purpose of this study is to understand Brahms' musical tendency, structure, and form by analyzing all movements through various degrees, such as form, melody, progression of harmony, as well as rhythm shape.
