Program Annotation

Abstract

본 논문은 석사과정 이수를 위한 졸업연주회 프로그램에 대한 연구이다. 본 논문에서는 바흐의 <이 여종의 비천함을 돌보시도다>(Quia respexit), <나의 경건한 마음>(Mein gläubiges Herze), 모차르트의 《위대한 영혼과 고상한 마음》(Alma grande e nobil core k.578), 오브라도스의 《7개의 스페인 고전 가곡》(Canciones Clásicas Españolas), 퀼터의 《세 개의 셰익스피어 노래》(Three Shakespeare Songs op.6) 등 작품을 연구 대상으로 한다. 바흐(Johann Sebastian Bach,1685-1750)는 바로크 시대를 대표하는 작곡가로, 많은 교회 성악작품과 칸타타를 작곡하였다. 칸타타 《이처럼 하나님은 세상을 사랑하셨도다》(Also hat Gott die Welt geliebt, BWV 68)는 바흐가 성령강림 둘째 주를 위하여 작곡한 칸타타로 요한복음과 사도행전의 내용으로 되어 있으며 총 5곡으로 구성되어 있다. 그 중 두 번째 곡 <나의 경건한 마음>(Mein gläubiges Herze)은 소프라노 아리아로 하나님께서 부활하여 기뻐하는 마음을 표현하였으며 많은 도약과 긴 멜리스마(melisma)로 구성되어 있다. 《마그니피카트》(Magnificat BWV 243)에 나오는 아리아 <이 여종의 비천함을 돌보시도다>(Quia respexit)는 마리아가 하나님께 드리는 기도문으로, 바흐는 가사에 나오는 중요한 단어에 가사그리기 기법과 멜리스마 기법을 추가하여 표현하였다. 또한 바흐는 단어들의 대조적인 의미에 맞게 붙여진 선율을 상행 진행과 하행 진행함으로써 마리아의 마음을 강조하여 표현하였다. 고전주의 음악의 대표적인 작곡가 모차르트(Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, 1756- 1791)는 57곡의 콘체르토 아리아를 작곡하였으며 《위대한 영혼과 고상한 마음》(Alma grande e nobil core, k.578)은 모차르트가 1789년 소프라노 루이스 빌네브(Louise Villeneuve)를 위하여 작곡한 세 곡 중 두 번째 곡이다. 이 곡의 성악성부에는 기악적인 부분이 많이 나타나며 음정의 도약과 멜리스마(melisma) 기법이 추가되어 있다. 또한 강박에 위치에 강세가 있는 단어를 배치함으로써 가사를 강조하여 극적인 분위기로 표현하였다. 오브라도스(Fernando J. Obradors, 1897-1945)는 20세기의 스페인 민족주의 작곡가로, 그의 작품《7개의 스페인 고전 가곡》(Canciones Clásicas Españolas)에서는 스페인의 춤곡 리듬, 화려한 성악선율과 역동적인 반주의 특징을 찾아볼 수 있다. 곡 중 플라멩코(Flamenco)를 연상시키는 즉흥적인 멜리스마, 리타르단도, 아첼레란도, 늘임표 등 음악적 표현들을 통하여 스페인의 열정적이고 화려한 음악특징을 느낄 수 있다. 퀼터(Roger Quilter, 1877-1953)는 20세기에 활동한 영국 작곡가로, 뛰어난 감각과 지성을 시 선택에 적용하여 112곡의 서정적인 가곡들을 작곡하였다. 《세 개의 셰익스피어 노래》(Three Shakespeare Songs, op.6) 는 퀼터가 셰익스피어의 시에 곡을 붙인 초기 작품으로 총 세 곡으로 구성되어 있으며 모두 유절형식으로 되어있다. 세 곡 모두 시의 운율과 강세를 살리는 방식과 어미의 동일한 발음을 긴 음표로 표현하는 방식으로 통일성을 보여주었으며, 사랑에 대한 고통과 설레임, 배반의 아픔을 이긴 현재 삶의 즐거움을 주제로 하는 시와 음악을 완벽하게 일치시켰다. ;This thesis studied the graduation recital for the completion of Master’s degree. This thesis, investigated Bach’s soprano aria <Quia respexit> and <Mein gläubiges Herze>, Mozart’s concerto aria 〈Alma grande e nobil core k.578〉, Obradors’《Canciones Clásicas Españolas》and Quilter’s《Three Shakespeare Songs op.6》. Johann Sebastian Bach(1685-1750) is a famous composer representing the baroque period, composing many church songs and cantatas. Bach’s 《Also hat Gott die Welt geliebt, BWV 68》is the cantata with five songs for the second week of Pentecost. It is based on the Gospel of John and the Act of the Apostles. The second song, <Mein gläubiges Herze> is soprano aria, expressing his gladness of Jesus’ resurrection and the song has many leaps and long melisma. The aria, <Quia respexit> from《Magnificat BWV 243》is a prayer to praise God. J. S. Bach used word painting and melisma to the important words in the lyric. He emphasized emotion of Maria, using ascending and descending melodies which describe contrasting words. Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart(1756-1791), an eminent composer in the Classical period, composed 57 concerto arias and 《Alma grande e nobil core k.578》is the second song among the three songs which Mozart composed for soprano Louise Villeneuve in 1789. The song has interval leaps and melisma as well as many instrumental music parts in vocal part. Mozart tended to use grace notes in concerto arias. Mozart also placed accented words on the strong beats to create dramatic moment Fernando J. Obradors(1897-1945) is a Spanish Nationalist composer. The characteristics of《Canciones Clásicas Españolas》are the rhythm of Spanish dance music, diverse vocal melody and dynamic accompaniment. In addition, he used, in accompaniment, impromptu melisma, ritardando, accelerando and fermata, which remind Flamenco, allowing us to feel Spanish music with passion and opulence. Roger Quilter(1877-1953) is a composer in the 20th century. He composed 112 beautiful songs, using great sense and intelligence. <Three Shakespeare Songs op.6> is an early work of Roger Quilter. It comprises three songs which are settings of poem by Shakespeare and it is in strophic form. It also follows rhyme and accent of poem and uses long note on the suffixes ending in the same pronunciation. This work combines poem and music that describe love, betrayal, and joy of life.
