R. Strauss의 가곡 <Mädchenblumen(소녀의 꽃)> Op.22에 관한 작품분석 및 연구

Abstract

리하르트 슈트라우스(Richard Strauss, 1864-1949)는 19세기 말과 20세기에 걸쳐 활동한 독일의 작곡가이며 후기 낭만주의 음악의 대가로 손꼽힌다. 슈트라우스의 교향시와 오페라는 음악사에서 매우 중요한 위치를 차지하고 있으며 그의 200 여개의 가곡 또한 슈트라우스의 음악양식을 이해하는데 매우 중요한 장르라 할 수 있다. 본 논문의 연구 대상인 <Mädchenblumen(소녀의 꽃)> Op.22는 슈트라우스의 초 기 예술가곡에 속하며 전체 4곡으로 구성된 연가곡이다. 시인 펠릭스 단(Felix Dahn, 1834-1912)의 시를 가지고 작곡되었고, 제 1곡 Kornblumen(수레국화), 제 2곡 Mohnblumen(양귀비꽃), 제 3곡 Epheu(담쟁이 덩굴), 제 4곡 Wasserrose(수련) 으로 구성되어 있다. 4가지 꽃을 각각 소녀에 의인화시켜서 회화적인 꽃의 이미 지와 소녀에 비유된 음악적 표현이 잘 어우러져 있다. 이는 독일 예술가곡의 특 징인 시와 음악의 밀접한 관계를 잘 나타낸 것이다. <Mädchenblumen(소녀의 꽃)> Op.22의 부드러운 서정성과 열정적인 감성을 비롯 하여 반음계적인 멜로디와 낭송적인 선율 등의 특징을 이해하기 위해서 가사와 피아노와의 관계를 중심으로 형식, 리듬, 화성 등을 분석하였다.;Richard Strauss (1864-1949) is a German composer from the late nineteenth century to twentieth century. He is widely known as the most outstanding maestro in the late Romanticism. The Straussian symphonic poem and lied hold a key position in the music history. More than 200 lieder are the most important works that provide Strauss's musical style. The main subject of this thesis, <Mädchenblumen> Op.22 is the early work of Strauss's lied and includes four songs. <Mädchenblumen> was written based on the poem of Felix Dahn (1834-1912) and comprised four flowers of Kornblumen, Mohnblumen, Epheu, and Wasserrose that were incorporated into pictorial floral image and purity of girl. Four flowers implied the convergence of poem and music. The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationships among structure, rhythm, and harmony by understanding lyricism, melody, and recitation of the text.
