초기 부모애착과 낭만애착이 대학생의 결혼가치관에 미치는 영향

Abstract

본 연구의 목적은 초기 부모애착이 대학생의 결혼가치관에 미치는 직접적 영향과 낭만애착을 통해 결혼가치관에 미치는 간접적 영향을 살펴보는 것이다. 연구대상은 서울 및 수도권 소재 대학에 재학 중인 대학생 중 현재 이성교제 중이거나 최근 2년 내에 이성교제 경험이 있는 458명(남학생 202명, 여학생 256명)으로 질문지법을 이용한 자기보고를 통해 자료를 수집하였다. 초기 부모애착은 Armsden과 Greenberg(1987)가 개발한 부모 및 또래 애착척도 개정본(Inventory of Parent and Peer Attachment-Revised; IPPA-R)을 옥정(1998)이 번안, 수정한 척도 중, 부모애착 척도 25문항을 사용하여 측정하였다. 낭만애착은 Brennan, Clark, Shaver(1998)가 개발한 친밀한 관계에서의 경험 척도(Experiences in Close Relationships Questionnaire: ECR)의 개정판인 Fraley, Waller & Brennan(2000)의 ECR-R(Experiences in Close Relationships-revised; ECR-R)을 김성현(2004)이 번안하고 타당화한 것을 사용하였다. 대학생의 결혼가치관을 측정하기 위해 김혜영과 선보영(2010)이 제작한 ‘미혼여성들의 결혼 및 가족의식 조사’ 문항을 이보람(2012)이 재구성한 것을 사용하였다. 수집된 자료는 기술통계 분석을 실시하였고 현재 이성교제 여부를 통제한 후 변인들의 편상관분석과 경로분석을 실시하였다. 본 연구의 주요 결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 첫째, 부애착과 모애착은 각각 대학생의 안정-낭만적 결혼가치관과 보수-도구적 결혼가치관에 정적인 영향을 미쳤다. 소극-배타적 결혼가치관의 경우 모애착은 소극-배타적 결혼가치관에 부적인 영향을 미쳤으나, 부애착은 유의한 영향을 미치지 않았다. 둘째, 부애착과 모애착이 불안애착을 통해서 소극-배타적 결혼가치관과 보수-도구적 결혼가치관에 미치는 간접경로는 유의하였지만 안정-낭만적 결혼가치관에 미치는 간접경로는 유의하지 않았다. 부애착과 모애착은 불안애착에 각각 부적인 영향을 미쳤고, 불안애착은 소극-배타적 결혼가치관과 보수-도구적 결혼가치관에 정적 영향을 미쳤다. 셋째, 부애착과 모애착이 회피애착을 통해서 결혼가치관에 미치는 간접경로는 안정-낭만적, 소극-배타적, 보수-도구적 결혼가치관 모두 유의하였다. 부애착과 모애착은 각각 회피애착에 부적인 영향을 미쳤고, 회피애착은 안정-낭만적 결혼가치관과 보수-도구적 결혼가치관에는 부적 영향을, 소극-배타적 결혼가치관에는 정적 영향을 미쳤다. 종합해보면, 부애착은 안정-낭만적 결혼가치관과 보수-도구적 결혼가치관에 직접적인 영향을 미쳤으나 소극-배타적 결혼가치관에는 직접적인 영향을 미치지 않았다. 모애착은 안정-낭만적, 소극-배타적, 보수-도구적 결혼가치관에 직접적인 영향을 미쳤다. 또한 부애착과 모애착은 불안애착을 통해 소극-배타적 결혼가치관과 보수-도구적 결혼가치관에 영향을 미쳤으나 안정-낭만적 결혼가치관에는 불안애착의 간접적인 영향이 나타나지 않았다. 마지막으로 부애착과 모애착은 회피애착을 통해 안정-낭만적, 소극-배타적, 보수-도구적 결혼가치관에 간접적인 영향을 미쳤다. 본 연구는 초기 부모애착이 낭만애착을 통해 대학생의 결혼가치관에 영향을 미치는 경로를 확인하였다. 특히 결혼가치관 유형을 안정-낭만적, 소극-배타적, 보수-도구적 3가지로 나누어서 초기 부모애착이 낭만애착을 통해 다양한 유형의 결혼가치관에 미치는 영향에는 어떠한 차이가 있는지 밝혀냈다는 점에서 의의가 있다. 본 연구결과는 대학생이 결혼가치관을 형성하는 데에는 초기 부모애착과 낭만애착이 영향을 주는 변인이라는 것에 대한 이해를 바탕으로 대학생을 대상으로 결혼과 관련된 교양강좌나 예비 부모교육 프로그램 등을 개발하는 데에 기초자료를 제공할 수 있다.;The purpose of the study is to examine the direct effects of parental attachment in early childhood on college students' marital values and indirect effects through romantic attachment. A total of 458 college students responded to questionnaires regarding parental attachment, romantic attachment, and marital values. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, correlation, and path analyses through SPSS 21.0 and SPSS MACRO PROCESS v2.16.3. The main results of this study were as follows: First, father attachment and mother attachment had direct effects on stable-romantic marital values and conservative-instrumental marital values. For passive-exclusive marital values, only mother attachment had a direct effect on passive-exclusive marital values. Second, father attachment and mother attachment had indirect effects on passive-exclusive marital values and conservative-instrumental marital values through anxiety attachment but did not have an indirect effect on stable-romantic marital values. Third, father attachment and mother attachment had indirect effects on stable-romantic marital values, passive-exclusive marital values and conservative-instrumental marital values. In conclusion, this study provided the process that parental attachment in early childhood directly influenced college students' marital values and indirectly influenced through romantic attachment. These finding suggest that both parental attachment and romantic attachment need to be considered together to explain college students' marital values. Further, these findings have implications for future research and offer the foundation in developing college courses related to marriage and pre-parenting education programs for college students.
