기독교 유아교사를 위한 영성교육 프로그램 개발

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to develop a spiritual educational program for Christian early childhood teachers, which enables them to live a wholistic life that integrates faith with life as well as theory with practice, by developing positive identities based on Christian spirituality and by establishing healthy relationships with God and neighbors. The research questions with regard to the purpose of this research are as follows. 1. Design a spiritual educational program for Christian early childhood teachers based on the previous research studies, literature reviews and a demand survey. 2. Apply and evaluate the designed spiritual educational program for Christian early childhood teachers. 3. Develop a final plan for a spiritual educational program for Christian early childhood teachers. The development of a spiritual educational program for Christian early childhood teachers has undergone a various process: the previous research studies, literature reviews, a demand survey, program organization, program execution and evaluation, and the final development of the program. The results of the program development process are as follows. First, previous research studies and literature reviews were conducted on the topic of Christian spirituality, Christian spirituality education, and Christian spiritual education for early childhood teachers in order to develop a spiritual education program(plan) for Christian early childhood teachers. Demand survey questionnaires were distributed to 251 current Christian early childhood teachers in early childhood education centers located in Seoul and Gyeonggi provinces, and 202 answers were used for the result analysis. Second, a spiritual educational program(plan) for Christian early childhood teachers was designed by selecting and organizing the purpose, goals, contents, teaching methods and operation methods of the program, based on the previous research studies, literature reviews, and the demand survey results. The program(plan) was reviewed by five experts. Third, in order to examine the appropriateness of the spiritual education program(plan) for Christian early childhood teachers, the program(plan) was applied to 12 Christian early childhood teachers who work in infant educational institutions located in K district of Seoul. The program, consisting of group education and individual education, was carried out for four weeks from mid-October, 2017, and took 21 hours and 10 minutes in total. The program evaluation was conducted through an awareness survey before/after the program participation, weekly evaluation, individual meditation journal, program satisfaction survey, and group interview. Based on the results of evaluation analysis, and through revision and supplementation of the first draft, the study developed a final draft of the program for Christian early childhood teachers. The final draft of the spiritual educational program for Christian early childhood teachers is as follows. The purpose of the program is for Christian early childhood teachers to unite with God through spiritual restoration. This is specifically described as ‘enjoying the joy of being with God in the real life(workplace) of a Christian early childhood teacher'. The goals of the program are the restoration of relationship with God, the restoration of relationship with oneself, and the restoration of relationship with neighbors, and the detailed goals, educational themes, and educational contents were selected and organized based on these three goals. The educational theme of ‘restoration of relationship with God' consists of an understanding of Christian spirituality, the God-centered life, and the worshiping life. Regarding the goal of ’restoration of relationship with oneself', it selected the biblical self-image and healthy emotions. For‘restoration of relationship with neighbors’, it chose subjects such as love for neighbors in God, formation of healthy relationship, work spirituality, and a sense of calling of early childhood teachers. Teaching and learning methods are divided into community activities and individual activities. Among community activities, lectures and worship are performed in large groups while theme sharing, discussion, and workshops are performed in small groups. Individual activities provide a time of individual devotion(Q.T), which offers appropriate materials for each topic. The spiritual educational program for Christian early childhood teachers is designed to run for 5 weeks, for 20 to 22 hours in total. The community education is provided once a week for 150-180 minutes, while the individual education is provided five times a week for 30 minutes each. The educator of the program is expected to have practical experience, which integrates the Christian world view with the actual field of early childhood education and the expertise of relevant subjects. The educational environment is encouraged to be shaped in consideration of the teachers’ multi-sensory stimuli and to provide a warm and receptive atmosphere where hospitality can be experienced. The spiritual educational program for Christian early childhood teachers is to provide a way for the teachers to recognize their own existence in a new way, to walk with God in their workplace, and to establish positive relationships with students, fellow teachers, parents and the natural world, based on their relationship with God. Through the restoration of Christian spirituality, it is expected that Christian early childhood teachers will restore their sense of calling, have a positive impact on young children who are situated at a critical stage in human development, and begin a genuine wholistic education that respects life.;본 연구의 목적은 기독교 유아교사가 유아교육현장에서 기독교 영성을 바탕으로 올바른 정체성을 가지고, 하나님과 이웃과의 관계를 정립하여 신앙과 삶, 이론과 실천이 하나 되는 통전적인 삶을 살아가도록 돕기 위해 영성교육 프로그램을 개발하는 것이다. 이러한 연구 목적에 따른 연구 내용은 다음과 같다. 1. 선행연구와 문헌고찰, 요구조사를 바탕으로 기독교 유아교사 영성교육 프로그램(안)을 구성한다. 2. 기독교 유아교사 영성교육 프로그램(안)을 적용하고 평가한다. 3. 기독교 유아교사 영성교육 프로그램 최종안을 도출한다. 기독교 유아교사를 위한 영성교육 프로그램 개발은 선행연구 및 문헌고찰, 요구조사, 프로그램(안) 구성, 프로그램 실행 및 평가, 프로그램 최종 개발의 절차를 거쳤다. 프로그램 개발 과정과 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 기독교 유아교사를 위한 영성교육 프로그램(안)을 구성하기 위해 기독교 영성, 기독교 영성교육, 기독교 유아교사를 위한 영성교육에 관한 선행연구와 문헌을 고찰하고, 현직 기독교 유아교사를 대상으로 요구조사를 실시하였다. 요구조사 질문지는 서울, 경기 지역의 유아교육기관에서 근무하고 있는 기독교 유아교사 251명에게 배부하였고, 202부를 결과분석에 사용하였다. 둘째, 선행연구 및 문헌고찰과 요구조사 결과를 바탕으로 기독교 유아교사 영성교육 프로그램의 목적 및 목표, 내용, 교수방법, 운영방법을 선정, 조직하여 기독교 유아교사 영성교육 프로그램(안)을 구성하였고, 전문가 5인의 검토를 받았다. 셋째, 기독교 유아교사 영성교육 프로그램(안)의 적절성을 알아보기 위해 서울시 K구 인근 지역의 유아교육기관에서 근무하는 기독교 유아교사 12명을 대상으로 프로그램(안)을 적용하였다. 프로그램은 2017년 10월 중순부터 4주 동안 전체교육과 개별교육으로 나누어 진행하였으며, 총 21시간 10분이 소요되었다. 프로그램평가는 프로그램 참여 전, 후의 인식조사, 주별 평가, 개별묵상저널, 프로그램 만족도 조사, 집단면담을 통해 실시하였다. 평가 결과를 토대로 프로그램(안)을 수정 보완하여 기독교 유아교사를 위한 최종 프로그램을 개발하였다. 개발된 기독교 유아교사 영성교육 프로그램 최종안은 다음과 같다. 프로그램의 목적은 기독교 유아교사들이 영성을 회복하여 하나님과 연합하는 것이다. 이를 구체적으로 기술하면 ‘기독교 유아교사의 삶(일터)에서 하나님과 함께 하는 기쁨 누리기’이다. 프로그램의 목표는 하나님과의 관계회복, 자신과의 관계회복, 이웃과의 관계회복이며, 3가지 목표를 기준으로 세부목표와 교육주제, 교육내용을 선정하고 조직하였다. ‘하나님과의 관계회복’ 목표에 대한 교육주제는 기독교 영성이해, 하나님 중심의 삶, 예배하는 삶이다. ‘자신과의 관계회복’ 목표에 대해서는 성경적인 자아상, 건강한 정서를 주제로 선정하였다. ‘이웃과의 관계회복’을 위해서는 하나님 사랑 이웃사랑, 건강한 관계형성, 일터영성, 유아교사의 소명을 주제로 선정하였다. 교수학습방법은 크게 공동체 활동과 개별활동으로 나뉘며, 공동체 활동에서 강의, 예배는 대그룹으로, 주제별 나눔, 토의, 워크샵은 소그룹으로 진행한다. 개별활동은 개별 경건의 시간(Q.T)을 갖는 것으로, 각 주제에 맞는 자료를 제작하여 제공한다. 기독교 유아교사 영성교육 프로그램은 5주간 총 20～22시간으로 운영하며, 주 1회 전체교육을 150분～180분씩, 주 5회 개별교육을 30분씩 진행한다. 프로그램의 교육자는 기독교세계관과 유아교육 현장, 해당 주제에 대한 전문지식을 접목하는 실천적 경험을 가진 자로 한다. 교육 환경은 교사들의 다감각적 자극을 고려하여 구성하며, 따뜻하고 수용적인 분위기에서 환대를 경험할 수 있도록 한다. 기독교 유아교사를 위한 영성교육 프로그램은 기독교 유아교사들이 자신의 존재를 새롭게 인식하고 일터에서도 하나님과 동행하며, 하나님과의 관계를 바탕으로 유아, 동료교사, 학부모, 자연세계와의 관계를 잘 맺어가기 위한 것이다. 기독교 영성회복을 통해 기독교 유아교사들이 소명의식을 회복하고 인간발달의 결정적 시기를 보내는 유아들에게 긍정적인 영향을 미치며, 생명을 존중하는 진정한 전인교육을 시작할 수 있기를 기대한다.
