- Introduction
☐ Purpose: To develop reading and wring skills for students in a private educational institute after-school program.
☐ Target learners: Small group of elementary 6th grade students (approximately 10 students); mixed gender
☐ Rationale: Scientific activities and non-fiction intensive Reading allow EFL learners to expand their use of the English language and build critical thinking skills
☐ Proficiency: Intermediate Low-Intermediate High (according to ACTFL)

Expected Outcomes
Students will….
➢ Improve the four language skills (Speaking, Reading, Writing, and Listening) in general
➢ Improve their reading and writing skills to summarize and organize their thought in written form through information report and explanation genre text types
➢ Build critical thinking skills.
➢ Develop general cultural knowledge using the English language
