Purpose: To raise learner’s awareness of reading for pleasure
Rationale: Extensive reading activities allow leaners to develop their reading habits, motivation, positive attitude toward reading
Target learner: Small group of middle school students (approximately 15); mixed gender
Proficiency: Intermediate High according to ACTFL

Integrated Extensive and Intensive Reading
Task-Based Language Teaching (TBLT)
Communicative Language Teaching (CLT)
[Expected outcomes]
Students will read a lot and read quickly
Students will read books for their pleasure
Students will improve four language skills in general (listening, reading, speaking, writing)
Students will reflect their critical thinking in writing and speaking
