기능성 향상을 위한 경찰 우의 개발

Abstract

The purpose of the study was to investigate the problems of current police raincoat and to suggest a police raincoat improved in pleasantness and work efficiency. Interview and survey were done targeting public policemen and conscripted policemen, in order to understand the wearing conditions and satisfaction of the current police raincoat. 457 responds of the survey were used to analyze demographic information, inconvenience and design preference. Interview were conducted to figure out further dissatisfaction factors. Due to the results of the survey analysis, the study developed a new raincoat with improvement in dissatisfaction factors by planning design, pattern and the functionality of the fabric. The developed raincoat was evaluated and compared with the current raincoat. The evaluation on wearing comfort was constructed with appearance evaluation by experts, wearing test by policemen and visual field test of the hood. Through the evaluation, the study verified the suitability of the developed police raincoat and suggested a functionally advanced police raincoat. The detailed results of the study is as follows. 1. The results of survey on the wearing conditions of current police raincoat. The result of the survey on the wearing conditions of current police raincoat showed that the average age of the respondent was 29.9 and the twenties had the highest frequency(59.5%). The most frequent duty of the respondents appeared to be the community police(49.2%) and was followed by the conscripted police, traffic police and police squad. Most of the policemen responded to wear medium size(51.4%) and large size(41.7%), and not much respondents appeared to wear small or extra large size. As for the wearing frequency, 35.2% answered to have low frequency on wearing police raincoat mostly because of the uncomfortableness of working(41.2%). Community police had a significantly low frequency on wearing the raincoat compared to traffic police, conscripted police and police squad while 86.9% of the respondents, however, answered to feel the necessity of the raincoat. The satisfaction on body parts during motions by raincoat size tended to be evaluated lower grades as the size got larger and the result of the dimensional compatibility by raincoat size showed that the respondents wearing small size tend to feel the raincoat big, while the respondents wearing large size tend to feel it small. Also, the respondents appeared to have less satisfaction on body parts during motions as they get heavier. As results of the dissatisfaction factors the raincoat hood had the most problems and there was inconvenience in using the equipment belt, as the officers have to wear their belts inside the raincoat. Fabric satisfaction showed low grades on ventilation, hygroscopicity, and quick drying. As for the design of the raincoat, the most preferred design appeared to be front closure with zipper and velcro, cuffs with elastic band and velcro and patched flap pocket. 72.1% of the respondents answered that they need a pocket on their raincoat pants, and for further improvements, a pocket for a walkie-talkie was needed. 2. Design of the test apparel The main fabric of the sample police raincoat was composed of 100% polyester with waterproof and moisture permeable laminating, performing better moisture permeability than the current raincoat. Glass bead type retro reflection tape was used instead of the micro-prism type which is used in current raincoat. The size of the sample was modified to improve the dissatisfaction factors from the survey result. Darts were inserted at elbows and knees as bicep and thigh girth was reduced, in order to make movements convenient. The sleeves of the sample were changed to raglan sleeves and the hood was designed to be enable to adjust the size through velcro and strings. To improve air permeability, pit-zip was inserted under the armpit and a zipper was inserted at sideline of the jacket in order to improve efficiency on using the equipment belt. The pants were designed to wear and take off easily by opening sideline through zipper and snaps. A walkie-talkie pocket was added at upper right part of the jacket and an additional retro-reflection tape was attached near the jacket cuffs to increase the visibility of the wearer at night. 3. Evaluation on wearing comfort The Assessment of the developed raincoat was composed of the appearance evaluation by expert group, wearing comfort evaluation by policemen and visual field test of the hood. As a result of the appearance evaluation by expert group, most of the sections showed significantly higher grades on the developed police raincoat, except chest girth, sleeve length, waist and cuffs girth of pants. Wearing comfort evaluation by policemen was composed of wearing test and motional adaptability evaluation. As for the wearing test most of the sections, except dressing‧undressing convenience and adjustment convenience on pants cuffs, were graded higher than 4.00. The developed police raincoat appeared to be more positive than current police raincoat on every section with significant difference. Through visual field test of hood, subjects evaluated the sight range while wearing the hood and wether the hood disturbs the view when turning their head. The assessment grade for all sections of the hood showed to be higher than the current police raincoat hood, which proved the developed raincoat is more suitable for the task.;본 연구의 목적은 현직 경찰공무원과 의무경찰을 대상으로 인터뷰와 설문조사를 실시하여 경찰 우의의 전반적인 착의실태와 불편사항을 파악하고 조사결과를 토대로 쾌적성 및 업무 효율성이 향상된 경찰 우의를 제안하는데 있다. 현행 경찰 우의의 착의실태와 만족도를 파악하기 위하여 서울에서 근무하는 남성 경찰공무원과 복무중인 의무경찰을 중심으로 설문조사를 실시하였으며 회수된 설문지 중 457부를 분석에 사용하였다. 이를 통하여 경찰 우의에 관한 일반적 사항과 불편부위, 개선사항, 디자인 선호도를 파악하였으며 인터뷰를 통하여 보다 구체적인 불만족사항을 조사하였다. 설문조사 분석 결과에 따라 현행 경찰 우의의 문제점과 불만족사항을 개선하여 디자인과 패턴, 소재의 기능성이 향상된 경찰 우의를 개발하였다. 개발된 경찰 우의와 현행 경찰 우의의 비교를 위하여 착의평가를 실시하였으며, 설문조사 결과 착용자의 만족도가 가장 낮았던 대 사이즈 우의를 제작하여 평가하였다. 착의평가는 전문가 집단의 외관평가와 경찰공무원의 동작적응성 및 활동적합성평가, 후드 시야 평가로 이루어졌으며 이를 통하여 개발된 경찰 우의의 적합성을 검증하고 기능성이 향상된 경찰 우의를 제안하였다. 1. 현행 경찰 우의 착의실태 조사결과 현행 경찰 우의의 착의실태에 대한 설문조사 결과, 조사대상자의 평균 연령은 29.9세였으며 20대가 59.5%로 가장 많았다. 직무에 대한 조사 결과 응답자의 직무는 지구대‧파출소 경찰이 49.2%로 가장 많았으며 그 다음으로는 의무경찰과 교통경찰, 기동대의 순서로 나타났다. 착용하는 우의의 사이즈는 중 사이즈가 51.4%, 대 사이즈가 41.7%로 대부분을 차지하였으며 소와 특대 사이즈를 착용하는 사람은 많지 않았다. 우의의 착용빈도를 조사한 결과 응답자의 32.5%가 착용빈도가 낮다고 하였으며 그 이유로는 우의 착용 시 활동이 불편하다는 응답이 41.2%로 가장 많았다. 직무에 따른 착용빈도 조사 결과 지구대‧파출소 경찰이 교통경찰, 의무경찰, 기동대에 비하여 유의하게 낮았으나 대부분의 응답자(86.9%)가 우의의 필요성에 대하여서는 필요하다고 느끼는 것으로 나타났다. 사이즈에 따른 동작별 신체 만족도에 대한 조사 결과 대 사이즈 착용자가 소 또는 중 사이즈 착용자에 비하여 만족도가 낮은 경향이 있었으며 치수적합성에 대한 조사 결과 소 사이즈 착용자의 경우 대부분의 항목에서 우의의 치수를 크게 느낀 반면 대 사이즈 착용자는 많은 항목에서 작게 느끼는 것을 알 수 있었다. 체중에 대한 동작별 신체 만족도 조사 결과에서도 체중이 많이 나갈수록 만족도가 낮아졌으며 신장에 따른 치수적합성 조사결과 신장이 비교적 작은 집단의 착용자는 우의를 길게, 큰 집단의 착용자는 우의를 짧게 느껴 불편이 있는 것으로 나타났다. 현행우의의 불편사항에 대한 조사 결과 후드와 관련한 모든 문항과 외근혁대의 사용 편의성에 관한 문항에서 낮은 만족도를 보였으며 소재와 관련한 불편사항으로는 통풍과 땀 흡수, 건조의 문제가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 우의의 디자인은 지퍼와 벨크로를 사용한 여밈, 고무줄과 벨크로가 있는 소매단과 바짓단, 패치 형태의 플랩포켓을 선호하였으며 하의에 주머니가 필요하다는 응답이 72.1%로 높게 나타났다. 기타 개선사항으로는 무전기 주머니가 필요하다는 응답이 가장 많았다. 2. 실험복 설계 실험복의 소재는 폴리에스테르 100%로 기존복에 비하여 투습도가 향상된 투습방수 기능성 라미네이팅 원단을 사용하였으며 유리구슬을 접착시킨 열전사 형식의 반사테이프를 사용하였다. 실험복의 패턴은 사이즈에 따른 불만족도를 반영하여 치수를 수정하였으며 소매통과 바지통을 줄이고 다트를 넣어 동작에 불편이 없도록 하였다. 소매의 형태는 래글런 소매를 채택하였으며 후드의 경우 스트링과 벨크로를 이용하여 크기를 조절할 수 있도록 하였다. 겨드랑이 부위의 핏집(Pit-zip)을 통하여 통기성을 개선하였으며 상의 옆선에 지퍼를 설계하여 우의 착용 후 외근혁대의 사용이 편리하도록 하였다. 하의의 경우 옆선 허리 부위의 스냅과 지퍼를 통하여 착·탈의가 용이하도록 개선하였으며 상의의 오른쪽 가슴부위에 무전기주머니를 설계하여 우의 착용 시에도 무전기의 사용이 용이하도록 하였다. 또한 소매단 부위에 반사테이프를 추가로 적용하여 야간의 가시성을 향상시켰다. 3. 착의평가 착의평가는 전문가집단 외관평가와 피험자 착의평가, 후드 시야 평가로 나누어 실시하였다. 전문가집단의 외관평가 결과 상의의 가슴둘레의 맞음새에 대한 문항과 하의의 허리둘레, 하의 밑단 둘레에 대한 문항을 제외하고 모든 항목에서 유의한 차이가 있었으며 상의 소매길이를 제외한 모든 항목에서 실험복이 기존복에 비하여 긍정적인 평가를 받은 것으로 나타났다. 피험자 착의평가 문항은 활동적합성과 동작적응성에 관한 문항으로 구성하였으며 활동적합성 평가결과 상‧하의의 신속한 탈·착의가 용이하다, 바짓단 조절이 용이하다는 문항을 제외한 모든 문항에서 4.00 이상의 높은 평가를 받았으며 유의차가 있는 모든 문항에 대하여 실험복이 기존복에 비하여 긍정적인 평가를 받아 실험복이 기존복에 비하여 경찰업무에 보다 적합한 것으로 나타났다. 후드 시야 평가는 후드 착용 시 시야 범위와 업무 시 후드의 시야 방해에 관한 항목으로 구성되었으며 모든 항목에서 실험복의 후드가 기존복 후드에 비하여 우수한 것으로 나타나 후드 설계의 적합성이 검증되었다.
