Structural Equation Modeling for analyzing Internet / Smartphone addiction of Korean adolescents

Abstract

구조방정식(SEM)은 실험적인 연구가 어렵거나 불가능한 경우에 선행된 이론적 배경을 바탕으로 사회 현상을 설명하는 통계적 방법이다. 또한 구조방정식을 통해 변수 간의 관계를 밝힌 구조를 시각화 할 수 있다. 본 논문에서 구조방정식 적합을 위해 프로그램 R의 ‘lavaan’ package를 사용하여 인터넷 중독에 대한 선행 연구를 바탕으로 인터넷 중독과 스마트폰 중독에 영향을 미치는 요인들을 파악하여 이를 설명하는 구조방정식 모형을 적합하였다.;Structural equation modeling (SEM) is a statistical method that clarify the relationship between variables. When experimental research is difficult or impossible, SEM explains social phenomena based on the theoretical research that was preceded. Also, SEM makes it possible to analyze the entire model, visualize the structure and evaluate it. There are various studies that explain Internet addiction and we considered that smartphone has similar pattern of Internet addiction. With reference to preceding studies, we tried to fit the Structural equation model that explain the Internet and smartphone addiction of Korean adolescents in this` thesis. The data was based on questionnaire targeting adolescents in Korea.
