청소년의 정서문제가 오프라인 비행 및 사이버 비행에 미치는 영향

Abstract

본 연구는 청소년의 정서문제가 학교생활적응을 매개로 오프라인 비행 및 사이버 비행에 미치는 영향을 파악하여, 궁극적으로는 청소년들의 비행행동을 예방하고 감소시키는 사회복지적 함의 모색을 목적으로 한다. 이러한 목적을 달성하고자 ‘한국 아동·청소년 패널조사 2010 (KYCPS: Korean Children and Youth Panel Survey)’ 패널 데이터를 활용하여 2차 자료 분석을 실시하였으며, 중학교 3학년 학생 2,259명의 자료가 최종 분석에 사용되었다. 자료 분석의 방법으로는 SPSS 22와 M.PLUS 7.4 프로그램을 이용하여 구조방정식 모형 분석(SEM: Structural Equation Modeling)을 실시하여, 측정모형의 적합도를 확인하고, 경로의 효과성을 분석하였으며, Sobel 검증을 실시하였다. 연구의 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 청소년의 정서문제 중 주의집중부족과 공격성은 청소년의 오프라인 비행과 사이버비행에 정 (+) 적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 확인되었다. 둘째, 청소년의 정서문제 중 주의집중부족과 공격성은 학교생활적응에 부 (-) 적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 확인되었다. 셋째, 청소년의 학교생활적응은 오프라인 비행과 사이버비행에 부 (-) 적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 확인되었다. 위와 같은 연구 결과에 따른 논의점 및 본 연구의 함의는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 청소년의 정서문제가 학교생활적응 및 오프라인 비행, 사이버비행에 영향을 줄 수 있는 것으로 나타나, 정서문제를 해결하여, 안정적 정서를 갖춘 인격체로 성장할 수 있도록 정서문제를 겪고 있는 청소년에 대한 개입이 필요하다. 둘째, 학교생활적응이 청소년의 오프라인 비행 및 사이버비행에 영향을 미치는 것으로 확인되었으므로, 학교생활적응의 문제를 갖고 있는 청소년의 문제를 이해하고, 그들이 학교규칙을 준수하며, 학교 안에서 교우 및 교사와 건전한 관계를 형성하여, 학교생활적응을 높일 수 있도록 다각적인 개입이 필요하다. 셋째, 청소년의 오프라인 비행과 사이버비행 행동을 단순히 청소년기의 문제로 국한시키는 것에서 더 나아가 이러한 행동들을 감소시키고 예방시킬 수 있는 다양한 프로그램을 개발해야 할 것이다. 본 연구는 청소년의 정서문제 중 주의집중부족과 공격성이 오프라인 비행 뿐 아니라 사이버비행에 미치는 영향 안에서 학교생활적응의 매개효과까지 함께 고려하여, 그 경로를 구체적으로 밝혀 청소년들의 오프라인 비행과 사이버비행을 예방하기 위한 기초자료를 마련하였다. 특히 청소년의 오프라인 비행과 사이버비행을 함께 다룬 연구가 부족한 실정에서 본 연구는 청소년의 정서문제가 오프라인 비행 및 사이버비행에 미치는 영향 관련 후속연구의 방향을 제시하였다는 점에서 의의가 있다.;This study aims to identify direct effects of juveniles' emotional problems on offline and cyber delinquencies and mediating effects of school adjustment in the relationship between emotional problems and offline and cyber delinquencies, so as to draw social welfare implications to prevent and decrease juvenile delinquencies. For the purpose of the study, this study used secondary data analysis using data from ‘2010 Korean Children and Youth Panel Survey’(KCYPS), which included 2,259 middle school 3rd graders. Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) was conducted to test goodness of fit for the model and to analyze direct and indirect effects of variables on offline and cyber delinquencies. Research findings are as follows. First, it showed that juveniles' emotional problems, particularly lack of attention and aggression had positive effect on their offline and cyber delinquencies. Second, it revealed that juveniles' emotional problems, particularly lack of attention and aggression had negative effect on their adjustment to a school life. Third, juveniles' adjustment to a school life had negative effect on their offline and cyber delinquencies. Based on research findings, following discussions and implications are presented. First, it showed that juveniles' emotional problems had negative effects on their adjustment to offline and cyber delinquencies as well as school adjustment. This implies that social work intervention is necessary for adolescents, ideally in school, so as to reduce such negative effects on school adjustment and offline and cyber delinquencies. Second, as school adjustment had mediating effect on in the relationship between emotional problems and juveniles' offline and cyber delinquencies, multilateral interventions are needed to prevent and/or decreased juveniles’ offline and cyber delinquencies by helping juveniles to adjust well to schools. These interventions may include activities to increase positive experiences in class and in school, positive developments of peer and teacher-student relationships, and to increase an understanding of school rules and regulations.
