Johannes Brahms Violin Sonata No.3 In d minor, OP.108에 관한 연구

Abstract

19세기 낭만주의는 낭만적인 선율, 다양한 화성, 개성적인 음악 양식, 풍부한 음색 등의 특징을 보였다. 하지만 다른 낭만주의 작곡가들에 비해 비교적 보수적인 성향을 갖고 있는 작곡자 브람스(Johannes Brahms, 1833-1897)는 고전주의 형식미를 추구하며 시대적 흐름에 흔들리지 않았다. 기존의 레퍼토리 형식을 중시하는 고전적 보수주의적인 면모를 보이면서도 당대의 기준에서 벗어나 선구적인 음악을 추구했던 그는 당대 최고의 독일 작곡가였다. 그는 실내악 작곡에 큰 비중을 두었으며 총 24곡을 작곡했다. 브람스가 작곡했던 바이올린 소나타는 여러 곡이 있었지만 현재까지는 세 곡만이 남아있다. 이 세 곡은 모두 브람스 40세 이후에 작곡되었으며 낭만주의 바이올린 소나타 중 최고로 평가 받고 있다. 말년의 브람스 내면이 담겨진 바이올린 소나타 3번, Op.108은 전통적인 소나타 형식으로 작곡되었으며 4악장 구성으로 이루어져 있다. 본 논문에서는 브람스의 생애와 작품 배경을 알아본 후 그의 음악적 특징과 화성, 구조, 형식, 선율 분석을 통해 브람스 바이올린 소나타 3번, Op.108을 심층적으로 연구해보고자 한다.;The Romanticism of the 19th century showed the characteristics such as romantic melody, diverse chords, individual music style, and rich tone. However, compared to other romantic composers, a relatively conservative composer, Johannes Brahms (1833-1897) pursued the formal beauty of classicism without being swayed by the flow of the times. He was the best German composer of the time as pursuing the pioneering music by getting out of the standard of the time while also showing the classically conservative aspect emphasizing the existing repertoire style. Mainly focusing on the composition of chamber music, he composed total 24 songs. Even though Brahms composed many violin sonatas, currently there are only three songs remained. Those three songs were all composed after Brahms was 40 years old, and they are evaluated as the best among the romantic violin sonatas. The Violin Sonata No.3, Op.108 containing the inner side of Brahms in his latter years was based on the traditional sonata style, comprised of four movements. This paper aims to deeply research Brahms Violin Sonata No.3, Op.108 through the analysis on his musical characteristics, chord, structure, form, and melody after understanding his life and background of works.
