Abstract

본 논문은 본인의 석사과정 졸업 연주회 곡목인 C. Franck『Prélude, Fugue et Variation in b minor, Op. 18』, J. Haydn『Piano Sonata in E♭Major, Hob. XVI: 52』, F.Chopin『Phantasie in f minor, Op. 49』, S.Prokofiev『Piano sonata No. 2 in d minor, Op. 14』에 대한 작품해설이다. César Auguste Franck(1822-1890)는 프랑스의 오르간 연주자이자 작곡가이다.『Prélude, Fugue et Variation in b minor, Op. 18』은 1862년 작곡된 것으로 추정되며 6개의 오르간을 위한 곡 집《Six Pièces d’Orgue》에 포함된 곡이다. 본인은 석사과정 졸업 연주회에서 해롤드 바우어(Harold Bauer)가 편곡한 곡을 연주하였다.『Prélude, Fugue et Variation in b minor, Op. 18』은 프랑크 음악의 특징인 견고한 형식과 섬세한 선율이 잘 드러나는 작품이다. Franz Joseph Haydn(1732-1809)은 건반음악을 위한 작품들 중 52개의 피아노 소나타를 작곡했다. 이 소나타들은 하이든의 건반음악 작품들 중 중요한 위치를 차지하고 있는데 그 중 1794년 작곡된 마지막 소나타『E♭Major, Hob. XVI: 52』는 3악장으로 구성된 대작이다. 1악장의 소나타 형식, 2악장의 3부 형식, 3악장의 론도 소나타 형식 가지며 이러한 형식 안에서 다양한 요소를 통해 하이든의 고전파 음악적 양식을 잘 드러내고 있다. Frédéric François Chopin(1810-1849)은 큰 규모의 피아노 작품인『Phantasie in f minor, Op. 49』를 1840-1841년에 작곡하였다. 이 작품은 짧은 행진곡을 서주부로 사용하는 자유로운 소나타 형식으로 구성되어 있다. 다양한 음악적 아이디어를 결합하여 쇼팽만의 서정적 선율과 독창적 화성기법이 잘 드러난 작품으로 환상곡의 특징이 잘 나타난 작품이다. Sergei Sergeyevich Prokofiev(1891-1953)는 전 생애에 걸쳐 미완성 소나타 1개를 포함한 10개의 피아노 소나타를 작곡했다. 1912년 작곡한 『Piano Sonata No. 2 in d minor, Op. 14』는 소나타 형식으로 된 1악장, 풍자적인 스케르초의 2악장, 느리고 엄숙한 분위기의 3악장, 그리고 빠른 템포의 피날레인 4악장으로 구성되어 있다. 이 곡은 전통적인 형식과 기법을 바탕으로 피아노의 타악기적 테크닉, 혁신적인 화성, 다양한 리듬과 서정적인 선율 등의 음악적 특징이 잘 드러난 프로코피에프만의 개성이 돋보이는 작품이다.;The purpose of this program annotation is to enhance understanding of 4 pieces I performed in the graduate recital. The pieces selected for the recital are C. Franck's 『Prélude, Fugue et Variation in b minor, Op. 18』, J. Haydn's『Piano Sonata in E♭Major, Hob. XVI: 52』, F. Chopin's 『Phantasie in f minor, Op. 49』, S. Prokofiev's『Piano sonata No. 2 in d minor, Op. 14』. César Auguste Franck(1822-1890) is a French organist and composer. Franck's 『Prélude, Fugue et Variation in b minor, Op. 18』is presumed to be composed in 1862, and is one of the music involved in his《Six Pièces d'Orgue》. In my graduate recital, I used Harold Bauer's transcription for this piece of music.『Prélude, Fugue et Variation in b minor, Op. 18』represents a well-organized form and sophisticated melodies which are distinctive characters of Frank's music. Franz Joseph Haydn(1732-1809) had composed 52 large volumes of sonatas among the pieces of music for keyboard instruments. These sonatas hold the most important position in his keyboard works. Haydn's 『E♭Major, Hob. XVI: 52』, his final sonata composed in 1794, is a masterpiece consisting of three movements. Haydn's classical style is clearly represented in a variety of styles expressed in the sonata-allegro form of the first movement, ternary form of the second movement, and sonata-rondo form of the third movement. Frédéric François Chopin(1810-1849) compose 『Phantasie in f minor, Op. 49』in 1840-1841, which is a large-scaled work of piano music. It consists of a free sonata form using a short march as a opening. It is a piece of music well manifesting the characteristics of fantasia by combining various musical ideas and representing lyric melody and his exclusive harmonic structure. Finally, Sergei Sergeyevich Prokofiev(1891-1953) had composed 9 works of piano sonatas. His『Piano Sonata No. 2 in d minor, Op. 14』 composed in 1912, consists of the first movement in sonata-allegro form, the second movement of satiric Scherzo, the third movement with a slow and solemn atmosphere, and the fourth movement as a finale at a fast pace. This sonata displays his characteristics including piano's percussive techniques, innovative harmony, various rhythmic patterns and lyric melodies, based on traditional forms.
