Abstract

본 논문은 필자의 석사과정 졸업연주회의 프로그램을 중심으로 각 작품의 작곡가의 생애와 작품 배경 및 음악적 특징에 대해 연구한 것으로 실제 연주 시 곡에 대한 이해를 돕는 것을 목적으로 한다. 루트비히 반 베토벤 (Ludwig van Beethoven, 1770-1827)의 『Zwölf Variationen für Klavier und Violoncello Op. 66』, 레오날도 안 (Reynaldo Hahn, 1875-1947)의 가곡 『Le Printemps』,『Fêtes Galantes』,『A Chloris』, 세르게이 프로코피에프 (Sergei Prokofiev, 1891-1953)의 『Sonata for Piano and Violin in d minor Op. 94a』의 작곡가의 생애와 작품 배경 및 음악적 특징을 알아보았다. 베토벤은 하이든, 모차르트와 더불어 고전시대의 대표적인 작곡가이다. 모차르트의 영향을 많이 받았으며 그의 오페라에 나오는 주제로 첼로와 피아노를 위한 12개의 변주곡을 2곡 작곡하였고 『Zwölf Variationen für Klavier und Violoncello Op. 66』은 그 중 두 번째 곡이다. 베토벤이 28세가 되던해 작곡되었다. 레오날도 안은 여러 분야의 음악활동을 통해 19세기 말에서 20세기 전반에 걸쳐 프랑스 음악에 많은 영향을 미친 인물로 대략 100편의 성악작품들을 작곡하였다. 『Le Printemps』은 1898년에서 1899년 사이에 작곡된 곡으로 화려한 봄날의 자연과 봄의 햇살과 젊은이들의 희망을 노래하고 있는 시이다. 『Fêtes Galantes』은 1892년 작곡된 곡으로 자연의 황홀함 속에서 어울리는 젊은 남녀들을 노래하고 있다. 『A Chloris』는 1913년 작곡되었고 사랑하는 사람에게 바치는 아름다운 연가로 우아함과 세련된 기품이 곡에 깃들여있다. 프로코피에프는 20세기 러시아의 현대음악을 이끌었던 대표적인 작곡가 중의 한 사람이다. 그는 러시아의 색채를 가지고 신고전주의 양식을 취하였으며, 그 안에 자신만의 개성을 발휘해 독자적인 작품세계를 펼쳐나간 작곡가이다. 그가 작곡한 『Sonata for Piano and Violin in d minor Op. 94a』는 신고전주의 양식을 잘 보여 주고 있으며1944년 개작한 작품으로 본래는 플루트를 위한 곡이었다.;The purpose of this study is to analyze my master degree recital program to help understand the pieces and reflect them in the actual performance. This paper analyzes the life of different composers and musical characteristics and backgrounds of their works. The works are as follows: 『Zwölf Variationen für Klavier und Violoncello Op. 66』 written by Ludwig van Beethoven (1770-1827), three songs from Reynaldo Hahn (1875-1947), 『Le Printemps』,『Fêtes Galantes』, and 『A Chloris』, and 『Sonata for Piano and Violin in d minor Op. 94a』 composed by Sergei Prokofiev (1891-1953). Haydn, Mozart, and Beethoven are considered as representative Classical composers. Beethoven wrote two 12 variations for cello and piano based on Mozart’s opera themes. Highly influenced by Mozart, Beethoven composed 『Zwölf Variationen für Klavier und Violoncello Op. 66』 when he turned 28. Hahn has influenced a number of French music during the nineteenth to the twentieth century through his various music career fields. He composed around 100 vocal music pieces. 『Le Printemps』, written from 1898 to 1899, shows the colorful nature and spring sunshine and hopes of the young. 『Fêtes Galantes』, composed in 1892, shows a young couple in the blissful nature. Lastly, 『A Chloris』 was composed in the year 1913. This elegant and sophisticated love song is dedicated to the beloved. Prokofiev is known as a representative composer who led the twentieth century Russian contemporary music. With his Russian colors, he adopted the neo-classical style. And with his own unique personality, he spread out his independent world of works. 『Sonata for Piano and Violin in d minor Op. 94a』 reflects the neo-classical style of his work. This piece, originally written for flute, was recomposed in 1944.
