인터넷 개인 방송의 초점화 연구

Abstract

With the development of Internet information processing technology and video compression technology, a technical environment for real-time streaming of videos has been created. In this context, internet personal broadcasting is newly emerging from the tradition of entertainment culture that has been connected to UCC (User Created Content) Digital media. Internet personal broadcasting has the aspect of digital narrative in terms of the recreation and arrangement of events. The narrator of the Internet personal broadcasting, in which the narrator of the broadcaster and the narrator of the audience complete one narrative through interventions, is a new type of digital narrator. Despite the fact that the narratives of Internet personal broadcasts appear on two levels of the narrator of the broadcast host and the narrator of the audience, the previous studies have separately investigated the layers of the host and the audience. The Internet personal broadcasting is an interactive narrative in which the narrator of the broadcast host and the narrator of the audience in real time make an overall narrative through the organic relationships. Therefore, these separated studies have limitations in revealing the distinctive characteristics of the internet personal broadcasting. Also, this study aims to dispute the tendency of the studies only dealing with the category of user discourse and second-creation without seriously considering the process of internet personal broadcasting. Internet personal broadcasting has unique aesthetic narratives due to the fixed camera composition. Especially, in the case of 'Muk-bang', the broadcasting of 'eating the food', the specific broadcasting method of Korea 'Muk-bang' has been formulated in one format as a unique culture of Korea. Therefore, this study analyzed the episodic dynamical relationships between the audience of the actor and the actor of the actor's behavior. In chapter 2, the study examined internet personal broadcasting in genealogy. Through a stepwise analysis of the process from internet music broadcasting to UCC (User Created Content), it was confirmed that the internet personal broadcasting developed as a new type of digital narrative with added interactivity and possibility of user narrative intervention. In chapter 3, the study conducted a comparative analysis of the drama "Lonely Gourmet" and 'Muk-bang' based on the three aspects of ocularisation by Andre Gaudreault and Francois Jost: ocularisation zero, ocularisation interne primaire, ocularisation Interne secondaire. Thus, the distinctive visualization characteristics of 'Muk-bang' were revealed, and that the aesthetics generated through these visual characteristics were clarified as the immediacy of transparency, the multiplicity of hypermedia, and the mediated desire of remediation. In chapter 4, the study explored the restoration of everyday life through the actions performed in "Muk-bang" and its implications based on the performance theory of Richard Schechner. In addition, the fourth stage of René Girard's imitative desire mechanism was compared with the fourth stage of the narrative process of 'Muk-bang', and the narrative function of the mimic desire in internet personal broadcasting as an interactive narrative, Socio-cultural significance were identified. Internet personal broadcasting and the drives of 'Muk-bang''s audience are not the manifestation of voyeuristic distorted desire. The true narrative function and significance of Internet personal broadcasting is in the social integration through restoration of everyday life and reconstruction of communities. The study on the visualization of internet personal broadcasting narratives is significant in that it overcomes the tendency of individual studies about the broadcast moderator and audience and unifies the characteristics of the interactive narrative of internet personal broadcasting as a new digital narrative in the narration unit of the narrative.;인터넷 개인 방송은 인터넷의 정보처리 기술과 동영상 압축 기술의 발달로 동영상을 실시간 스트리밍 할 수 있는 기술적인 환경이 조성되고 인터넷 음악 방송에서 UCC(User Created Content)로 이어진 향유 문화의 전통에서 새로이 등장하게 된 디지털 미디어다. 인터넷 개인 방송은 사건의 재현 및 배열적인 측면에서 디지털 서사의 면모를 갖춘다. 방송 진행자의 서사와 시청자의 서사가 서로 개입을 통해 하나의 서사를 완성해 나가는 인터넷 개인 방송의 서사는 새로운 형태의 디지털 서사체이다. 인터넷 개인 방송의 서사가 방송 진행자의 서사와 시청자의 서사의 두 층위에서 나타남에도 불구하고 선행된 연구에서는 진행자의 층위와 시청자의 층위를 따로 분리하여 개별적인 연구를 진행해왔다. 인터넷 개인 방송은 실시간으로 방송 진행자의 서사와 시청자의 서사가 유기적인 관계를 통해 전체 서사를 만들어나가는 상호작용 서사이므로 이러한 개별적인 연구는 인터넷 개인 방송의 변별적 특성을 밝히는데 한계가 있다. 또한 인터넷 개인 방송의 발생 과정에 대한 진지한 고찰 없이 사용자 담론 및 2차 창작의 범주에서만 다뤄지던 연구 경향 역시 논박하고자 한다. 인터넷 개인 방송은 고정된 카메라 구도로 인해 독특한 미감의 서사가 발생한다. 특히 '음식을 먹는 행위'를 방송의 소재이자 주제로 삼는 '먹방'의 경우 한국만의 독특한 문화로서 한국 '먹방'만의 특정한 방송 진행 방식이 하나의 포맷으로 정형화되었다. 따라서 '먹방'을 상호작용 서사의 관점에서 행위의 주체인 방송 진행자와 방송 진행자의 행위에 영향을 미치는 시청자 사이의 서사적 역학 관계를 시각화의 양상을 분석하였다. 2장에서는 인터넷 개인 방송을 계보학적으로 탐색하였다. 인터넷 음악 방송에서부터 UCC(User Created Content)로 이어지는 과정의 단계별 분석을 통해 인터넷 개인 방송이 상호작용성과 사용자의 서사 개입 가능성이 추가된 새로운 형태의 디지털 서사체로 발전하게 되었음을 확인하였다. 3장에서는 앙드레 고드로(Andre Gaudreault)와 프랑수아 조스트(Francois jost)의 시각화(ocularisation)의 3가지 양상인 무시각화(ocularisation zéro), 일차 내적 시각화(ocularisation interne primaire), 이차 내적시각화)(ocularisation interne secondaire)를 토대로 드라마 <고독한 미식가>와 '먹방'의 비교 분석을 진행하였다. 이를 통해 '먹방'만의 변별적인 시각화 특성을 도출하고 이러한 시각적 특성을 통해 발생되는 미감을 비매개(immediacy) 투명성, 하이퍼매개(hypermediacy)의 다중성, 재매개(remediation)의 매개된 욕망임을 밝혔다. 4장에서는 리차드 셰크너(Richard Schechner)의 연행(performance) 이론으로 '먹방'에서 재현된 행위를 통한 일상의 복원과 그 의미를 살펴보았다. 또한 르네 지라르(René Girard)의 모방적 욕망 매커니즘의 4단계를 '먹방'의 서사 진행 4단계와 비교 분석을 통해 상호작용 서사로서 인터넷 개인 방송에 나타나는 모방적 욕망과 그로 인한 희생양 제의의 서사적 기능 및 사회문화적 의의를 밝혔다. 인터넷 개인 방송, '먹방'의 시청 동인은 관음증적인 왜곡된 욕망의 발현이 아니다. 인터넷 개인 방송의 진정한 서사적 기능 및 의의는 일상의 복원과 공동체의 재건을 통한 사회 통합에 있다. 인터넷 개인 방송 서사의 시각화 연구는 방송 진행자와 시청자에 관한 개별적인 연구 경향을 극복하고 새로운 디지털 서사체로서의 인터넷 개인 방송의 상호작용적 서사의 특징을 서사의 심급 단위에서 통합적으로 밝혀냈다는 점에서 그 의의가 있다.
