국내 리빙랩의 혁신성 분석

Abstract

최근 개발자 중심의 기술 생태계에서는 실생활 문제해결, 사용자 참여에 대한 관심이 증대되면서 사회 참여를 과학적이고 유기적으로 연결시켜 사회문제를 해결하려는 기술과 사회가 결합된 형태의 새로운 움직임이 모색되기 시작하였다. 이러한 흐름 속에서 기술을 통한 문제해결, 수요에 부응하는 기술개발에 초점을 맞추는 혁신모델인 리빙랩이 부각되고 있다. 기술 그 자체가 목적이 아니라 문제해결을 가능하게 하는 존재라는 관점에서 새로운 혁신모델인 리빙랩은 문제해결과 수요 측면을 강조하면서 사용자를 혁신활동의 핵심 주체로 파악한다. 리빙랩은 최종 사용자의 참여와 기여를 통해 혁신활동을 추진해 나가는 혁신모델로, 새로운 제품과 서비스에 대한 아이디어를 최종 사용자로부터 적극적으로 획득한다. 이러한 점에서 리빙랩은 에너지, 신제품 개발, 주거, 교육, 보건의료, 복지, 교통 등 다양한 분야에서 적용되고 있고 특히, 재난․응급․구조 기술과 같이 공익과 안전을 추구하는 분야에서도 그 활용이 증대되고 있다. 본 연구에서는 최근 국내에서도 다양한 분야에 적용되고 있는 새로운 혁신 모델인 리빙랩에 대한 문헌연구를 통해 개념과 특성, 적용사례들을 알아보고 리빙랩과 밀접하게 연관되어있는 혁신과정인 개방형 혁신, 사용자 혁신, 디자인 혁신과의 관계를 비교 분석하여 새로운 리빙랩 모델을 제안하고자 한다. 그리고 현재 진행되고 있는 소방제품개발 리빙랩 사례를 분석하여 아직까지 국내에서 활성화되고 있지 않은 리빙랩에 대한 적극적인 참여와 확산을 이끌어내는 데에 그 의의를 두고자 한다.;As real-life problem solving and the interest on user participation increases, Developer-oriented technology ecosystem has begun to be sought by a new movement in the form of a combination of technology and society to solve social problems linking social participation scientifically and organically. In this flow, Living Lab has been highlighted as innovation model focusing on problem solving through technology, development of technology to meet demand. From the point of view that the technology itself is not an objective but a problem-solving entity, A new innovation model, Living Lab identify users as key players in innovation activities, emphasizing problem solving and demand side. Living Lab proactively acquires ideas for new products and services from end users, as an innovation model that promotes innovation activities through participation and contribution of end users. In this regard, Living Lab is applied in various fields, Energy, new product development, housing, education, health care, welfare, transportation, etc. Especially, its utilization is increasing even in disaster, emergency and rescue technologies, as well as pursuing public interest and safety. In this study, I would like to propose a new living lab model by learning about concepts, characteristics, and applications through literature research on living lab of a new innovation model recently being applied to various fields in Korea and by comparing and analyzing relationships between Open Innovation, User Innovation, Design Innovation of the process closely linked to living lab. I would like to emphasize the importance of active participation and proliferation on Living Lab not being active in Korea yet, by analyzing the case of fire-fighting product development living being currently underway.
