Taxonomic Study on the Marine Interstitial Polychaetes from Korea

Abstract

This taxonomic study was carried out on interstitial polychaetes. Interstitial polychaetes commonly had small body size, weak segmentation, few or no appendages, parapodia, or setae. This taxon commonly consists of 8 families (Diurodrilidae, Nerillidae, Parergodrilidae, Polygordiidae, Protodrilidae, Protodriloididae, Psammodrilidae, Saccocirridae), but some species are regarded as interstitial polychaetes depending on their body size. Collecting were processed in intertidal zone from July 2015 to October 2016. As a result, 6 species of 6 genera were identified. Haplosyllis spongicola (Grube, 1855) is a recorded species in Korea. Nerillidium sp. nov. and Pharyngocirrus koreanus sp. nov. are new to science. Fabriciola sp., Polygordius sp. and Protodrilus cf. puniceus are needed more detailed studies.;간극수성 다모류에 대한 분류학적 연구를 수행하였다. 간극수성 다모류는 일반적으로 몸통의 크기는 작고 체절이 약하며, 부속기관, 측각, 가시 등이 적게 있거나 없다. 이 분류군은 일반적으로 8개의 과를 포함하지만 (Diurodrilidae, Nerillidae, Parergodrilidae, Polygordiidae, Protodrilidae, Protodriloididae, Psammodrilidae, Saccocirridae), 이 이외의 과에도 몸통 크기에 따라 간극수성 다모류에 포함되는 분류군이 있다. 2015년 7월부터 2016년 10월까지 한국의 8군데의 해안가에서 채집을 진행하였다. 그 결과 총 6속 6종을 발굴하였다. 이 중에서 Haplosyllis spongicola(해면염주발갯지렁이)는 한국의 기록종이며, Nerillidium sp. nov., Pharyngocirrus koreanus sp. nov. 는 신종, 나머지 3종인 Fabriciola sp., Polygordius sp., Protodrilus cf. puniceus은 추가적인 연구가 필요하다.
