팬지꽃(pansy)의 이미지를 응용한 패션디자인 연구

Abstract

As a means of self-existence that cannot be separated from human beings, the nature ceaselessly inspires arts while providing a fundamental motif in all creative areas. The industrial society and the modern civilization that have been advanced along with science in the 21st century enable contemporary people who have faith in individualism to dream about 'an opportunity toward the nature'. The nature that carries unlimited significance with regard to human beings is exhibited through studies on expression of various new techniques aimed to express inspiration that many designers get from the nature. Of many natural objects that can be considered as the source of creation, the formative image of pansies that have been studied as a design motif was applied to modern fashion design. Therefore, this study applied the formative characteristics of pansy to modern fashion design. The pansy has a curved shape overlapped with a radial line. It has a harmony of complementary contrast, brightness contrast and saturation contrast in three different colors of a flower pot, a butterfly shaped brooch, and a central part in the middle of a petal It has a visual texture in the strength of the thin lines of the brooch and vase. In introducing this formality into the works, the elements of lines and forms appearing in the brooch and vase of the pansies are superimposed by stitch technique. In addition, the shape in which the petals are overlapped with each other is created by a three-dimensional arrangement, and a coherent surface feeling such as a feeling of warmth, a sense of space, and a feeling of depth are created. The purpose of this study is to present the process of expressing the unique texture of the pansy and the formative characteristics of the form using modern embroidery technique and to enlarge the area. Contents and methods of the study are as follows. First, it pertains to relationships between flowers and design, and the image of pansies was divided into lines, shapes, colors, patterns and texture for the purpose of examination before examination on formative characteristics by classification through literary research, Internet research and previous studies. Second, design examples to which floral image was applied were examined in the latest fashion collections through Internet search and literary research, and the concept, history and types of modern embroidery techniques were investigated before review on examples of modern fashion to which the embroidery techniques were applied. Based on them, they study aimed to achieve effective expression centering around the unique texture and three-dimensional shape of pansies through application of the design of the researcher who reinterpreted the motif of pansies and the modern embroidery technique. A total of 6 works were created, and they included 2 coats, 2 one-pieces, 1 vest, 2 pants and 2 blouses. The study generated the following conclusions. First, it can be seen that the overlaid curved shape of the pansy petals, the radial line of the vase, and the formality appearing in the butterfly pattern of the brooch are suitable motifs for creating a pictorial and unique fashion design. Second, in expressing the unique form of the line extending from the brooch and the vein of the pansy, it is necessary to repeat the process of superposing the wool fibers one by one and then stitch like a drawing. Third, in introducing the three colors of paintings, brooches and central parts of pansy into the clothes, the contrast of black and white in the paintings and brooches was shown, and the contrast of color and contrast was used It was able to effectively express the color and shape of the brooch of a unique butterfly pattern. Fourth, the three dimensional arrangement of the pansy was able to create a fashion work with a cohesive sense of surface that expresses formative expressions such as richness, spaciousness, and depth. In addition, when the end of the petal of a pansy naturally dries inward, and the feature composed of the top plate, the side plate, and the bottom plate is introduced into the work, it is found that the sense of space and three dimension effectively appear. The study aimed to analyze formative image indicated in pansies and combine it with clothing design to highlight a possibility as a unique expression technique. Furthermore, it aimed to express the area of formative arts by suggesting a new value. The study carries significance in that it found a possibility that the image of pansies rarely used in modern fashion can be reflected in fashion and that the shape and texture can be expressed through modern embroidery techniques at a time of manufacturing clothes. In addition, if research continues to incorporate modern embroidery techniques into fashion design with motifs of pansy in the future, it will be competitive as a fashion design that pursues formative artistry, originality, and high added value.;자연은 인간과 분리될 수 없는 자아존재의 수단으로 예술에 끊임없는 영감을 제공하며 모든 창작적인 영역에서의 근원적 모티프가 되고 있다. 21세기 과학과 더불어 발전한 산업사회와 현대문명은 개인주의가 팽배해진 현대인들에게 ‘자연에로의 회기’를 꿈꾸게 한다. 인간에게 무한한 의미를 지니고 있는 자연은 많은 디자이너들이 자연에서 받은 영감을 의상에 표현하기 위해 새로운 다양한 기법들의 표현연구를 통해 나타나고 있다. 창작의 원천이라고 할 수 있는 자연물 중에서 꽃은 완벽한 조화의 미를 갖추고 있어 많은 디자인의 모티프로 연구되어왔다. 이에 본 연구는 팬지꽃에 나타나는 조형적 특성을 현대 패션디자인에 응용하였다. 팬지꽃은 방사형선과 중첩된 곡선적 형태를 띄고 있으며, 화판, 나비모양의 무늬인 브로치 및 꽃잎 한가운데인 중앙 부위가 각기 다른 3가지의 색채에서 보색대비, 명도대비 및 채도대비의 색채조화를 이루고 있으며 브로치, 화맥의 가느다란 선의 강약에서 회화적인 시각적 질감을 지니고 있다. 이러한 조형성을 작품에 도입함에 있어서, 양모섬유를 한 겹씩 겹쳐서 팬지꽃의 브로치와 화맥에서 나타나는 선과 형태의 요소를 스티치 기법을 활용하여 회화적으로 표현하였다. 또한, 꽃잎이 서로 중첩되는 형태를 입체적 배치를 통해 양감과 공간감, 깊이감 등의 있는 부조적 표면감을 창출하였다. 본 연구의 목적은 팬지꽃의 독특한 질감과 형태의 조형적 특성을 현대자수기법을 활용하여 표현함으로써 팬지꽃의 이미지를 부각시키고 동시에 창의적이며 고급스러운 현대 패션으로 표현하는 과정을 제시하고, 패션디자인 표현영역을 확대하는 데에 있다. 본 연구의 내용 및 방법은 다음과 같다. 첫째, 꽃과 디자인의 관계로서 팬지꽃의 이미지를 선과 형태, 색채와 무늬, 질감으로 나누어 살펴보고 문헌 자료와 인터넷 검색, 선행연구를 통해 각 분류에 따른 조형적 특성에 대해 연구를 하였다. 둘째, 인터넷 검색과 문헌 고찰을 통하여 꽃의 이미지를 응용한 디자인사례를 최근 발표된 패션 컬렉션에서 살펴보고, 꽃의 이미지를 표현하기 위해 응용된 기법인 현대자수 기법의 개념과 역사 및 종류를 알아보며, 현대자수기법이 활용된 패션디자인의 사례들을 살펴보았다. 이를 토대로 현대자수기법을 활용하여 팬지꽃의 독특한 이미지를 표현한 실물작품을 제작하였다. 실물 작품은 코트2점, 원피스2점, 베스트1점, 바지2점, 블라우스2점으로 구성된 총 6 착장 디자인을 제작하였다. 본 연구를 통해 얻은 결론은 다음과 같다. 첫째, 팬지꽃잎의 중첩된 곡선적 형태, 화맥의 방사형선 및 브로치의 나비무늬에서 나타나는 조형성은 회화적이고 독특한 패션 디자인을 창출하기에 적합한 모티프임을 알 수 있었다. 둘째, 팬지꽃의 브로치와 화맥에서 뻗어 나오는 선의 독특한 형태를 작품에 표현함에 있어서, 양모섬유를 한 겹씩 겹쳐 올리는 과정을 반복한 후에 드로잉 하듯이 스티치를 하여, 붓 터치한 이미지와 요철효과가 풍성한 질감을 표현할 수 있었다. 셋째, 팬지꽃에서 보여지는 화판과 브로치, 중앙부위 3가지의 색채를 의상에 도입함에 있어서, 화판과 브로치에서 흑백의 명도대비가 나타났으며 중앙부위를 노란색으로 사용하여 색채대비와 보색대비 효과가 나타나 독특한 나비무늬의 브로치 색채와 형태를 효과적으로 표현할 수 있었다. 넷째, 팬지꽃의 입체적 배치를 통해 풍성한 양감과 공간감, 깊이감 등의 조형적 표현이 잘 드러나는 부조적 표면감을 지닌 패션작품으로 창출할 수 있었다. 또한, 팬지꽃 특유의 꽃잎의 끝이 자연스럽게 안으로 말리는 형태와 상판, 측판, 하판의 순서대로 구성된 특징을 작품에 도입한 결과 공간감과 입체감이 효과적으로 나타나는 것을 알 수 있었다. 본 연구는 팬지꽃에 나타난 조형적 이미지를 분석하고 의상 디자인에 접목시킴으로서 새로운 독창적 표현기법으로서의 가능성을 재조명하였고, 나아가 새로운 가치를 지닌 하나의 조형예술로서 영역을 확대하고자 하였다. 현대 패션에서 연구량이 적은 팬지꽃의 이미지를 패션에 반영할 수 있다는 가능성을 발견하고 현대자수기법을 통해 그 형태와 질감을 표현한 의상제작에 의의를 둔다. 아울러 앞으로 팬지꽃 이미지를 모티프로 하여 현대자수기법을 의상 디자인에 도입하는 연구가 계속된다면, 조형적 예술미와 독창성, 고부가가치성을 추구하는 의상디자인으로서의 경쟁력을 가질 수 있을 것이다.
