How the World Works

Abstract

This TBI science textbook is designed for 5th graders of elementary school in Korea 3 and used in after school programs. By using TBI and communicative tasks, this book will cover different themes in science. Learning English through science will be effective for young learners because fun and interesting topics will raise their motivation and confidence. They will have plenty of opportunities to listen and read meaningful contents and use the language when completing the tasks. These tasks will help students to build their language skill and develop background knowledge and critical thinking as well.
