Abstract
The production of hydrogen peroxide from water and dioxygen was achieved by combination of semiconductor-photocatalysed oxidation of water and photocatalytic two-electron reduction of dioxygen with [RuII((MeO)2bpy)3]2+ ((MeO)2bpy = 4,4′-dimethoxy-2,2′-bipyridine) in the presence of Sc3+ in water under visible light irradiation. © 2016 The Royal Society of Chemistry.
