dc.description.abstractBroadcast is a typical message dissemination mechanism for emergency notifications, traffic information, notice and advertisement messages in VANETs. In this paper, we identify the cases that the broadcast message cannot be propagated with the Contention-Based Forwarding approach which is one of the most representative dissemination approaches for VANETs and propose road-based broadcast message dissemination approach for more reliable dissemination. ©2011 IEEE.*
