dc.description.abstract | This paper presented a study on the possibility of convergent education of Korean classical poetry, songs and science. The significance of this paper is as follows. Firstly, that the convergent education of literature and science was started from the ancient times; hence, the origin of it is very long. Secondly, we can think about the ancient methods of passing down scientific knowledge through the convergent education of classical literature and science. In the modern era's point of view, mythology is literature, but in the ancient times' viewpoint, mythology is a part of science history. Thirdly, we learned about the creative idea of understanding the close relationship between astronomical and humanities-related phenomena through classical poetry and songs. Fourthly, it is found that a lot of scientific knowledge exists in literature, contributing to a deeper understanding of literature. Fifthly, we learned that if existing literature classes changed into convergent classes with sciences, then even the same literary pieces would be understood in a whole new way. Furthermore, through literature, we discover the importance of developing an upright character, and how closely related this is to societal problems. The real meaning of convergent education of literature and science-based on classics is here elucidated. | - |
