청소년 미술치료에서 스마트폰 주제 그림의 적용 가능성 고찰

Abstract

본 연구의 목적은 미술치료에서 청소년의 스마트폰 주제 그림이 적용 가능한지 알아보기 위한 것이다. 이를 위해 스마트폰을 사용하는 청소년에게 스마트폰 주제 그림을 그리게 하고, 수집된 그림에서 청소년에 대한 어떤 정보를 제공하는지 보고, 수집된 정보들이 미술치료에서 어떻게 적용이 가능한지 알아보고자 하였다. 이를 위하여 S시에 거주하는 스마트폰을 사용하고 있는 14-19세, 남녀, 청소년 총 50명을 대상으로 2015년 2월 22일부터 5월 31일까지 ○○인터넷 중독예방상담센터, ○○고등학교, ○○교육관에서 한국정보화진흥원(2011)에서 개발한 표준화된 청소년용 스마트폰 중독 진단 척도와 스마트폰 주제 그림을 실시하였다. 연구 참여자의 성별은 남학생 28명, 여학생 22명이고 교급별로 보면 중학생 23명, 고등학생 27명으로 선정하였다. 고위험사용자군 3명, 잠재적위험사용자군 10명, 일반사용자군 37명이었고, 하루 사용시간은 최대 7-18시간, 최소 1-2시간이었으며, 즐겨 이용하는 애플리케이션은 카카오톡 45명, 페이스북 31명, 게임 15명 순으로 많았다. 본 연구의 결과에 대한 결론 및 논의는 다음과 같다. 스마트폰 주제 그림은 형식과 내용적 특징으로 분류할 수 있었다. 그림에 반영된 형식적 특징에서 공간 사용, 대상의 위치, 선택한 재료의 종류. 인물의 크기, 선의 성질, 글씨 삽입 등의 요소를 분석하였다. 내용적 특징에서 스마트폰과 자기, 친구, 가족, 환경에 대한 지각과 상호작용에 대한 정보를 분석하였다. 그림에는 개인이 전달하고자 하는 내용뿐만 아니라 내면의 사고와 감정, 자신과 외부 세계에 대한 지각 및 대인관계와 대처 방식이 반영되었다. 첫째, 스마트폰 주제 그림은 미술치료에서 자기보고식 검사인 스마트폰 중독 자가진단 검사의 단점을 보완할 수 있는 도구로 활용될 가능성이 있다. 즉 내담자의 진단 및 치료를 위한 종합적 정보 수집에서 내담자의 경험적 정보를 제공할 수 있다. 스마트폰 주제 그림은 그림을 통해 참여자의 중독성 여부는 알 수 없었지만, 스마트폰 사용과 관련하여 스마트폰과 참여자 간의 상호작용에 관한 부분을 유추할 수 있는 경험 자료를 제공한다고 볼 수 있다. 둘째, 스마트폰 주제 그림은 미술치료기법으로 사용될 수 있다. 스마트폰 주제 그림은 미술치료 임상현장에서 절차가 간단하여 사용하기 쉽고, 내담자의 내적 상태를 반영해주는 하나의 도구가 되며, 이를 통해 내담자의 문제를 바라볼 수 있는 도구로 초기 면담, 동기화의 기법, 치료기법으로 활용될 수 있다. 스마트폰 주제 그림은 초기 면담에서 청소년과 치료사 사이의 라포 형성과 청소년의 편안한 느낌, 신뢰, 그리고 동기를 돋우기 위한 긴장완화 방법으로서 활용이 가능하다. 또한 스마트폰 주제 그림은 동기화의 미술치료기법으로 치료 초기에 내담자는 그림 작업과 결과물을 통해 자신의 문제를 인식하면서 치료에 참여하는 동기가 유발될 가능성이 있다. 아울러 스마트폰 주제 그림은 치료과정에서 치료를 촉진하는 그림으로 통찰, 학습, 성장을 유도할 수 있을 것으로 기대된다. 자기 자신과의 내적 의사소통을 통해 개인적인 심리적 요소의 의식화 과정을 자극하는 그림으로 제안해볼 수 있다.;The purpose of this study was to examine whether adolescents' drawings with smartphone theme are available for the art therapy. To this end, it asked adolescents who use smartphones to draw drawings of them, and then investigated what information the collected drawings provided and whether the information was can be available for the art therapy. For this, the standardized adolescent smartphone addiction diagnosis criterion developed by Korean Informationalization Promotion Center(2011) and the drawings with smartphone theme were conducted in ○○ internet addiction prevention consultation center, ○○ High School, and ○○ Education Center from February 22nd to May 31st, 2015 targeting total 50 male and female adolescents aged 14-19 who were using the smartphone and resided in S City. The number of male students was 28 one of female students was 22, one of middle school students was 23, and one of high school students was 27. The number of high risk users was 3, one of potential risk users was 10, one of general users was 37, the one day use time was maximum 7~18 hours, minimum 1~2 hours. The favorite applications were Kakaotalk 45 persons, Facebook 31 persons, and game 15 persons. Following conclusions and discussions can be drawn from the findings. The drawings with smartphone theme are categorized by their forms and contents characteristics. The former factors such as space use, position of object, kind of selected materials, size of character, property of line and insertion of letter are analyzed. The latter factors including information of perception on and interactions among smartphone, self, friend, family and environment are also analyzed. Not only contents individuals attempt to communication, but also inner thoughts and emotions, perception on self and outer world, and personal relationships and how to cope with them are reflected in the drawings. First, the drawings with smartphone theme may be used as tools for complementing disadvantages of self-assessment of smartphone addiction, a kind of self-report in the art therapy. Thus, clients' empirical information can be provided in collecting general information for diagnosis and therapy of their conditions. It is difficult to verify whether the participants are addicted to the smartphone through their drawings of it, but some empirical materials may be provided to infer the part of interactions between smartphones and participants, which are associated with use of them. Second, the drawing with smartphone theme can be used as an art therapy technique. The procedure of it is simple, so it is easy to use in the clinical field of art therapy. It is also a tool which reflects the inner state of clients and looks at problems of them. It can be used as a therapy technique and an art therapy technique for initial interview and motivation. It can be available as a relaxation method for comfort, trust and motivation of adolescents and formation of rapport between them and therapists in the initial interviews. In addition, as an art therapy technique for motivation, it can motivate clients to recognize their problems and participate in the early therapy, through their drawing works and products. Moreover, it is expected to induce their insight, learning and growth by facilitating the therapy. It can be suggested as the drawings that stimulate their awareness of individual psychological factors, through inner communications with their own selves.
