고등학생의 부모애착이 진로미결정에 미치는 영향

Abstract

본 연구에서는 고등학생의 부모애착이 진로미결정에 미치는 영향에 있어 역기능적 진로사고의 매개역할을 알아보고자 하였다. 이를 위해 서울 ․ 경기 소재의 고등학교에 재학 중인 고등학교 2학년 519명을 대상으로 질문지법을 통해 자료를 수집하였고 그 중에서 무응답과 불성실한 응답을 한 설문지 21부를 제외한 498부가 분석자료로 사용되었다. 수집된 자료는 SPSS 22.0 프로그램을 이용하여 상관분석 및 단순회귀분석, 중다회귀분석, 부트스트래핑 매개분석을 실시하였다. 측정도구의 신뢰도를 알아보기 위해 내적 합치도(Cronbach's α)를 산출하였고, 상관분석을 통해 부모애착, 진로미결정, 역기능적 진로사고의 상관관계를 살펴보았으며 각 변인별 하위요인들의 상관관계를 살펴보았다. 단순회귀분석을 통해 부모애착이 진로미결정에 미치는 영향과, 부모애착이 역기능적 진로사고에 미치는 영향을 살펴보았고, 중다회귀분석을 통해 부모애착의 하위요인이 진로미결정과 역기능적 진로사고에 미치는 영향을 살펴보았으며, 부트스트래핑 매개 분석(bootstrapping mediation analysis)을 통해 부모애착이 진로미결정에 영향을 미치는 과정에서 역기능적 진로사고가 매개 변인의 역할을 하는지 알아보았다. 본 연구의 연구문제와 가설에 따라 요약한 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 고등학생이 지각한 부모애착의 하위요인들과 진로미결정의 하위요인들 간의 상관관계를 분석한 결과 부모애착은 진로미결정과 -.38의 상관관계를 보였고, 부모애착은 역기능적 진로사고와 -.35의 상관관계를 보였으며 진로미결정과 역기능적 진로사고의 상관관계는 .78로 나타나, 부모애착과 진로미결정, 부모애착과 역기능적 진로사고 사이에는 유의한 부적 상관관계를 보였고, 진로미결정과 역기능적 진로사고는 높은 상관관계를 보였다. 둘째, 고등학생이 지각한 부모애착이 진로미결정에 영향을 미치는지를 알아보기 위해 회귀분석을 실시하였고, 그 결과 부모애착은 진로 미결정에 대해 유의미한 부적 영향을 미쳐 부모애착이 높아지면 진로 미결정이 낮아짐을 보였다. 셋째, 고등학생의 부모애착과 진로미결정의 관계에서 역기능적 진로사고의 매개효과를 알아보기 위해 부트스트래핑 매개분석을 실시한 결과 부모애착과 진로미결정 사이에서 역기능적 진로사고가 매개 역할을 하는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 연구 결과는 부모 애착 정도가 낮은 학생은 역기능적 진로사고를 많이 하며, 역기능적 진로를 많이 하는 학생은 진로 결정을 잘 하지 못하는 것을 의미하며, 이는 역기능적 진로사고가 진로 결정에 있어 중요한 역할을 하는 매개변인임을 시사해 준다. 본 연구의 의의는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 고등학생의 부모애착 정도를 살펴봄으로써 대학생들을 대상으로 이루어진 연구 대상을 고등학생으로 확대했다는 점에서 의의가 있다. 둘째, 고등학생의 부모애착이 진로미결정에 유의한 영향을 미친다는 것을 밝혔다는 점에서 의의가 있다. 셋째, 부모애착과 진로미결정 사이에서 역기능적 진로사고가 매개역할을 한다는 것을 밝혔다는 점에서 의의가 있다.;The purpose of this study is to investigate the mediating effects of dysfunctional career thoughts between parental attachment and career indecision of high school students. A total of 498 high school students in Korea were selected as a research participant to provide data for analysis. The participants completed questionnaires of the Inventory of Parent Attachment(IPA), Korean Career Indecision Inventory(K-CII) and Career Thoughts Inventory(CTI). For data analysis, the correlational analysis, multiple regression analysis and bootstrapping mediation analysis were carried out using the SPSS 22.0 program. Correlation analysis was conducted to see whether there was a correlation between attachment variables perceived by high school students and career indecision, and multiple regression analysis was performed to see if parental attachment perceived by high school students influenced career indecision. Finally, bootstrapping mediation analysis was conducted to see there were mediating effects of dysfunctional career thoughts between parental attachment and career indecision. The results of this study were as follows: First, after correlation between parental attachment perceived by high school students and career indecision, there was a negative correlation between parental attachment and career indecision. Also there was a negative correlation between parental attachment and dysfunctional career thoughts and there was a significant positive correlation between career indecision and dysfunctional career thoughts. Second, as a result of test for the effects of parental attachment on the career indecision, the regression was carried out and the result was parental attachment had negative effects on the career indecision. This means that if there was high parental attachment, he or she had low career indecision. Third, in general, as for the relationship between parental attachment and career indecision, carried out by the bootstrapping mediation analysis, dysfunctional career thoughts play a mediating role in the relationship of parental attachment and career indecision. This enables an integrative understanding of the structural relationship among parental attachment, career indecision and dysfunctional career thoughts. This implies that the higher parental attachment there was, the less dysfunctional career thoughts there was. The implications of this study are as follows: First, this study expanded the research subjects focusing on college students by examining the effects of attachment to parents who are close to high school students, on career indecision. Second, this study verified that there were significant relationships among attachment to parents, career indecision and dysfunctional career thoughts. Also, career indecision is influenced by their parental attachment. Third, resulting from bootstrapping mediation analysis, which was aimed to reveal the relationships among attachment to parents, career indecision and dysfunctional career thoughts, in relation to parental attachment and career indecision, dysfunctional career thoughts proved to have a significantly influence. As results stated above, the effects of dysfunctional career thoughts were the important factor that had influences on career indecision. In this regard, the results of this study can be used to provide a direction of counseling for students who are in trouble of career indecision.
