Abstract

본 논문은 석사과정 이수를 위한 졸업연주회 프로그램인 안토니오 비발디(Antonio Vivaldi, 1678-1741)의 오페라 <폰토의 여왕, 아르실다, Arsilda, regina di Ponto RV 700>의 아리아“명예의 기쁨(Col piacer della mia fede), 나는 자스민 나무라네(Io son quel gelsomino)”, 프란츠 슈베르트(Franz Schubert, 1797-1828)의 가곡 <바위위의 목동, Der Hirt auf dem Felsen Op.129>, 가브리엘 포레(Gabriel Faurè, 1845-1924)의 연가곡 <베네치아의 5개의 노래, Cinq Mèlodies de Venise Op.58>, 호아킨 뚜리나(Joaquin Turina, 1882-1949)의 연가곡 <노래 형식의 시, Poema en forma de canciones Op.19>을 중심으로 작곡가의 생애와 곡들의 특징에 대해 살펴본다. 이탈리아 베네치아가 낳은 위대한 작곡가 비발디의 오페라 <폰토의 여왕, 아르실다, Arsilda, regina di Ponto RV 700>는 비발디의 세 번째 오페라 작품으로“명예의 기쁨(Col piacer della mia fede)”은 1막 2장에 나오는 니칸드로의 아리아이다. 극중 아르실다 여왕의 부하로 적들을 물리쳐 승리의 기쁨을 안겨드리겠다고 아르실다 여왕에게 충성을 맹세하는 내용으로 니칸드로의 승리를 표현한 자신감 넘치는 음형들이 특징이다. "나는 자스민 나무라네(Io son quel gelsomino)”는 1막 12장에 나오는 리제아의 친구인 미린다의 아리아 이다. 그녀는 시냇가에 피는 순수한 하얀 자스민 나무로 자신을 묘사하였으며, 외로이 숨어있는 쟈스민 나무와 벌이 날아오는 모습 등 자연을 묘사한 음형들이 특징이다. 독일의 낭만적 예술 가곡의 창시자 슈베르트의 가곡인 <바위위의 목동, Der Hirt auf dem Felsen Op.129>은 뮐러(Wilhelm Müller, 1794-1827)와 쉐지(Helmine von Chézy, 1783-1856)의 시를 사용하여 사랑하는 연인을 그리워하는 목동의 심정을 그린 노래이다. 연인을 그리워하는 목동의 심리 변화를 선율과 화성, 형식과 반주를 통해 생생하게 전달하는 슈베르트의 음악적 특징을 엿 볼 수 있으며 피아노와 성악, 그리고 클라리넷의 오블리가토가 돋보이는 곡이다. 프랑스를 대표하는 위대한 작곡가 포레의 연가곡 <베네치아의 5개의 노래, Cinq Mèlodies de Venise Op.58>은 상징주의 시인인 베를랜느(Paul Verlaine, 1844-1896)의 시에 작곡된 5개의 연가곡이다. 이는 연인들이 사랑하는 과정을 그린 곡으로 프랑스 특유의 서정적 선율과 반음계적 화성 및 과감한 전조를 통해 시를 표현하는 포레의 음악적 특징들이 돋보이는 곡이다. 스페인의 20세기 민족주의 작곡가 뚜리나의 연가곡 <노래 형식의 시, Poema en forma de canciones Op.19>은 캄포아모르(Ramon de Campoamor, 1817-1901)의 4개의 시에 붙여진 작품으로 사랑에 관한 총 5개의 연가곡이다. 스페인 민속적 음악의 특징과 뚜리나만이 가지고 있는 독특한 색채를 한껏 발휘한 곡이다.;The thesis concentrates on the graduate recital program for the completion of the master’s degree. The study will examine the life of the composer and the musical features of the following works; Aria ‘Col piacer della mia fede’ and ‘Io son quel gelsomino’ from the opera <Arsilda, regina di Ponto RV 700> by Antonio Vivaldi (1678-1741), <Der Hirt auf dem Felsen Op. 129> by Franz Schubert (1797-1828), <Cinq Mèlodies de Venise Op.58> by Gabriel Fauré (1845-1924), and <Poema en forma de canciones op.19> by Joaquin Turina (1882-1949). One of Italy’s greatest composers, Vivaldi, made his third opera <Arsilda, regina di Ponto>.‘Col piacer della mia fede’is the aria sung by Nicandro at act 1 scene 2. Nicandro, a subordinate of the Arsilda queen, swears loyalty that she will defeat all enemies to give the pleasure of victory to its queen. The confident music figures that expresses the victory of Nicandro is one of the music features to examine.`Io son quel gelsomino' is the aria from act 1 scene 12 sung by Mirinda, a confidante of Lisea. She describes herself as a pure white jasmine tree growing along the brook, and the music figures that express the nature, such as a solely hidden jasmine tree and a flying bee, are some distinctive characteristics of Vivaldi. <Der Hirt auf dem Felsen, Op. 129> is an art song composed by Schubert, who is the creator of Germany’s romantic art songs. The song sets is lyrics based on the poem by Müller and Chézy, depicting the feeling of a shepherd boy who is yearning for its lover. The yearning heart of the shepherd boy is conveyed through melody, harmony, form, and accompaniment. Moreover, the piece stands out due to the trio with piano, vocal, and clarinet. Based on the 5 poems by Paul Verlaine (1844-1896), <Cinq Mèlodies de Venise Op.58> is made by a representative French composer, G. Fauré. Fauré described the process of a development between the two lovers by using French unique style of lyrical melodies, chromatic harmonies, and key shifts. <Poema en forma de canciones Op.19>, a song cycle composed with 5 love songs, is made by Spain‘s 20th century nationalism composer, J.Turina. The piece adopts the lyrics from 4poems by Ramonde Campoamor(1817-1901). This cycle well shows the charm of Spanish folk music along with the unique color of Turina‘s style.
