Abstract

본 논문은 석사 졸업 연주회 프로그램을 중심으로 작곡가의 생애와 음악적 특징, 작품에 대해 알아보고 곡에 적용하여 보다 나은 연주를 하고자 하였다. 프로그램은 총 6개 스테이지로, 바로크 시대부터 20세기에 이르는 작품을 선보였다. 마지막 스테이지를 제외하고는 모두 시대 순으로 배열했으며, 다섯 가지 언어로 구성하였다. 바로크 시대 작곡가 안토니오 비발디(Antonio Vivaldi, 1678-1741)의 오페라『라 그리젤다 (La Griselda)』 2막 2장에 나오는 아리아「두 줄기의 바람이 휘몰아치고 (Agitata da due venti)」는 연인과 헤어질지도 모르는 절박한 상황을 담은 코스탄자의 아리아로, 두 옥타브를 넘나드는 음역대와 아주 뛰어난 기교를 필요로 하는 것이 특징이다. 고전시대 작곡가 프란츠 요제프 하이든(Franz Joseph Haydn, 1732-1809)은 15개의 오페라, 12개의 미사곡, 2개의 오라토리오 등을 남겼다. 『천지창조 (Die Schöpfung)』는 하나님이 천지를 창조하는 과정을 그린 오라토리오로, 그 중 소프라노 아리아「눈앞에 환히 펼쳐진 (Nun beut die Flur)」은 아름다운 선율양식과 콜로라투라의 기교도 함께 보일 수 있는 곡이다. 낭만시대 작곡가 안토닌 드보르작(Antonín Dvorák, 1841-1904)은 체코 국민주의를 대표하는 작곡가로서, 70여곡에 달하는 가곡을 남겼다. 그의 연가곡『사랑의 노래 (Písne milostné, Op.83)』는 드보르작이 사랑했던 요세피나와의 사랑이 실패하자 그 실연의 아픔을 담아 작곡한 곡으로, 곡의 처음부터 끝까지 나오는 슬픈 감정을 느린 템포와 빠른 템포로 서로 다르게 표현한 것이 특징이다. 후기 낭만시대 작곡가 프랑시스 풀랑(Francis Poulenc, 1899-1963)은 프랑스 현대음악의 대표 작곡가로, 연가곡『변형 (Métamorphoses, FP.121)』은 루이즈 드 빌모렝의 시에 곡을 붙인 것이다. 이 연가곡은 시의 각 주제 사이에 연관성이 보이지 않고, 서로 다른 이야기를 다양한 색깔로 보여주고 있다. 20세기 작곡가 사무엘 바버(Samuel Barber, 1910-1981)는 미국의 대표 작곡가로, 48곡의 출판된 가곡 및 피아노곡집과 두 편의 오페라 등을 작곡했다. 연가곡『은둔자의 노래 (Hermit Songs, Op.29)』의 주제는 종교적인 것들과 세속적인 것들까지 포함하며, 시의 운율적 불규칙성을 그대로 담아내기 위해 박자표를 생략한 것이 특징이다. 낭만시대 작곡가 조아끼노 로씨니(Gioacchino Rossini, 1792-1868)의 오페라『브루스키노씨 (Il Signor Bruschino)』는 단막의 오페라이다. 그 중 아리아「아! 당신들은 아시나요 (Ah! voi condur volete)」는 자신이 사랑하는 사람과 결혼할 수 있게 해 달라고 간청하는 소피아의 아리아로, 절절한 마음을 담아 간청하는 카바티나 부분과 사랑의 감정을 주최하지 못하며 흥분한 채로 간청하는 카발레타 부분의 두 가지 모습을 표현해 낸 것이 특징이다.;The purpose of this study is to analyze master degree recital program and to reflect the analysis for better performance. This paper looks into the lives and musical characteristics of different composers and their music pieces. The recital program consists of six stages, songs from the Baroque era to the twentieth century. All stages, excluding the last stage, are arranged in time order and the repertoires are in five different languages. Antonio Vivaldi(1678-1741), a Baroque composer, wrote the opera《La Griselda》. ‘Agitata da due venti’is an aria sung by Costanza from Act 2, Scene 2. The aria reveals her desperate fear of losing her lover. This song requires high technique and a wide voice range over two octaves. Franz Joseph Haydn(1732-1809), a Classical period composer, wrote many works including 15 operas, 12 masses and 2 oratorios. His oratorio《Die Schöpfung》depicts the creation of heaven and earth. A solo aria ‘Nun beut die Flur’, is full of beautiful melody patterns and coloratura techniques. Antonín Dvorák(1841-1904) is a Romantic composer who stands for the Bohemian nationalism. He composed over 70 art songs. His song cycle《Písne milostné, Op.83》reveals his heartbroken loss of Josefina who he loved. All pieces in this song cycle express his sorrow in both slow and fast tempos. A late Romantic period composer, Francis Poulenc(1899-1963), is the representative of the modern French music. His song cycle《Métamorphoses, FP.121》is written with the poems of Louise de Vilmorin. The pieces have distinct themes and express different stories in various colors. Samuel Barber(1910-1981) is a composer from the twentieth century who represents the American composers. He wrote many music pieces including 48 published art songs and piano pieces and 2 operas.《Hermit Songs, Op.29》 is a song cycle with various themes of both religious and secular music. This song cycle deliberately omits the time signature in order to show the irregular cadence of the poems. 《Il Signor Bruschino》is an one-act opera written by the Romantic composer Gioacchino Rossini(1792-1868). One of Sofia’s arias, ‘Ah! voi condur volete’, pleads with her desire for marriage. This aria reveals her plea both in the cavatina, showing her ardent heart, and in the cabaletta, expressing her excitement of love.
