원단종류에 따른 한복 전통배색의 이미지 차이 연구

Abstract

In modern society, hanbok is less preferred to be worn as everyday dress due to introduction of western culture and formalization of hanbok, as the biggest problem of this situation, the representative reason is difficulty in washing and managing hanbok material. However, recently as hanbok fashion designed with modern clothes materials as cotton and linen, etc. among 2030 generation, a direction to modernize hanbok has been suggested. Also, there's a necessity to improve the function of hanbok by using modern clothes materials using traditional color arrangement, the attractive factor of hanbok. Here, this research intended to evaluate the degree that people feel the traditionality of hanbok when suggesting it in modern fabric with traditional color arrangement and suggest modern fabric and traditional color arrangement available for modernized hanbok as a method to modernize hanbok. For this, this research selected traditional hanbok color arrangement, traditional fabric, and modern fabric to utilize for this research after conducting theoretical research that investigated literature and advanced research on traditional hanbok color arrangement, fabric used for hanbok, and the kinds of fabric used in modern clothes, and conducted empirical study that researched traditionality and emotionality image in color arrangement by suggesting color arrangement sample produced by using this. Then, conducted comparative analysis by calculating the average of each traditionality and emotionality image by classifying the research results into color arrangement type, fabric type, and fabric surface characteristic. As the result, traditionality was felt in order of green red arrangement, yellow blue arrangement, and white black arrangement, and harmonious and naturalness and traditionality were felt in order of the fabric with less gloss as cotton, and gapsa. However, traditional color arrangement, which has strong contrast as green red arrangement on characteristic, traditionality could be weakened when they are harmonious, simple, and neat. Based on this, as the result of conducting additional empirical study by increasing traditional color arrangement types by using single and mesh, evaluated as modern fabric, traditionality and preference appeared high when arranging green and yellow jeogori and red and reddish skirt. Based on the above research results, the researcher expects that traditionality of hanbok could be maintained and a direction to modernize it could be derived by utilizing traditional hanbok color arrangement using modern fabric.;현대에 이르러 한복은 서구문물의 유입과 한복의 예복화로 인해 일상복으로 입혀지기 꺼려지고 있는데, 이러한 상황의 가장 큰 문제점으로 한복 소재의 세탁 및 관리의 어려움이 대표적으로 꼽히고 있다. 하지만 최근 2030세대 사이에서 면과 린넨 같은 현대 의복소재로 디자인한 한복패션이 유행함으로써, 한복을 현대화하기 위한 방향이 제시되었다. 또한 한복의 매력적인 요소로 가장 많이 손꼽히는 전통배색을 이용한 현대의복소재를 사용해 한복의 기능이 개선되어야 할 필요성이 있다. 이에 본 연구에서는 한복을 현대화하기 위한 방안으로서 전통한복배색을 현대원단으로 제시하였을 때, 이를 전통적으로 느끼는 정도를 평가하고 현대화된 한복에 사용 가능한 현대원단과 전통배색을 제시하고자 하였다. 이를 위해 전통한복배색과 한복에 사용되는 원단과 현대의복에 사용되는 원단 종류에 관한 문헌 및 선행연구를 조사하는 이론적 연구를 진행한 후, 본 연구에 활용할 전통한복배색과 전통원단 및 현대원단들을 선정하였고, 이를 이용해 제작한 배색 샘플을 제시하여 배색에서 느껴지는 전통성과 감성이미지를 조사하는 실증연구를 진행하였다. 그 후 연구결과를 배색종류별, 원단종류별, 원단표면특성별로 분류하여 각각의 전통성과 감성이미지의 평균값을 산출하여 비교분석하였다. 그 결과 녹적배색, 황청배색, 백흑배색 순으로 전통적이라 느끼고, 갑사, 면과 같이 원단의 광택이 적고, 원사가 굵을수록 조화롭고, 자연적이고, 전통적으로 느끼는 것으로 나타났다. 단 녹적배색처럼 강한 대비가 특징인 전통배색들은 조화롭고, 수수하고, 단정할수록 전통성이 약해질 수도 있다. 이를 바탕으로 현대적인 원단으로 평가된 싱글과 메시를 이용해 전통배색 종류를 늘려 추가 실증연구를 진행한 결과, 녹색과 황색계열 저고리, 적색과 홍색계열 치마를 배색하였을 때 전통성과 선호도가 높은 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 본 연구의 결과를 바탕으로 현대적 원단을 이용한 전통한복배색을 활용하여 한복의 전통성을 유지하며 현대화할 수 있는 방향을 이끌어 낼 수 있을 것이라 기대한다.
