앱 개발에서의 디자이너와 개발자의 협업을 위한 온라인 협업용 웹사이트 시나리오 제안

Abstract

Recent mobile application development and design has revolved around collaborative work between designers and developers, accentuating the importance of cooperation between the two. There has been significant increase of demands for online tools assisting the joint activities. The function and environment of online collaboration tools have become a critical structural element in building the application, considering the effect it has on the overall outcome product. Despite the meaning and needs behind the online collaboration tools, it has not proved its effectiveness among users. This study explores into ways of overcoming limitations developers and designers face in using online collaboration platforms and suggests ways to achieve effective work results by proposing a process based user scenario which takes collaborative aspects into consideration. To achieve the above study purpose, literature analysis is used to understand team, teamwork and design collaborations and processes of designers. General functions of online collaboration tools are explained and case studies reveal the limitations of online collaboration tools during the process of application development and design. The results show further need for improvement in online collaboration tools. User research is used to identify the needs and job traits of developers and designers as well as the difficulties faced during collaborative processes. The limitation factors in collaboration tools are divided into shared factors and specific factors, followed by a guideline based on five findings drawn from work characteristics and problems found in current tools. A joint and progressive scenario is developed showing the process of application development and design using the online collaboration tool. The scenarios take into consideration both the needs of designers and developers depending on their job components and procedures in a collaborative working environment, solving the current limitations. This thesis addresses and suggests issues that need to be tackled in order to enhance online collaboration tools within a collaborative perspective by providing guidelines and website user scenarios to develop a new online collaboration website and utilizing the tools for effective collaboration during application development and design.;최근의 앱 개발 활동은 디자이너와 개발자들 간의 팀으로 이루어진 협업을 중심으로 이루어지고 있으며, 이러한 협업은 매우 중요하게 인식되고 있다. 이에 따라 앱 개발 시의 협업의 업무들을 도와줄 수 있는 온라인 협업도구에 대한 니즈가 점점 커지게 되었다. 앱 개발 과정에서 사용되는 온라인 협업도구의 환경 및 기능들은 결과물의 질에 영향을 미치기 때문에 앱 결과물을 완성함에 있어서 매우 중요한 요소가 된다. 그러나 이러한 온라인 협업도구의 의의와 그 필요성에도 불구하고 실제로 사용자들에게는 그 실효를 거두지 못하고 있다. 본 연구는 개발자와 디자이너가 온라인 도구를 사용함에 있어 나타나는 한계점을 해결하고 업무적 효과를 보다 더 잘 달성하도록 하기 위해, 프로세스 기반으로 협업의 측면을 고려한 온라인 협업 도구의 사용자 시나리오를 제안하였다. 이에 본 연구는 문헌을 통해 디자이너가 참여하는 디자인 협업과 프로세스, 그에 따른 업무들을 파악하였다. 또한 앱 개발 및 디자인 시에 사용되는 온라인 협업도구를 이해하기 위해 온라인 협업도구를 정의하고 문헌을 통해 일반적 기능을 정리하고 사례를 통해 현황을 파악하였다. 이를 통해 앱 개발 및 디자인 시에 사용되는 온라인 협업도구 개발의 필요성을 확인하였다. 그리고 사용자 조사를 통해 협업의 어려움과 니즈를 확인하였으며, 협업도구를 사용함에 있어서의 한계점을 도출하였다. 그리고 도출된 업무적 특성에 따른 니즈와, 협업도구의 한계점들을 토대로 가이드라인을 제시하였다. 최종적으로 앱 개발 시, 온라인 협업도구가 사용되는 모습을 시나리오로 개발하였다. 본 연구는 협업의 관점에서 협업도구가 좀 더 효율적으로 제공될 수 있는 방안을 모색하고, 기존의 온라인 협업도구의 기능이 개선되어야할 점을 밝혀 가이드라인과 협업용 웹사이트의 사용자 시나리오를 제안하였다. 이를 바탕으로 향후 새로운 온라인 협업용 웹사이트를 구현하게 된다면 앱 개발 시 협업에 효율적으로 활용될 수 있을 것이라 기대한다.
