여성의 이미지를 표현한 도자 조형 연구

Abstract

현대사회 여성들은 다양한 성취동기와 목적의식을 갖고 사회의 여러 분야에서 활발히 활동을 하고 있다. 사회의 각 분야에 진출한 여성들은 성역의 구분 없이 자신의 능력과 업무를 통해 성취감을 얻고자한다. 반면 가정에서의 역할을 담당하는 여성들은 가사와 양육이라는 이들이 갖는 고유적인 역할을 통해 만족감을 얻고자 한다. 본 연구는 일하는 여성의 사회성을 나타내는 도구와 가정에서의 역할을 나 태내는 도구의 결합을 통해 여성의 일상적인 모습을 은유적으로 표현하고자 하였다. 이를 위해, 우선 여성을 표현하는 사회적 도구와 가정적 도구를 조사하였고, 디자인 과정에서 연구 의도에 맞는 여성을 나타내는 이미지를 선택하였다. 여성을 표현하는 사회적 도구로써 가방과 하이힐, 립스틱, 권총, 향수를 주 소재로 하였고, 가정적 도구는 주방용품 중 숟가락, 젓가락, 포크, 나이프, 컵의 손잡이, 젖병을 선택하였으며, 두 요소를 결합하여 작품을 전개하였다. 특히, 하이힐은 여성의 사회성을 표현하기도 하지만, 내적으로는 여성의 아름다움을 표출 할 수 있는 소재이다. 전체적인 라인이나 높은 굽은 여성의 자존심을 나타내기도 하고 여성만이 가질 수 있는 미적 표현의 매개체이다. 연구자는 이러한 하이힐의 높은 굽으로써 다양한 분야에 활동하고 있는 여성의 진취적이고 도전적인 모습을 표현하고자 하였다. 또한, 가방(bag)을 이용한 작품 제작에 있어서는 질감 표현에 중점을 두었는데, 그 이유는 현대 여성의 세련된 이미지를 가방의 형태나 질감 표현에서 찾으려 했다. 주방용품과의 결합 과정에 있어서 각각의 형태는 다르지만, 두 도구의 질감이 단조로움을 줄 수 있어 여성의 사회성을 나타내는 이미지인 가방의 질감을 더욱 강조하였다. 제작 방법으로, 반복적인 형태와 작품의 세밀한 표현을 위해 석고 틀을 이용한 드레인(drain) 기법과 솔리드(soild) 기법을 사용하였으며, 반복과 결합의 방법으로 표현하였다. 도자만이 갖는 물성과 흙의 가소성에서의 휘어지는 성질을 이용하여 여성의 상징적인 도구의 선을 아름답게 표현하고자 하였다.; Research representation in symbolically for women labor.Women in modern society are trying to accomplish and improve their leadership skills through social advance.Usually childbirth and upbringing are thought women’s roll or duty and it’s Even on an equal basis with men in reality it is given the opportunity to demonstrate their ability; it is hard to perform their job properly in the workplace with doing childbirth and upbringing. This world is unfavorably for working women. No matter how work hard, the women should delivery the role in their home gracefully indeed. It is really hard stuff to make all the people satisfied as the good worker and the house-keeper. Working women must prove the fact they are dedicating to their children as a mother. In addition, in the work they are felt the pressure their duty as a mother might be disturbed their job, and should prove that it does not interfere with. It is important, not what women do to obtain equal status in the workplace but how to balance the two roles between the worker and the mother.
