세라믹 음료분배기 디자인 연구

Abstract

친환경적인 식문화의 다양한 변화로 현대인은 힐링 푸드에 관심을 갖게 되었다. 최근에는 발효음료와 건강기능 보조음료 제조가 다양화되고 있지만 정작 건강음료를 보관 저장하는 용기(容器)의 대부분은 환경호르몬에 노출되어 있는 PET와 플라스틱, 유리병과 캔이 주류를 이루고 있다. 시판음료 용기는 어쩔 수 없지만 각종 모임이나 홈 파티, 또는 주방에서 만큼은 식음료를 저장보관 할 수 있는 안전한 용기 사용이 필요한 실정이다. 따라서 본 논문은 편리한 기능과 장식적인 효과를 얻을 수 있는 세라믹 분배기 개발에 그 목적을 두고 있다. 연구제품의 기능은 액상타입의 식음료 저장과 편리하게 내용물을 분배 할 수 있는 원스톱 방식을 고안하였고 제작 동기는 장군(缶)의 형태와 기능에서 비롯되었다. 삼국시대부터 조선후기까지 장군(缶)은 물·술·간장·오줌 따위를 담는데 쓰는 그릇으로써 액체를 운반 또는 저장하는 목적으로 사용했다. 본 연구자는 장군의 작은 구연부(口緣部,아가리)에서 힌트를 얻어 아가리 대신 꼭지(수전)를 달아 음용할 물을 담아 둘 수 있고 토출기능을 갖춘 식음료 분배기로 개발하고자 하였다. 연구자는 분배기의 조형성과 장식적인 효과를 얻기 위해 체스(chess)를 선택하게 되었다. 서양장기라 불러지는 체스는 체커(checker) 또는 체스 맨(chess man)이라 불러지는 기물들로서 킹(king), 퀸(queen), 비숍(bishop), 나이트(knight), 그리고, 룩(Rook)과 폰(pawn)의 6개의 기물들로 구성되어 있다. 연구자는 이러한 체스의 기물 구성요소에 나타난 컬렉션 이미지의 조형적 형태를 응용하여 체스의 상징성을 표현하였다. 본 연구자가 제작하는 용기는 식음료 분배 저장기이므로 테이블 세팅이 가능한 모든 모임과 장소의 제약 없이 사용 할 수 있게 단일구성과 상하부 2단 구성으로 각각의 내용물을 다르게 담아 사용할 수 있도록 분배 형태의 편리한 기능을 주었다. 예를 들어 식초, 간장, 매실 액 같은 한 종류 이상의 식음료를 같은 용기에서 원스톱 방식으로 토출할 수 있도록 이단구성으로 제작 했다. 이와 같이 본 연구는 현대인의 식문화 안전을 위한 친환경적 세라믹 분배용기 제작과 식음료 분배 저장에 초점을 맞추어 내용물을 편리하게 토출 할 수 있도록 원스톱 기능을 갖춘 음료분배기 디자인 연구에 의의를 둔다. 따라서 본 연구를 계기로 앞으로도 다양한 실용적 기능을 갖춘 세라믹 용기의 디자인이 연구되길 기대한다.;Our living environment has changed along with the development of the modern society. People today have a great interest in variety of beverages including fermented and organic beverages. However, most of the beverage containers are PET bottles, including plastic, aluminum cans which are known to produce endocrine disrupting chemicals over time. These bottled products are inevitable to consume, but containers used at home should be safe from those chemicals. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to make a safe decorative container that can preserve all types of liquids. As for the function, the object is able to distribute the liquid at one go. This function originates from the ceramic ‘Janggun(cylindrical bottle)’ which was used in the period of the three states to late Chosun dynasty. ‘Janggun’ was used to carry liquids such as soy sauce, alcohol, and water. It had one small hole in the middle which delivered the liquid. As for the decorative feature, the chessman’s shape was used. There are six different chessman, which are King, Queen, Bishop, Knight, Rook, and Pawn. These chessman’s symbolic features were considered competent for the container design, considering its simple decorative function. There are total 12 designs, and its volumes are 2L and 3L. The 2L container can deliver up to 10 cups of 200ml, and 3L container can deliver up to 15 cups of 200ml. This study is based on making a beverage distributor that is used at home or home parties, which can take part as a decoration in the table setting. As a distributing container, the object is composed of 2 bodies. To elaborate, one object is able to contain vinegar in the lower body, and soy sauce in the upper body. This will allow the user to save space and time to use ingredients they need in the kitchen, and provide variety of beverages at once in home parties. The circular part of the body was formed by trapezoidal machine, and the chessman’s symbolic features were expressed by the shape of the lid. The chess board was made with a rough texture that prevents the object from slipping when displayed. As for the slip casting technique, drain casting and solid casting was used. The objects went through biscuit firing for 6 hours at 850 degree. Glaze coating process was done by ducking the object into the transparent glaze and black C glaze. Then, oxide calcination was done for 12 hours at a temperature of 1250 degree. This study is significant in a way that there are no ceramic distributors in the market yet, and it also functions as a safe container that delivers variety of liquids at one go. This study will initiate many others to study ceramic distributor’s convenience and decorativeness and its uniqueness shall be developed farther in the future.
