요인분석과 군집분석을 이용한 청소년 스마트폰 중독의 그룹화

Abstract

우리나라의 스마트폰 보급률이 증가함에 따라 스마트폰 중독에 관한 문제들이 제기되고 있다. ‘한 손의 인터넷’이라고 불리는 스마트폰의 지나친 사용은 청소년과 성인 모두에게 신체적 심리적으로 좋지 못한 영향을 끼칠 수 있다. 특히 신체적, 심리적, 정신적으로 취약한 성인이 되어가는 과도기의 청소년들에게 스마트폰 중독은 우리 사회에 문제가 될 수 있다. 본 연구는 청소년의 스마트폰 중독 실태를 파악하기 위해 스마트폰을 사용하는 학생을 중독군과 비중독군, 남과 여 그룹으로 나누어 각 집단 간의 특징을 알아보고 청소년 정신건강 척도 중 자존감-공격행동, 주의력 결핍 과잉행동, 불안과의 연관성을 살펴보고자 한다. 스마트폰 중독에 관한 33문항을 요인분석(Factor Analysis)을 통해 3가지 요인으로 나누었다. 요인은 건강과 시간과련 요인, 심리 상태 요인, 사회적 기능 요인으로 분류하고 그 특성과 정신건강 척도 3가지 측면과의 관련성을 보았다. 또한 적절한 스마트폰 사용자의 그룹화를 위해 비계층적 군집분석 방법 중 -means 방법을 이용하여 3개의 군집으로 나눈 후 중독군과 비중독군, 남녀 그룹 그리고 정신건강 척도와 관련하여 군집별 특징을 살펴보았다. 본 연구의 자료는 2013년 4~5월 카톨릭대학교 서울성모병원 정신의학과에서 강원도 2개의 중학교 1, 2학년을 대상으로 실시한 스마트폰 중독 관련 설문조사를 이용하였다. 본 연구를 통해 스마트폰 중독의 실태와 그룹별 특성을 파악하여 스마트폰 중독을 적절히 예방하고 대응방안을 통해 청소년들에게 도움을 줄 수 있을 것이다.; As the increase in distribution rate of smartphones in Korea, issues regarding smartphone addictions are also rising. Overuse of smartphone, also known as the 'single-handed internet,' may bring a negative outcome physically and psychologically both to the teenagers and adults. Especially teenagers at the transition stage with physical, psychological and mental vulnerabilities in becoming an adult, are at risk in bringing social problems regarding smartphone addictions. This study will define the characteristics of groups of students with smartphone addiction and those with not, and groups of female and male in identifying the current situation of smartphone addiction and then find out the relation between self-esteem-offensive behavior, attention deficit hyperactivity and anxiety that are one of the mental health criterions. Out of the 33 questionaries of smartphone addictions, using the factor analysis, we have divided it into 3 factors. Factors were divided into health and time related factors, psychological condition factors, and social functioning factors and looked in-depth of the relation of those characteristics with the mental health criterions. Moreover, for the groupage of appropriate smartphone users, -means method; one of the non-hierarchical cluster analysis, was used in examining the characteristics of 3 groups; smartphone addiction and non-addiction group, group of men and women and group related to mental health criterion. Surveys related to smartphone addictions targeting 7th and 8th grade students of 2 middle schools in Gangwon-do province held in April~May 2013, by the department of psychiatry of Seoul St. Mary's hospital Catholic University, was referred for this study. This study will be the basis of finding out the current situation of smart phone addiction and the characteristics per group, and will be the premise in helping the students in preventing smartphone addictions and finding the proper alternatives.
