조부의 긍정적 양육행동이 부의 긍정적 양육행동을 통해 학령기 남아의 학교적응에 미치는 영향

Abstract

This study examined the effects of grandfathers' positive parenting behavior, fathers' positive parenting behavior on school-age boys' school adjustment. A total of 217 5th and 6th grade male elementary school students (126 5th grade and 91 6th grade) and their fathers living in Seoul and Gyeongnam province participated in the study. Children were surveyed regarding perceptions of their fathers' positive parenting behavior and their own school adjustment. And their fathers responded to questionnaires regarding positive parenting behavior of their fathers. The data were analyzed using correlations, and SEM (Structural Equation Modeling). The main results of this study were as follows: Grandfathers' positive parenting behavior indirectly influenced boys' school adjustment through fathers' positive parenting behavior. It means that fathers who perceived their fathers' parenting behavior more positive showed higher level of positive parenting behavior, which led to more positive school adjustment of their sons. In conclusion, the current study uncovered the pathways from grandfathers' positive parenting behavior to school-age boys' school adjustment through fathers' positive parenting behavior in an aspect of the intergenerational transmission of parenting. It is also suggested that fathers' positive parenting behavior has a relatively higher influence on school-age boys' school adjustment. In addition, these findings have implications for future research of developing intervention programs for school-age boys' school adjustment and parent education programs to facilitate fathers' positive parenting behavior for school-age children's school adjustment.;본 연구의 목적은 조부의 긍정적 양육행동이 부의 긍정적 양육행동을 통해 학령기 남아의 학교적응에 간접적인 영향을 미치는지를 살펴보는 것이다. 이를 위해 서울시 및 경상남도에 위치한 3개의 초등학교 5, 6학년에 재학 중인 217명의 남아와 그들의 아버지를 대상으로 질문지법을 사용하여 자료를 수집하였다. 조부와 부의 긍정적 양육행동은 이선희(2012)가 개발한 저학년 자녀의 부모용 양육행동 척도를 서한누리(2013)가 학령 후기 아동 보고용으로 수정한 척도 중‘온정’과‘논리적 설명’하위요인을 아버지용과 아동용으로 수정하여 사용하였다. 학령기 남아의 학교적응은 조수정(2014)의 학령 후기 아동용 학교적응 척도를 사용하여 측정하였다. 수집된 자료는 SPSS 21.0과 AMOS 21.0 프로그램을 사용하여 상관관계 분석과 구조방정식 모형 분석을 실시하였다. 본 연구의 연구문제에 따른 결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 조부의 긍정적 양육행동은 부의 긍정적 양육행동을 통해 학령기 남아의 학교적응에 간접적인 영향을 미쳤다. 즉, 아버지가 어린 시절 자신의 아버지로부터 긍정적 양육을 경험했다고 지각할수록 학령기 남아가 지각하는 아버지의 양육행동 또한 긍정적이었으며, 학령기 남아가 아버지의 양육행동을 긍정적으로 지각할수록 학교적응을 잘하였다. 본 연구는 학령기 남아의 학교적응에 있어서 아버지의 긍정적 양육행동의 세대 간 전이 측면을 살펴봄과 더불어 부자관계의 시대적 흐름에 따른 변화와 그에 따른 역할을 규명함으로써 양육의 세대 간 전이에 관한 연구를 확장한 데 의의가 있다. 본 연구결과는 학령기 남아의 긍정적인 학교적응을 돕기 위한 예방 및 중재 프로그램 개발의 기초자료로 활용될 수 있을 것이며, 또한 아버지의 긍정적 양육행동을 돕는 아버지 대상 부모교육 프로그램의 기초자료로 활용될 수 있을 것이다.
