국내· 외 노인 대상 음악연구 분석

Abstract

본 연구는 국내·외 노인 대상 음악연구의 전반적 특성, 음악 적용 현황, 음악 적용 방법에 따라 내용을 분석하여 국내·외를 비교하는 것을 목적으로 두었다. 최초개제년도인 1977년부터 현재까지의 노인을 대상으로 하는 음악연구를 전자데이터베이스를 통해 검색하여 기준에 적합한 연구를 포함하는 국내 25편, 국외 36편 총 61편을 선정하여 분석하였다. 분석결과, 처음 연구가 보고된 시작 시점에 있어 국내는 국외에 비해 20여년 뒤에 보고되어 노인 인구 증가 대비 연구의 편수는 이에 미치지 못하나 증가하는 추세이다. 연구 유형은 국내·외 총 61편 중 40편이 응용연구이며, 국내·외 모두 우울을 변인으로 한 정서영역이 가장 많은 비중을 차지하였다. 국내 음악 적용 방법은 정서영역에서 민요와 대중가요를 활용한 가창활동, 국외는 클래식 및 명상음악의 감상이 주된 활동으로 나타났다. 결과적으로, 국내·외 연구의 차이는 국내에 비해 많은 편수를 보이는 국외의 노인에 대한 이른 관심이 반영된 것으로 사료된다. 또한 국외는 다양한 영역을 다루며 연구의 범위가 넓어 성공적 노화의 높은 요구를 반영한 것으로 나타났다. 따라서 추후 국내연구는 노인 대상 음악연구의 관심 범위를 넓히고 음악을 통한 다양한 기법의 적용이나 개발이 필요하다.; The purpose of the study is based on analyzing overall characteristics of musical research, status of musical application, method of musical application, etc. for domestic and foreign older adults in order to compare and contrast the information in both domestic and foreign domains. Total of 61 music-related research papers including 25 of domestic and 36 of foreign ones from the initial nomination date of 1977 until the present were selected and analysed. According to the analysis, when it comes to the initial point of report for the research, domestic results tend to be reported 20 years after they’re reported abroad and the volume of research based on population growth of the elders tends to fall short in comparison but there’s been an increasing trend. For the research types, 40 of the 61 papers are about applications and both foreign and domestic results are based on emotional domain with depression as the main cause of change. In domestic setting, activities for musical application mostly consist of singing folk songs and pop songs whereas in foreign settings listening to classic or meditative music tend to be the main way of application. Overall, it seems that the research papers abroad reflect the early interest in older adults musical preferences. Not only that, foreign researches that focus on all domains reflect high demands that come with successful ageing process. Therefore, domestic research should strive to extend the domain of musical research and to apply various methods in regards to music-related applications for the older adults.
