The purposes of this study are to develop a lesson plan for a class to design a ‘musical’targeting sophomores at high schools and to apply the lesson plan to an actual class. There, the lesson plan is drawn up with a co-op co-op model applied. A lot of educational experts agree that the ‘learner-centered’ education that considers what the learners would like to learn or do in the class is the very direction and purpose as well that the education in the world should pursue. That being so, several educational methods are being developed and investigated, and as one of such educational methods, the ‘co-op co-op’ fully reflects ‘autonomy’ that is requested by the learners and aims this value to maximize learning effects to the fullest. Of all the cooperative learning methods, the‘co-op co-op’ is a model that reflects the most of the ‘principle of autonomy’ and these positive effects, which are realized as the model is applied to learning activities, such as the learners’‘creativity’ and ‘harmony and responsibility’ acquired through the cooperative learning activities contribute to the ‘co-op co-op’ model’s being frequently used in multiple textbooks. Even in ‘music’ class, many teaching and learning methods with the ‘co-op co-op’ model applied are being developed and yet, researches on how to combine the model with a ‘musical’ have been hardly carried out but, considering how constantly students are interested in the ‘musical’, this study decided to make use of the ‘co-op co-op’to develop and discuss both the lesson plan and lesson materials to be used in this class of designing a ‘musical’The study looked into the target grade of the class and the suitability of the contents of the textbook and then, proceeded with its investigation through research procedures with the ADDIE model applied. The lesson plan consisted of four sessions, and they were all connected with significance. Through those four sessions, the learners participate in the activities to understand the musical, to sing songs, to create and to actually watch the work, and during every session, the learners work to accomplish not only the aims of the subject but also the goals of the ‘co-op co-op’, in order to fulfill this goal to present the ‘musical’, the learners join these learning activities that fully reflect the learners’ autonomy. The lesson plan and the lesson materials in this study were created by a group of five experts including three in-service teachers, and another group of 12 experts was formed to verify this ‘role-finding’ program that had been developed to help the learners when they try to create the‘musical gala show’A total of two expert groups verified the content validity of the lesson materials through the valuation survey. Music Class A, B and C consisting of the sophomores at H high school located in Seoul were determined to be the research subjects, and a total of 88 students participated in the research. In terms of the research outcome, the lesson plan with the four sessions included to create the ‘musical’should have been presented, and to be specific, in the class, the learners understand the concept and components of the musical, figure out their own roles through the ‘role-finding’ activity, listen to or sing along the most popular songs of the musical, draw up ‘musical cue sheets’in groups and present their ‘musical’As for the activities in the class, the study used the‘co-op co-op’model to lead the learners to work on their autonomy as much as possible and pursued a ‘class that is enjoyed by everyone’In the teaching-learning activity during the fourth session, the learners understood the ‘musical’ and the ‘musical’ and were led to reach the aim of the subject through this activity which they joined in groups that they had formed voluntarily. The analysis on the research results was conducted based on what had been learned from the interviews with the learners in connection with how satisfied they were with the class, the class log recorded personally by the researcher of this study and the observation log worked on by another music teacher at the same school who had joined the class as an observer. Before the lesson plan was applied to the class, the five experts examined the validity of the lesson plan, and the lesson plan consequently gained 4.56 on a five-point scale which proved the positivity in the lesson plan’s being applied to the actual class. A few of the experts’ advices were accepted when the study tried to revise the lesson plan. In addition, after the lesson plan was applied to the class, the learners’satisfaction with the class, the researcher’s class log as well as the observer’s observation log were analyzed. The class satisfaction of the learners were valuated by the Likert scales, and the first, second, third and fourth sessions came up with 4.48, 4.50, 4.55 and 4.61 points relatively, and the study noticed that the learners’ satisfaction with the class increased one session after another. Not only that, the study learned that the learners were content with the core activity of the class, the ‘role-finding’ program, as much as 4.4. Such result was achieved because, as far as the study assumes, the learners’interest in the musical improved as the class went on one session after another, and through the group activities, the learners were drawn even more to this class in which they could actually share ideas with each other and felt voluntarily responsible for what they were doing in the class and after all, the learners’ finding out how creative and active they could be in the class became one of the greatest reasons for the learners’ high-level of satisfaction with the class. In the light of what has been discussed so far, the study confirmed that the developed lesson plan is a lesson material which is proper enough to be applied to an educational scene and to make music class high-quality, and in such high-quality music class realized by the lesson plan designed in the study, the learners’s musical motivations will be provoked. The study is considered academically significant in that it investigated the music lesson plan with the ‘co-op co-op’model applied, that it improved the learners’ satisfaction with creativity and autonomy and that it enhanced the quality of music class.-
